Before I came to E.A. I was at the lowest point of my life. I was addicted to multiple drugs, I had been to prison, I had lost my daughter, my marriage was failing, my family wanted nothing to do with me and I was selling drugs out of a hotel room. I was at rock bottom.Honestly, I was okay with the idea that the next overdose would be the one that ended me.I have been to treatment more times than I like to admit the past sixteen years. Each time after leaving I felt more and more hopeless. I was convinced I would live in addiction forever. But in the midst of it all, someone reached out to me about E.A. and I decided to give it a try. I am so glad I did. My life has been forever changed by Jim and Karla. The staff truly cares about each and every person that walks through the doors of Eternal Awakenings. They not only help you learn how to live life without drugs, but also help you grow spiritually and lean on God through the good times and bad.I know that without the treatment I received at Eternal Awakenings, I would more than likely be dead. I now have a relationship with my daughter and my family and my marriage has never been better. I am living proof that no matter how bad your life has become, with God and the right people to guide you, you can have the life you have always dreamed of.I thank God daily for allowing me to find E.A.If you are reading this, your life is about to change. All you have to do is take the first step.Nicole GMake A Choice.Take A Step.Choose Life.

Long story short, 35 years of hard drinking landed me in a ditch in a city I'm not even from. But I thank GOD every day for it! My desperation for change got me to Briarwood detox center. I was so scared but I was unusually willing to do anything, the night before waking up in that ditch I was contemplating suicide, again. For so many years I watched my life fall apart time and time again, over and over. I really never understood why I was unable to control my drinking. Leaving Briarwood and while being transported to Nova recovery center I didn't know what to expect but my anger and anxiety were already building. I still can't get over how amazing Nova looks, it pretty much relaxes you the minute you arrive! I had never been to "rehab" before so I was blown away by the beauty of the amenities and the attentive staff. So with that said, I was sweet and grateful to be there for about 48 hours and then I started being the walking talking character defect stage character I was, telling everyone how they should do their jobs and finding things, if not inventing things to complain about. I still get embarrassed sometimes of my actions and comments I made the first weeks of my stay. But what stands out is how the staff didn't even blink! I never got the reaction I would of deserved! I was loved on! I was given understanding and compassion! They treated me like the sick person who needed help, that I was! They dug in and held me accountable with truth and what I referrer to as grace. The Recovery specialist who work with us, for us and teach us vital solutions to my disease of alcoholism that I will be forever grateful for. From the frequent individual counseling sessions to the daily group counseling classes to the, "hey I need to talk!", I received an understanding of how to maintain my life of sobriety! Nova is a very important and special place to me so I could really go on and on but the main point I want to testify about is this, I'm truly a better person today because of the dedication to helping people by the Nova recovery family!Sincerely,Dustin

I'm going on 80 days sober because this place helped me. I loved the Trauma inpatient program. PHP was okay, I felt like it was lacking counseling and also I felt like it was non stop getting in and out of busses. You'll get your phone on lunch and like 90min on Saturday which is nice. But on Sunday when you should be calling friends and family you don't get your phone. The house on 1st street stayed nasty. I brought it up to the techs several times and nothing changed. I would give this place 5 stars but the aftercare completely sucked. I had no idea how sober houses worked or how to get into one. I had to stress out my final day because I had nowhere to go. Also I had no idea how to get a scholarship or even fill my meds... im in their IOP program currently and I'm enjoying it. Aftercare definitely needs to be worked on. I've also talked to many people after they got through with PHP and they had the same opinion. Thanksz that's my Ted Talk.

My first visit to GRMC was for a planned procedure. From the front desk person that greeted us to the one that rolled me out after the procedure, everyone was friendly! I was very pleased with how well things were explained to me before they were done when it came to getting IVs and other steps in the procedure. I felt comfortable and in good hands. The staff was quick and efficient while also checking that I understood what was happening and that I was OK. I have no plans to be back in any hospital anytime soon but if I do need one...I'll pick GRMC first.

Bunk beds and classes from the time you get up until the time you go to bed, this place was complete bull! As an atheist I struggled with the hard core 12-step program. I ve been to luxury rehabs, this place is like adult summer camp.Yet here I am nearly 6 months later alive, happy, safe. I had been stuck in the cycle of addiction for longer than I can remember. If it was not for the Renewal Lodge, the staff, the other clients - I would be dead or in jail. I m not sure anyone hated it there as much as I did but it absolutely saved my life.It doesn t matter how many times you ve tried to get sober, it matters that you keep trying. This place simply put, saved my life. I, like many others, have been to multiple treatments. But it ended with ru. The reason it's so different from other rehabs, is one, yes, the use of the arts, particularly music in programing, but also their ALUMNI PROGRAM. it rly makes all of the difference. They focus on community while you're in there, but they also call you and check in on you after. So that when you leave, you're not just dropped off all alone. There's a meeting once every Wednesday for you to go to, and every month there's a party/show. Which acts as a huge open mic/"class reunion." Both of those are open to anyone who's ever received services here. I think another thing that rly makes a difference, is that they prepare you for the possibility of relapse. You will leave here with a safety plan. I read somewhere that their relapse rate was lower than other facilities in the area. And i belive it. Its the aftercare. I called once YEARS ago...but chickened out...and Britney from the alumni staff stayed in touch with me for literal years until I finally realized that there was no choice left but come in and get help...im still in touch with most of the clients i went through ru with, and all these years later, Britney and the alumni staff. These people specialize in slaying dragons right along with you...not all heroes wear capes. And I know they're some of mine. If you're seeking sobriety...please, come join the family.<3

My councilor, Jeff, saved my life. The others are great as well. They all take turns and teach classes for you through out the day. It's 6 hours a day of education, great food, beds are very comfortable and the property doesn't make you feel confined.Jeff, you're the best You can keep your cell and laptop, just not turned on in classes. You are set up with aftercare so you have a sustainable plan moving forward along with the tools to succeed where most don't.With over 40% of our nation addicted to some sort of substance and 60% of our country prescribed an Anxiety or Depression R/X, you don't need to feel bad about getting help.Scientists have proven addiction to alcohol is a destructive disease & there is treatment that can set you up for your new life.If it was Diabetes, or Cancer, you would get help immediately. Addiction is no different and doesn't care how old you are, the color of your skin, nor does it matter if you are a Doctor or Lawyer.I am surrounded by people of all sorts and you won't want to leave after 4 weeks, the path forward is clear by then but this will be something you have to work on for the rest of your life.Best Wishes to the Staff here & for the reader, it's a small investment for your future that you can do for yourself & your family..
