I had a very disappointing experience at this OB-GYN office. I went in with concerns about my pregnancy, but I left feeling dismissed and unheard. The CPRN I saw barely took the time to listen to what I was experiencing, making me feel like my issues weren t even worth discussing. It was as if my concerns didn t matter at all. What made it worse was the lack of clear communication. Instead of explaining what was going on with my health, I was left in the dark. I had to push for answers and still didn t get the level of care or education I needed to feel informed and reassured. It s extremely frustrating to feel like your health is being brushed aside, especially during such an important time. I wouldn t recommend this office to anyone who wants to feel heard, respected, and educated on their own health concerns.

After my appointment yesterday, I have to change my rating. I had to read the visit notes to get all the facts for my visit. It was an upsetting visit with some not so good news. Dr. Consoli even wrote that I seem to be upset by the news (Seriously? Should I have reacted happy to bad news? In serious need of sensitivity training and bedside manners training.). And how should I react to their conversation about where the sample tissue just taken from me went? And following with taking more tissue and still discussing if the nurse sees it. Worse treatment that I have ever receive from a gynecologist. Ridiculous! I expect to be treated like an intelligent, PERSON WITH FEELINGS especially during difficult appointments. Furthermore, GIVE ME ALL OF THE FACTS IMPACTING MY HEALTH.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program
A partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a short-term form of intensive rehab, usually for those with acute symptoms that are hard to manage but don't require 24-hour care. PHPs have structured programming (i.e. individual and/or group therapy), and usually meet 3-5 days a week for ~ 6 hours (i.e. 9am-3m). Some PHPs are residential (patients sleep on site) and some are not, so patients sleep at home. PHPs can last from 1-6 months, and some offer transportation and meals. Program hours are 8:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. Monday through Friday.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Pennsylvania is devoted to the treatment of addiction. Levels of care, treatment methods, and settings differ, but the aim of each program is to end drug dependency and empower participants to achieve long-term recovery.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

teen-program thumbnail image
Teen Program
Teen programs are designed to address the unique pressures teens face, pressures that can drive them to experiment with dangerous, addictive substances. They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Therapy can help teenagers understand and work through underlying issues so they can reclaim the life ahead of them.
adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
child-program thumbnail image
Child Program
The providers who specialize in the children's rehab space understand the specialized needs that this population faces. School-based and social services such as tutoring and family counseling are often central to treatment. Child programs may also address the needs of youth experiencing substance abuse in the home, including a parent's or sibling's addiction.
seniors-program thumbnail image
Seniors Program
Nearly one million adults age 65 and older live with a substance use disorder. Treatment providers who specialize in senior care understand the social, psychological, and physical effects of aging and how they relate to recovery. They can help clients address particular challenges and risks they may face as they get older such as overdosing and medication interactions and dependencies.
postpartum-program thumbnail image
Postpartum Program
The postpartum period is a sensitive time, especially for women in addiction recovery. Rehabs with specialized programs for new mothers will offer compassionate, personalized care to meet each client's needs as they transition from pregnancy to this season of life. Care teams may include obstetricians, pediatricians, and social workers working collaboratively to give women, children, and families a healthy future.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Animal therapy (aka pet therapy or animal-assisted therapy) can be very healing, as it allows patients to bond with animals, who give unconditional love. This is particularly useful for those who suffered trauma by the hands of people, who may be able to trust and form closer attachments to animals than humans at certain stages of rehabilitation.

Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) is a structured way of helping those with major mental illnesses and/or substance abuse by bringing services directly to the patient in home. Instead of hospitalization or an outpatient program, staff members like social workers, psychiatrists, and counselors come directly to the patient’s house for treatment. ACT is used primarily for those with severe and persistent mental illness like schizophrenia or bipolar disorder, some of whom also contend with substance abuse. ACT can be short- or long-term (months to years), and provides the same multidisciplinary, 24/7 staffing of a psychiatric unit, but in the comfort of the patient's own home and/or community.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Creativity is inherently healing, and can help those in recovery express thoughts or feelings they might not otherwise be able to. Creative arts therapy can include music, poetry/writing, painting, sculpting, dance, theater, sandplay, and more. Unlike traditional art, the final product matters far less than the experience of creation and expression itself.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

