Hello, if you are smart and are reading reviews of places to do screenings/ classes hopefully before going here I URGE you to go someplace else. I was surprised they gave me an insane amount of hours for my first and ever DUI (which is usually reserved for level 3 DUI s which indicates a strong inclination of repeating offense; AKA for people with 2 or three or more DUI s) Being given this many hours to someone for their first DUI was unheard of, at least from what my public attorney told me, additionally after talking to my public attorney I learned this place is notorious for assigning too many hours/ classes, and overcharging. I can t imagine how much money I would have spent plus taking off work to go to these classes for like 4 months straight three times a week is crazy to assign. I m not sure why they do this whether it is greed or blatant disregard for people, but it is sad. I am sorry for everybody that has been scammed by this place.

All they want is your money. I had completed my alcohol screening and classes here. Unfortunately my screening was never reported to the DMV. I made several attempts to get a copy of my alcohol screening results, which they said they only keep hard copies in storage and would be a $140 charge to find the paperwork. Please take your hard earned money elsewhere.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Arizona is the process of treating individuals who are dependent on a particular addictive drug. Because addiction is complex, this treatment typically includes a variety of interventions that address the many physical and emotional issues involved.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.

Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

I was initially surprised of how kind the staff was. It shows that they really care about their patients and their problems. The fees are low and the whole process is totally painless. Such a great experience.

I m half way though my 26 classes of parenting Yeah you read that right.Clearly I didn t know anything then I spoke to my lawyer and therapist and it turns out parenting classes anywhere else are one and done. There s serval that are $100 and 6 hours in the evenings.Super helpful/useful material.Tyla is charging me $31 dollars a class. Due to Covid classes are online aka email they literally send you an email containing a power point that looks like it was made by a 12 year old. The email it s self looks like a junky or child made it. This place should be shut down immediately and anyone who has been scammed by TYLA should sue/report them to the state. This place is a joke, unprofessional, and disgusting for taking advantage of Covid to make a quick buck off of individuals trying to improve themselves.Needless to say I paid the $100 and got my certificate in hand at the end of the incredible, helpful and useful parenting class at AMI behavioral health.Strongly recommend the above for all your self improvement needs.

I felt extremely disrespected everytime I needed to talk with them. Simple things were like pulling teeth and I felt like they went out of there way to be rude. If you don't have patience it would be hard to say the least. I brought my concerns up with my probation officer and he said this is common with this agency and don't worry about it. Even the courts know how they treat people and take everything they say with a grain of salt (thank God). And they never figured anything out, I had to hold there hand through it all. Shame to see the same things being said from years ago.

Hi Jerry, I see that you transferred from another place because you were not satisfied.Hmm ?? I am so sorry that you never addressed this with the director. WE have TONS of clients that praise our staff on a daily basis for our efforts, respect and competency. You have 3 court cases, this would be confusing for any agency, in our notes it says you were also confused and were not able to provide all the information and we helped you find it. Take care !

Recommended a friend and heard very good things about TYLA! Very professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. Had nothing but nice things to say about the staff/facility. Would definitely recommend Turn Your Life Around counseling in the future to other friends and family!

I've had the pleasure of knowing the people that run this organization, and even working with them in various volunteer and work capacities. Not only do they offer a wide variety of counseling and other services, but the owners and the staff really go above and beyond to show how they truly care and value the individual people and truly want to help and make a difference. Their compassion, understanding and overall helpful approach really and truly makes the biggest difference in helping a person overcome their challenges and get back on their feet.It really gives me high hopes knowing this organization, and especially the people that run it and work there, are available to those struggling with dependency and addiction . This region is lucky to have Turn Your Life Around

Finally got my certificate of completion so I can say this without reserve...avoid this place like the plague. This has to be the most un organized, unprofessional, joke I have ever been a part of. Its like pulling teeth trying to get a response from someone within two weeks and even then the information is wrong or just a flat out lie. They will constantly raise the cost of the fees out of nowhere and then mismanage your records and give you an unending supply of misinformation. PLEASE do yourself a favor and find another DV program. You've been warned!

Response from the owner2 years ago
Sorry Adam, We are working with limited staff due to Covid. We have many clients with so many needs and situations . Looking back at phone records and emails all staff communicated promptly Glad you got taken care of

Very professional staff! Got taken care of everything I needed in a timely manner! During these stressful days of Covid it is important to remember that we are all dealing with loss and doing more work with less staff! Even though the interims kicked butt making my life easier!
