I d give zero stars if I could everything started out great I liked my skills therapist and my psychiatrist until they requested bloodwork from a lab and never sent The order and are now refusing to send the order , they told me they couldn t refill my medication until the bloodwork was done. I was also given the wrong medication after specifying the type of medicine that I ve been on for THREE years & i specifically said that my medicine works great for me and that I don t want to change it at all , leading me Into a three week long depressive episode Due to their incompetence. all of the receptionist are rude, and no one has respect for anyone s time. DO NOT COME HERE. You d be better off doing outpatient at a mental hospital than setting foot in this place.

I am getting very frustrated with this location. J. Con . was my niece s counselor. She got her, understood her, had good vibes, etc. She has since officially left 2nd time around. They can t get new counselors trained fast enough. And when they say new one will be starting soon after training they leave. We had a new counselor set up and were just waiting until her training was up, I believe Lisa was her first name, but after training she left (I got a letter in the mail 2 days after I called for an update). Or when u call the appt line (I talked to a young gentleman) they don t know what s going on and lie to u abt that the counselor assigned (aka Lisa) is making her own appts and call the office where she works to sched. Now they are over scheduled when we ve been a patient for 4 years and have no counselors available. We have gotten discharged as a patient last year 2023 due to their neglect of canceling/rescheduling our appts whenever they want and then BLAME ME that we weren t getting seen enough. I have records of dates and times they canceled on us. My kid is in HS and can t be at THEIR BECK AND CALL when they have something available. I have to sched around my work when I do work since it s random times. And they have a 5 min late policy .like really how can we control traffic/construction and yet we leave in time to drive to the orig appt sched time. It s ridiculous! No empathy or consideration. There are barely any good places around here to go who accept Medicaid insurance and my kid came from a bad place 6 years ago and is on depression meds, but needs a good therapist that she can vibe with. This place doesn t seem to care abt good patient care or to hire enough counselor employees! They are leaving their patients at risk. Not good ***thumb down***!!

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
inpatient iconInpatient
Inpatient rehab programs are geared toward clients in early recovery. They also provide intensive support for clients in crisis and those at an increased relapse risk. Clients receive housing and meals while in inpatient care, allowing them to focus solely on their recovery. Most programs prioritize addiction counseling but may draw on various psychotherapeutic modalities, including CBT, DBT, RBT, trauma therapy, and motivational interviewing. Life skills training and holistic therapies are also common in inpatient care.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive outpatient programs offer high-level care for clients as an increased risk of relapse, including those in early recovery, those with a strong history of relapse, and those experiencing a crisis. Intensive outpatient treatment typically requires clients to engage in nine to 20 hours of care weekly, with treatment modalities that combine psychotherapy and recovery education, and holistic therapies, such as acupuncture and animal therapy. Medication assisted treatment (MAT) is also common in alcohol and/or opioid recovery.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Rehab aftercare programs are based on a model of continuing care and the premise that recovery is a life-long process requiring ongoing client support. Many rehab aftercare services include outpatient care, but clients often continue to receive support after being discharged from formal treatment. Case managers and care teams typically collaborate with clients to design their long-term care plan, which may include peer coaching, career counseling, and 12 step program induction, among other services.
partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program
Commonly known as "day treatment," a partial hospitalization program (PHP) offers intensive addiction treatment while allowing you to return home each day. It can serve as an alternative to inpatient hospitalization or as a step-down option. Depending on your needs, PHP treatment typically averages 90 days with a weekly requirement of 6-8 hours a day. PHP treatment offers a variety of therapeutic interventions such as individual counseling, group therapy, and psychoeducation. Oftentimes PHP treatment can be fully covered by insurance.
24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care
24-hour clinical care in Texas provides a safe environment for medical detox. This setting is crucial to provide medical care during withdrawal. Certain withdrawal symptoms can cause life-threatening conditions, but patients in a supervised clinical setting have treatment readily available to address any symptoms before they become severe. Treatment can also be provided for co-occurring physical and mental health issues.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Ridding the body of harmful, addictive substances, also known as detoxification, is usually the first phase of recovery. Those going through medically assisted detox can be administered medications by a team of medical professionals who are on-site 24/7 to provide different types of therapies that help mitigate withdrawal symptoms.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

