About The Woodlands Behavioral Health and Wellness

They offer a thorough assessment to determine appropriate care for your situation. Then, they’ll work with you to create a personalized treatment plan to set and achieve your recovery goals.

Counseling can help you understand how your behaviors and any underlying conditions contribute to addiction. Their counseling sessions focus on helping you gain sobriety, develop coping skills, address co-occurring disorders, set boundaries, identify a support system, and more.

One standout feature I noticed is their multifaceted staff. They provide access to comprehensive care with licensed psychiatrists, counselors, psychologists, and family therapists. You’ll have access to an empathetic team that brings diverse perspectives to treatment to meet your needs.

Previous clients had mixed reviews. Some praised them for life changing care that strengthened their families. Others had issues with their diagnosis and felt a lack of support from staff.

Money. Money. Money. New to the area and I was SHOCKED when this facility tried to basically scam me out of a TON of money. You'll speak to some friendly "client care" person and they'll try to force you to pay some ridiculous amount for an unnecessary "assessment" before you can get treatment because "it's required." Except, it's not. It's just how they take a ton of money from you before providing any care whatsoever. RUN away.

We take pride in getting to know each client individually, and our clients know we do not require assessments or recommend services unless they are truly needed. Our approach is never about "money, money, money", it’s about providing thoughtful care rather than blanket diagnoses or unnecessary services.
Our comprehensive assessments are not short online tests or quick questionnaires designed to make a fast diagnosis or determine if medication should be prescribed. They are administered by highly trained psychologists or psychiatrists and include in-depth clinical interviews and standardized, one-on-one testing to accurately diagnose and evaluate all areas impacted by a diagnosis, including cognitive, academic, psychological, social, emotional, and behavioral functioning.
These thorough assessments allow us to create individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs, which may include therapy, parent counseling, family therapy, executive skills coaching, or other services as appropriate. Schools and colleges also require the level of detail provided by comprehensive assessments when reviewing requests for academic accommodations.
We understand our approach is not ideal for everyone and may take more time or expense on the front end, but it helps avoid the long-term challenges and costs that can result from quick labels, ineffective care, or misdiagnoses.

I loved talking to the front office staff, they're so friendly and helpful. And I love that they give you a complementary consultation to learn more about what you're going through and what you need before scheduling the next appointment.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

Treatments

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.
