The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Medically Assisted Detox

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Intensive Outpatient

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

Inpatient

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. This was the most awful experience that I've ever had in my life. Nobody attended to my needs and I ended up having to walk out of the emergency room at 2:00 in the morning in order to go home and take care of myself! I'll drive to the Cleveland Clinic and receive the care that I deserve from now on. The care providers at this facility really need to get their crap together

They got me right in.Drs.Need better training on how to treat patients with respiratory disease.They should have gave me steroids to help.me breath.They couldn't get my BP to go down.I signed my self out.The staff was very friendly. But I would have liked to have had a better pair of drs..They definitely didn't know what to do.

This hospital wing advertises itself use emergency entrance! and has verified reviews about how great the emergency room is. I just got here and in this entire hospital, there is no emergency room. False advertising needs to be fixed as this could make the difference between life and death for many of us. Why is there no ER???

My mother who is a failing elderly woman has visited trinity Steubenville Ohio multiple times recently. Found out a LPN who works at the facility has leaked personal information out several times to family we haven t spoken too in years. This is a HIPPA VIOLATION!!!!! Samantha Toole should be APPROACHED and punished about leaking information. If this is not taken seriously. Trinity will hear from our lawyer!!!!