During rehab in Texas, you'll deal with underlying issues that contribute to addiction. By addressing these challenges and learning healthy ways to cope with them, you'll develop strategies that help you live a drug-free lifestyle.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

teen-program thumbnail image
Teen Program
Teen programs are designed to address the unique pressures teens face, pressures that can drive them to experiment with dangerous, addictive substances. They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Therapy can help teenagers understand and work through underlying issues so they can reclaim the life ahead of them.
adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
child-program thumbnail image
Child Program
The providers who specialize in the children's rehab space understand the specialized needs that this population faces. School-based and social services such as tutoring and family counseling are often central to treatment. Child programs may also address the needs of youth experiencing substance abuse in the home, including a parent's or sibling's addiction.
seniors-program thumbnail image
Seniors Program
Nearly one million adults age 65 and older live with a substance use disorder. Treatment providers who specialize in senior care understand the social, psychological, and physical effects of aging and how they relate to recovery. They can help clients address particular challenges and risks they may face as they get older such as overdosing and medication interactions and dependencies.
hearing-impaired-program thumbnail image
Hearing Impaired Program
A sensory disability, such as hearing impairment, can compound the challenges of addiction recovery. Drug rehabs that are specially designed to accommodate the needs of persons with hearing impairments will include special accessibility features and accommodations to make treatment as comfortable and effective as possible. This may include access to American Sign Language interpreters.
hiv-aids-program thumbnail image
HIV/AIDS Program
HIV/AIDS programs support disease prevention and management in high-risk individuals in recovery. Individuals who engage in intravenous drug use and other addictive behaviors are at a higher risk of becoming infected with HIV. Rehab centers that specialize in treating this population typically have a high number of nurses, physicians, and psychiatrists on staff who can make sure both their medical and mental health needs are met.
military-program thumbnail image
Military Program
Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

Addiction recovery treatment in Texas will offer recreational therapy in a holistic approach to treatment. Therapy incorporates enjoyable activities that support your physical and mental health, such as team sports, creative arts, or individual sports. This activity gives you an emotional outlet, reduces your stress, and improves your mood, each of which promotes long term sobriety.

I would give 0 stars if i could. I went here about a year ago with both of My guardians. First of all, they would schedule us either after school or during school and they never attended us.The staff including recepcionist and therapist are really unprofessional, they would make fun of your situations, they make You feel stupid, and are just not empathetic. I ended up relapsing in old habits thanks to this place which didnt get us the help WE (as a family) needed instead just made you feel stupid yet Made My parents and me waste our times. Really unethical place, undeserving of having Even one client and unprofessional yet disrespectful place. I recomend not to bring your child or person suffering from anything to this place. This place does not care all they work for is the money.

THE WORSE PLACE EVER.!!!! This is the worst place for everything, although one or two very good people, but the place changes your appointment every time, and if they give you one and you call it is changed for another day and time, and if you arrive 5 minutes late they will not attend to you . They don't consider anything. The worst of the worst.

Do not bring your child with you on your 1st visit. This clinic is open to the ENTIRE city and so they operate through multiple screenings and intake visits.A parent 1st has to qualify their child via a call center where they ask you why you think your child should be seen. Then, the parent ONLY will need to come in to set up the child's residency, financials (they use sliding scale and medicaid), ID, etc. No need to take your kid out of school for this. Be here at 7:45 to get into one of the few daily slots they have (1st come, 1st served and the queue resets everyday). Then, you'll bring your child for an Intake Evaluation where a counselor sees what professionals are best suitable, their professional opinion, and typing out a general recovery plan. They'll interview them with you in the room. Then, the recovery plan becomes more detailed as you visit with other professionals, counselors, & doctors.Admittedly, its complicated but its a system set up to help as many ppl as possible for the lowest cost possible.Hope this helps.

I highly recommend to choose a different health care provider. This provider's method to accept new patients is very odd and highly inconvenient. My experience: I contacted them to set up a new patient. I answered all the questions I could over the phone and I was told to come into the clinic anytime M-F from 0800 - 1500. I said, the absolute earliest I can make is 10 am. They said that is fine. I arrived Monday morning at 10 am, after keeping my son out of school, we arrived at the clinic and was told "We are full for today, try again tomorrow". I spoke with the receptionist explaining the earliest I could arrive is 10 am. I was told "we have an appointment available tomorrow at 9am" I repeated "The absolute earliest I can be here is 10 am". The receptionist then said "Well we open at 8 am". Very unhelpful. So I left.I called there main number, and explained to the person who answered what happened. I asked "So how can we do this, if I am going to get turned away at 10 am everyday?, I cant very well be taking my kid out of school every single day trying to roll the dice to see if we can get in on that day". I was informed they have a virtual processing, and that I could try that.So the next day, I contacted them at 9 am, said I am ready for the virtual processing. They sent me a link via email for the Zoom or whatever app they use for virtual. I was in this virtual waiting room until 2pm. That is 9 am to 2 pm, just waiting. I called them up, to ask what is going on. They said, "sorry sir, you can try again tomorrow if you wish"Hard pass, 2 days in a row they completely wasted my time. There would not be a 3rd. I went with a different provider, and I suggest you do as well.

Just called to get a first-time appointment. Their process for signing up with them is strange and highly inconvenient. They want you to call first thing on any morning and wait on hold until someone has time to talk with you, at which point, you will do a 2-3 hour zoom meeting...just to sign up for your first appointment. If someone else calls before you, I guess you wait on hold...for hours? And if they're busy, you get to try again another day. It's 3 hours plus wait time just to get on the books? Apparently there's no way to fill out paperwork online or anything, this is just how they run things. Hard pass. I think I'll find someone who can figure out how to schedule patients better than this.
