La Hacienda saved my life. I was really struggling with substances and mental health - it was my first (and only) treatment and I needed to find the right place for me. I was scared and didn t know anything about treatment and I needed to find a trustworthy review to read and encourage me to take the leap of faith - so here it is my friends.LaHa staff is amazing, the people there are all marching towards the same goal - sobriety and a better life. From amazing medical staff, to hands on daily doctors, to mental health and building the framework of sobriety with both AA & NA meetings offered daily, to 1:1 therapy and group therapy - LaHa is the place to recover. Also, the family program was amazing and helped my family understand addiction, mental health, and how to navigate this together.Beautiful Serenity Hill to contemplate at, a nice pool, great gym, tons of activities - a great blend of recovery, and room to relax a bit - if you re like me you need to catch up on a bit of rest. The extended care team helped me find an IOP and Sober Living in Colorado - now 80 days clean and spending Thanksgiving with my family. Thank you to Brittany, Clayton, Dan, Newell, Clay, all of the doctors - the entire LaHa staff.- Parker B

158 days ago I was wanting to give up on life. My family left me, my kids stopped talking to me 6 months prior, I was being evicted from my home of 19 years by my parents, I was hours away from being homeless, I had no job, no money, no vehicle I hit my rock bottom, I was ready to end my life.My choice was either kill myself which seemed like the best option, be homeless on the streets or go to treatment. I surrendered and admitted to myself, my family and everyone around me that I was an addict. Something I thought I was hiding from everyone but they all knew my reality, I just was in denial. I was a full blown addict. I went to New Choices Treatment Centers and got sober. Today I live at a sober home with some wonderful ladies that are my support through my journey. I was very hard headed when it came to moving in, but I had to come to the realization that my way was not working. I had to give it to God, and let him show me where he wants me. Yes, I said give it to God words I would have never said in the past because I didn t think I needed a relationship with him. I had to find my higher power if I was going to get through this because I can not do this alone. No one can. Today I still don t have my family back. What I do have is god, my sober community, my church and the ones that never left my side when things got real . Those are the ones I lean into when life happens. Maybe one day my family will come back and if they don t I have to be ok with that. What I do know is that as long as I stay sober good things keep happening. I have a job something I have not had in many years, as I was a stay at home mom for 19 years. I work with the most amazing supporting group of co workers. I use to hate Halloween after my divorce and during my addiction. It was too traumatic, and I would get depressed every Halloween. It sucks bc the kids loved it but over the years, I would isolate more and more with each passing Halloween. Today I was anxious starting today knowing it s Halloween. I got to work, and I smiled a little as my co workers were enjoying the day something I had not done on Halloween in a long time. At the end of the day, I was shown a video that they made of our team as we did a Friends show themed Halloween at work. All I could do was start crying!! I am among a great loving group of friends. Not just at work but at the Legacy House which I call home, among the alumni of New choices, and club 12. These are Friends I am so blessed to have them.#WeDoRecover#addictionrecovery

This center saved my life. I was admitted to the Fullbrook Center 11 months ago. I was deep in alcohol addiction and had made many feeble attempts at maintaining sobriety (on and off) for the two years prior. After a month of white-knuckling, leading to a relapse, I decided I needed real help. I truly was a lost soul, hopeless, and at the end of my rope at just 24 years old. At the center, I was able to not only overcome my addiction but also release years and years of suppressed trauma. Once I got to the center, within hours I felt safe and knew in my heart this was exactly where I needed to be. The staff is incredible, surrounded by strong, powerful, sober, and intelligent women, it is the perfect space to create success and really, healing. Fullbrook has every dynamic down to a T. They know how to heal and how to treat every client. When I decided to make the leap and give up my life for a month + I did not take this decision lightly but through resources and high regard we found this place, quite literally a godsend.I finally learned how to let go of my addiction and was finally able to start my journey of healing rather than using alcohol and dangerous "coping" skills to feel human. It is the most profound and life-altering experience I have had to this day. I want to thank Fullbrook for everything they have done for me. I genuinely believe they saved my life. They gave me a clean slate to begin to heal... They gave me fellowship and sober laughter!!!! They gave me compassion and strength... They gave me things that at the time I was not capable of giving myself. If you or a loved one needs help, look no further. I can assure you that this is the best place with the best people and the best care. Almost one year ago I was hopeless, and now I am hopeful and looking forward to one year of healing, sobriety, freedom, and health. Thank you for everything Fullbrook.
