aftercare iconAftercare

Many rehab aftercare services include outpatient care, but clients often continue to receive support after being discharged from formal treatment. Case managers and care teams typically collaborate with clients to design their long-term care plan, which may include peer coaching, career counseling, and 12 step program induction, among other services.

12-step icon12-Step

12 step programs promote participants' sustained sobriety through rigorous and ongoing peer coaching and personal spiritual growth. Participants routinely attend 12 step meetings, which are available multiple times per day, 365 days per year in most communities. This ensures that those in recovery have prompt access to the structure and support they need when they need it. These programs use spiritual precepts to address the root causes of addiction and encourage compassion, self-awareness, forgiveness, accountability, and acceptance.

alcohol iconAlcoholism

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

drugs iconDrug Addiction

During rehab in Texas, you'll deal with underlying issues that contribute to addiction. By addressing these challenges and learning healthy ways to cope with them, you'll develop strategies that help you live a drug-free lifestyle.

check iconDual Diagnosis

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

mental-health iconMental Health and Substance Abuse

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

dialectical iconDialectical Behavior Therapy

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

couples-therapy iconCouples Therapy

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. This place is unorganized. They don't have any answers or know what's going on. My daughter had an appointment on 8/12 for a follow up. She never was seen. They rescheduled for 8/20 @8am. They waited over an hour and they said they need to look for a case worker who will see her..... if they schedule you to get seen, they should have someone available for that time slot. Mentality..."we're going to schedule you, but not have anyone to see you on that day and time." They have 0 consideration for people's time. The worst place to bring someone who needs help.

I was put here awhile ago and I never bothered to speak out for fear of being alone and nobody understanding my perspective until I finally came back and read the reviews. This place is the most terrible hospital for any child to be in, especially for LGBTQ+ folk. They will refuse to respect your boundaries, make excuses for their bad actions, and laugh about the patients there. Two nurses laughed at one of the patients for throwing up eggs in the morning.. nobody asked if he was okay. In this entire area, or at least the area I was in, only 2 staff workers were good to me and explained the situation. If you're transgender, staff are told to NOT call you by your preferred name/pronouns because it's 'confusing' and 'messes with the system'. I understand if it truly does confuse staff workers and mixes up their paper work, but I shouldn't have to deal with one of the nurses telling me that the way I think is wrong and I'm too young to know what I am. (When did opinions come into treating patients??)I could go on and on about my terrible experience here, like how the staff workers allowed other patients to bully me and made excuses for them while making it seem like I was the bad person or like how I broke down and they told me to calm down and not to escalate the situation instead of comforting me and putting me into a separate room to calm down, but it could never level to actually experiencing it.I WILL SAY that this is one of the WORST child care hospitals you can ever put your children in, and privacy is nonexistent here. If you're a mother or father with hopes of keeping close contact with your children while they're in here, don't have high hopes. They rush patients, CONSTANTLY. They made comments about my body as they looked over me, rushed me, pressured me, and made me feel insecure about things that are completely normal.I wasn't even here for that long, and can you believe so much happened in 1 week? Even as I checked out, multiple staff workers sat nearby me, pressuring me to leave a good note about them and give a good review to the place. I will never forget how good I felt to finish filling out that paper and finally be able to leave. GOOD RIDDANCE.

The worst experience we have ever had with any facility. Four caseworkers in a year and having to tell the entire story over and over again to catch them up. This is ridiculous. Not recommended

they will abuse you, your loved one or your child, then deny the abuse happened, and if that fails they will file sham cps reports and try to convince everyone that will listen that the victim is too mentally unstable to have accurate testimony. do not send your loved ones here, it is hell on earth. they illegally sedate children without the consent of the parents for minor infractions

This place really suck, sad that people with mental health need help, I really don't understand I know for sure they get paid either the patient insurance or whatever ever the patient has, again sad first you need to see the case worker, But than they give you appointment for the Dr. another day which mean a month later. I wish the Government would step in they always say they are concerned about mental health. Suck Sucks

Gross negligence and poor bureaucracy. They had me take SSRI, then refused to refill it until my appointment next week. I fear for what comes next for me. Anyone remotely familiar with antidepressants knows that you can t stop cold turkey.

I personally had a good experience here, treating my mental health and listening to my problems, as best they could. Had to leave because they can't fully treat my disability. It's still better that my current psychiatrist I'm at right now.
