If there was a way to give a no stars I would but it is what it is. The reasons for my review being so low is: The program manager is NOT a people person in the sense that she needs to be. When you work in this field you need to be able to have a compassionate heart and be able to meet everyone on their level ESPECIALLY those of us who have a LOT of trauma which lets get real that is 99% of us. And when you have a program manager who is nice and sweet to 1 person and a complete cold hearted B**ch to the next and that next person is the exact person is THE person who needs the compassion THE most well.......AND on top of it seems like she will only work with the easy cases the fly under the radar don't rock the boat kind of cases.....and when it comes to my situation......I mean when anyone comes into treatment most situations are not super easy, however my personal situation this time around was ANYTHING but easy ANYTHING but fly under the radar.....and I honestly can sit here while typing this out and say with complete confidence that had she gotten wind of just how complicated my situation was and that it was gonna get even more complicated that she would of not accepted me at all. AND at this point I seriously wish she would of turned me away cause of the hell I went through during my stay there. I can get into that at a later time if someone so wishes to find out more as I have even more pressing issues to address. Yes I did relapse while there, when I went to pick my belongings up I knew my stuff had gotten packed up by staff. I automatically assumed all my personal belongings were there. I did not have the chance to go through each and every bag to make sure seeing that it was cold and it was night and I had a 2.5 hour trip to make so I know that it was on me assuming and you know what they say when you assume. HOWEVER the Gables IS A BUSINESS so why would I assume anything different? RIGHT? Well this so called professional business proved just that point!!!!! They decided to keep a few of my personal things or decided to let other clients keep a few of my things. Here is a list of what I am missing:1. A blue striped Bath Sheet and bath towel2. My BIG book that is PERSONALLY dedicated to my by a friend of mine from out in Las Vegas that has a pink cover on it with the Serenity Prayer on it with a spot for a coin and Also has 2 pictures of MY KIDS when they were 2 years old!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also with the big book is the 12 and 123. My NA book which also has my name in it4. Just For Today which also has my name in it as well. Now you might be asking why I am just getting around about asking for these things now verses right away. Well like I said I had relapsed for starters and It took me awhile to get through everything and well I honestly kept forgetting cause I am just trying to move forward with my life and I would LOVE to forget the fact that The Gables was even part of my journey. If anyone wants to discuss any of this or other things that I have not put on this review cause there is a LOT more but I've already wrote a book I don't know when I will get notification but I will respond ASAP

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Rehab aftercare programs provide robust, wraparound care for clients who have completed detox and/or intensive inpatient rehab. Their services may vary widely, but typically include peer coaching, relapse prevention support, 12 step program induction, career counseling, and related community reintegration services. The client's case manager and recovery team coordinates with the client to identify the rehab aftercare services they need to promote their sustained sobriety.
12-step icon12-Step
12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).
sober-living iconSober Living Homes
Sober Living Houses (SLHs), aka sober homes or halfway houses, are safe, substance-free, supportive living facilities for those recovering from substance abuse. Ideal for those who've just been through inpatient or outpatient treatment, SLHs are supervised environments with rules that support sobriety, such as curfews, shared chores, and therapeutic meetings. Residents are also often trained on life skills and coping skills to make it easier to transition into society. SLHs also provide a strong sense of community that can lead to the kind of deep and lasting connections with other sober individuals that supports a new, healthy lifestyle.
heart-hands iconIntervention Services
A drug intervention in Minnesota is a planned effort to persuade an individual to quit using drugs or to enter a treatment program. The intervention may be led by a specialist provided by rehab intervention services. This interventionist should have training in addiction treatment and experience in the mental health profession. Their expertise can prove invaluable in leading the intervention discussion and guiding the family in appropriate next steps.
24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care
When individuals first enter rehab, they may be malnourished due to substance use. They may also suffer from illness, organ damage, or other medical issues. 24-hour clinical care in Minnesota provides on-call staff who can monitor these conditions and provide appropriate treatment 24/7. This setting helps individuals who need substance use disorder treatment get the physical as well as psychological support they need.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug addiction is defined as an inability to stop using drugs even though it causes negative consequences in your life. Drug rehab in Minnesota provides treatment for drug addiction in a variety of settings including inpatient treatment and outpatient treatment.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
seniors-program thumbnail image
Seniors Program
Nearly one million adults age 65 and older live with a substance use disorder. Treatment providers who specialize in senior care understand the social, psychological, and physical effects of aging and how they relate to recovery. They can help clients address particular challenges and risks they may face as they get older such as overdosing and medication interactions and dependencies.
lgbtq-program thumbnail image
LGBTQ Program
Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.
postpartum-program thumbnail image
Postpartum Program
The postpartum period is a sensitive time, especially for women in addiction recovery. Rehabs with specialized programs for new mothers will offer compassionate, personalized care to meet each client's needs as they transition from pregnancy to this season of life. Care teams may include obstetricians, pediatricians, and social workers working collaboratively to give women, children, and families a healthy future.

Clinical Services

Therapists often use cognitive behavioral therapy in Minnesota to treat substance use disorders because it can help clients quickly identify challenges and ways to cope with them. Its structured, specific methods require fewer sessions than other types of therapy.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a clinical approach to helping people with substance abuse issues and other conditions shift behavior in positive ways. It is more goal-oriented than traditional psychotherapy, as MI counselors directly attempt to get clients to consider making behavioral change (rather than wait for them to come to conclusions themselves). Its primary purpose is to resolve ambivalence and help clients become able to make healthy choices freely.

Families in Minnesota use family therapy to understand the roles they play in addiction. Each member plays a role and contributes to a pattern of behavior. Families learn to interact in healthier ways that support each other and contribute to their loved one's journey to recovery.

I spent almost 6 months at the gables from oct.2018 to April 2019. That place saved My life and changed My life. I'm still in contact with some of the old staff and made a lot of connections with some amazing woman. No cell phone was one of the best ideas. MY mental health has remained stable and I have little over 5 yrs of sobriety. Thank you for changing and saving My life,!!!!!!

The Gables was by far the best treatment I have been to, which is saying a lot as I have been to inpatient 15 times. The staff thoroughly care. They are so compassionate, professional and kind. The food was amazing. I felt safe and was able to process a lot of issues plaguing me for years. They treat the clients with respect and go above. I love this place!

This place is everything I ever needed and Andrea was a director there and also my counselor a short time tough as nails but knew her stuff and she genuinely cared and knew about addiction.Haley is amazing counselor and taught me alot and had faith in me. I will forever be grateful to the Gables. The women I met there to this day we still support each other. If it's not tough you're not doing the work. The home is beautiful and the chef was amazing and staff. They are tough because they need to be so we don't manipulate them. They gave me my life back and self worth. Forever grateful and God bless the Gables!!

I was here for fifteen days. The counselor I was signed to meet with me irregularly, wasn't there when I needed her and would rarely go over assignments that I had. The house got wrapped up in a lot of drama and staff didn't know how to deal with it. Techs also didn't seem like they really cared about clients and again my counselor didn't seem like she cared about me. Food was adequate. I liked the craft and DBT groups the best. One thing to be noted is how when there was a bat that came through the house, the tech on duty didn't do her job to get the bat out and it was up to clients to do so. It also seemed like the techs weren't properly trained in disk diagnosis which I think mental health and substance use go hand and hand.
