outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

inpatient iconInpatient

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

aftercare iconAftercare

Rehab aftercare programs offer continuing care for clients in the maintenance phase of recovery and are designed to evolve over time. Outpatient treatment is generally categorized as drug rehab aftercare, but many clients continue to receive services after being discharged from formal care. These services are customized to clients' unique recovery goals, but typically include medical, mental health, and social services. Clients' case manager and recovery team play a key role in developing the client's care plan.

12-step icon12-Step

12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).

partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program

Designed for individuals who don't require 24/7 monitoring, a partial hospitalization program (PHP) provides intensive-level treatment while allowing you to stay at home. PHP treatment typically requires a commitment of at least 20 hours of treatment per week for an average duration of 90 days. Services commonly offered in PHP include medication management and evidence-based therapies, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). Insurance coverage for PHP treatment may vary depending on your provider.

24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care

At certain points in the recovery process, it's important to have support available 24/7. 24-hour clinical care offers a safe environment in which to recover from drug or alcohol addiction in peace, knowing medical detox and other treatment will happen with professionals on hand.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Heart icon Treatment

alcohol iconAlcoholism

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

drugs iconDrug Addiction

Drug rehab in Missouri usually involves several phases: detox, rehab, and aftercare. The rehab phase may include a combination of inpatient and outpatient treatments, as the individual moves through a continuum of care on their recovery journey.

check iconDual Diagnosis

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

substance-abuse iconSubstance Abuse

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Hand holding medical sign icon Clinical Services

intervention iconGroup Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

house-medical iconTrauma Therapy

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

life-skills iconLife Skills

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

One of the worst experiences I ve ever had as an Uber driver picking up an elderly poor man from here. He had been living here for months after having Covid in Springfield and being at the hospital for multiple weeks. The hospital payed for him a cab to come here after Covid. He had been living here for months and then was given less than 24 hours to leave with no money no family and no friends. They kicked him out even though he was not a drug addict or alcoholic but because he spoke his mind in a group chat earlier that day. With all this in mind the a lady by the name of Mallory had a younger gentleman that was living there pay for him an Uber (me) to be dropped off at a hotel they had supposedly paid for him. I took him to the hotel about 30 minutes away and stayed with him there for about an hour only to realize that the manager or lady in charge Mallory and this young man had lied to him about paying for him a room and were hoping I d just drop him and all his belongings there with no actual place to stay. Once I realized the situation and it was almost now 2 hours since I picked him up I called them and told them I was bringing him back since there was no room and I couldn t just leave him and all his belongings there on the curb. When I returned they took all his things out of my trunk and then told him they were going to call the cops on him because he was no longer allowed there. I felt horrible for him and even worse for these sick people that work there that were able to just do this and lie to this old man. I wouldn t wish this on my worst enemy on how he was treated this night. I can t say anything worse about this place or these people but this is supposed to be a place to help and heal and it is far from that. Run run run far away

Wouldn t allow me to take my psych meds and then kicked me out for having a mental illness and being high maintenance. My mental illness wouldn t have been noticeable if they just let me take my medication.I would never recommend this place to anyone for any reason whatsoever. They are completely unprofessional, very rude, and are obviously just doing it for the absurd amount of money they are making.

The worst recovery program their is to offer. The staff has no clue what is going on. Groups consist of absolutely nothing other than asking how you are doing? The first and the absolute worst of BED BUGS. I advise anybody who is looking for a program to avoid The Simmering center with all cost. Save your life and money and go else where.

This is a place for grown folk who can handle life on life terms. You stay clean get to work pay your bills and grow as person spiritually and mentally and physically. If you come to just have a roof over your head and not be here to grow up you will not succeed. It's setup as if you were living on your own at an apartment with rules and rent. Simple grown folk stuff. Go to meetings like in normal life and be in for bed. Not hard. If you need help there are people everywhere here that can help you. Wether they have been clean for a month or for a year. Yes there will be some there who are still in the beggining of recovery and need to develope into adults. Addicts aren't perfect. Only Jesus is. So learn the rules. If you don't know them then ask the front desk for a copy. I like it here. Praise Jesus. That's the God that made you. If you don't try at changing or make an attempt to you won't grow and you have to want it. It's your own fault if you don't succeed here. Because you didn't try hard enough they can send you in the right direction but you have to go in that direction instead of your own path.

This place is a great place if you want to work a program and get clean. It's unfortunate that when you have a family emergency and can't get back home due to a parent almost dying that they wont take your word for it. They needed a fax from hospital stating my dads condition. Told the nurse 2 different times to fax a paper and assumed they did. Get back and had to move my stuff out. I hadnt been working from my dads illness so I just got back 3 days ago because it took me another week in a half to make enough money to cover the 250 intake fee. Thank goodness I had family to stay with or I would have been screwed and homeless on the streets and would have most likely said F### it and got high. It's not a good policy in my opinion to boot people out for such reasons. Even for a failed UA. For a 1st offense they should put the patient in detox until they can pass and then restriction for a week or 2Then... If it happens again something more severe and on the 3rd fail then boot them. (3 strikes and you are out type of thing) I had been here 3 months and I had never been in trouble never been late never once failed a UA and STILL HAVENT, I did 100 meetings in 90 days, held 2 jobs, did my chore every day and attended all mandatory house meetings.... but still was treated like I did something wrong or like a number. Like they thought I relapsed, and I didnt. Now I can't seem to get caught up on bills and it's going to be hard for me to even pay my rent and buy Christmas presents for my kids and grandkids because we're going into the winter time in Branson and after this week we slow WAY DOWN at work.. Talk about a stressful situation. I do however like and respect most of the staff here. I love Kim and Paula (Paula isa staff member but also a resident who has over a year clean time) she's awesome, Trent is also a resident and staff member who is great... And there are a handful of longtime clean residents here who make us all see that IT IS POSSIBLE. WE DO RECOVER. Do your research before coming here check yourself and make sure you want what they have here and if so then I recommend Simmering Center.Merry Christmas! Thanks for reading my review!