ECT is a form of treatment in which controlled electric currents are passed through the brain, sometimes causing short seizures. Treatments are done under general anesthesia. ECT appears to change brain chemistry for the better, and has been shown to provide fast and sometimes dramatic improvements in severe mental health conditions that can exist alongside addiction, including depression, bipolar disorder, psychosis, and suicidality. ECT is also often used by those who prefer it to taking medication.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

Recreational therapy (aka therapeutic recreation) uses creative and fun activities to help with addiction recovery. Recreational therapists lead patients in entertaining and engaging activities like sports or games; art (drawing, painting, sculpture); drama, music, and dance; and/or community outings (field trips) to improve patients' physical, social, and emotional well-being.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

First time visiting this place for my spouse physical examination. Easy to recognize the main entrance and very near to the parking lots.Plenty of parking. Not that busy day on Friday as there are not much visitors.Clear signs for navigating to the check-in. Easy check-in on iPad with just last 4 digits of phone number. They suggested to bring insurance and photo id but they never asked for any. Hope they got it from another the profile in other tower health group.Directed us to waiting room which were clearly mentioned such as A, B, C, D, E on each each room.Didn't take much time in waiting room. Practitioner came and took to the observation room. Waiting room is spacious with lots of chairs to sit.Checkout seems must. We just started walking out without doing that but the person sits there called us and asked for checkout as we did check-in.Checkout completed by just asking the name & doctor. They gave next visit date and also the summary of the visit.MyChart app is so good to access all information.Doors are wheelchair accessible. Wheelchair accessible Parking also available.Overall had a good experience with the first time visit.

I have not been into this office yet however, I have my first appointment scheduled for 2/26. This is my first pregnancy and have not had any prior experiences with an OB/GYN. I called the office in a panic the morning of 2/15 because I noticed light brown spotting. I was reassured that a doctor would call me back. When I did not receive a call, I called in again. I was told that someone will call me back once again. Guess what? I did not receive a call back! This is non-professional especially when it comes to someone s health and unborn baby. This is a major red flag for me. I will give them the benefit of the doubt and see how they treat me in the office.UPDATE: I have had a pretty positive experience over the past few months. I have only come across one midwife that I do not care for. The ultrasound technicians have been very friendly and fantastic to work with.

Dr Consoli screwed up my D&C procedure, she missed part of the fetus causing me massive pain and almost going into shock. After the first procedure I complained of pain but was ignored. Less than 24 hours later I had another emergency D&C. Very traumatic. I would never come here for pregnancy again.

Siobhan Ulrich is absolutely horrible, I left crying after telling her my struggles with PCOS and over a year long struggle going from doctor to doctor feeling like my concerns have not been met which caused her to tell me I was offending her!!! I m naked on the table during my exam, an extremely vulnerable situation, telling her all of my issues confidently as I was asked to for my yearly exam to be met with her being defensive and bringing her emotions into my health! It s unbelievable I m so hurt and offended that a health care provider would treat a patient this way. It takes courage and trust to be open the way I was to be met with an argumentative and defensive doctor is unacceptable. I ll never ever return and don t get how she s employed.

Completely useless. I've had an unidentified vaginal issue for a couple years now. Dr. Ulrich's (and really every doctor's) only answer was to throw me on a strong steroid cream and impassively tell me that my issue is autoimmune when I have never once been tested for such a thing. No referrals to specialists or anything. I will be switching providers after getting a second opinion at Jefferson.

Hear me out as a woman with PCOS the last thing you want to hear from a doctor are you must be on hormonal contraceptives if you want to get pregnant OR carbs are your worst enemy and you can only eat 1 piece of bread There have been countless times several doctors at this office look at me like I m insane for wanting to stay away from hormonal birth control and try to treat my PCOS for its root cause instead of covering it up with birth control. Not to mention- I gave the copper IUD a chance and one of the doctors inserted the iud incorrectly and I was back for an emergency as it got imbedded into my cervix. If you push for any kind of testing they question you and tell you it s norma . So ladies.. if you feel something is not right advocate for yourself and never let anyone tell you that you can t heal your PCOS because I ve been on a long journey and have done it without the advice of any of these doctors.
