About U Turn For Christ
U-Turn for Christ is a Christian residential rehab center for men affected by substance misuse in Freehold, New Jersey. They assist you in finding healing and lasting recovery through faith-based principles. They help folks trapped in addiction disease find freedom and reconnect with God, their families and society. Their recovery approach is purely biblical. There is no clinical intervention or 12-step practices.
They operate a two-tier program that delivers the best recovery outcome upon completion. This program is coordinated by an interdisciplinary team including addiction therapists, counselors and pastoral care experts. These professionals work together to ensure you receive the personalized attention and guidance necessary for lasting recovery.
The first phase of their program involves a minimum of two months of biblical fellowship at one of their ranches. You’ll stay in a military-style setting with one large room filled with bunks. This setup encourages healthy fellowship. The recovery team will supervise and support you 24/7. Activities include morning devotions, daily chores or housekeeping and volunteer community support. You’ll also participate in evening Bible study and personal devotion throughout the day.
The second phase is a six-month-long residential commitment that offers more flexibility. This phase gives you the chance to choose between two recovery paths. You can return to your full-time job, make monthly donations and attend church with first-phase participants in the evening. Or you can commit to six months of Christian services in the ministry. This comes with considerable sacrifices and you can be called on at all times to serve in many different ways. You may even be called to serve at other U-Turn for Christ facilities in the United States and worldwide.
Keep in mind that this second phase mustn’t end after six months. It can extend up to a year or more to help you build accountability, biblical fellowship and independent living skills that foster sober living. Whatever path you choose you’ll remain under the supervision of an overseer and must follow all ministry/house rules. Individuals involved with the criminal justice system must complete both phases of the program within eight months.

Levels of Care
Inpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
24-Hour Clinical Care
At certain points in the recovery process, it's important to have support available 24/7. 24-hour clinical care offers a safe environment in which to recover from drug or alcohol addiction in peace, knowing medical detox and other treatment will happen with professionals on hand.

Treatment
Alcoholism
The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.
Drug Addiction
Drug rehab in New Jersey is the process of addressing the complex issues involved with addiction. Challenges are identified and addressed through individual and group counseling. Participants learn how to manage these issues without the use of substances.
Opioid Addiction
Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.
Substance Abuse
Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.
Clinical Services
Group Therapy
Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.
Individual Therapy
In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.
Life Skills
Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.
