Having previous experiences with s.Texas Behavioral and Tropical, I would like to share that this hospital staff was so much more professional, empathetic and overall provided a much better experience. My son came home from his stay feeling validated with a new perspective. He mentioned a therapist R. Nelson, in the adolescente ward really connected with him. She made him feel understood and got through to him. He came home determined to challenge his own thoughts and is doing so much better. To that one therapist, Ms. Nelson, thank you for being there for my son.

I wasn't a patient; but I had to send a loved one in here for immediate treatment. The STHS hospital was not very understanding or gentle with her, but once she got transferred here, I KNEW she was in good hands. I called plenty of times to ask questions and get a hold of the patient, and they were never rude or annoyed with me. If it weren't for behavioral, this patient wouldn't be okay right now. Now, they are on the medicine they need and thriving. The therapy received in there along with the activities really helped the patient. They only allowed 3 changes of clothes, the patient asked frequently for it to be washed and I heard they were so kind and never bothered. I mean this with all my heart, you saved her life. And I could never thank the staff enough. I had a break down, because no one wants to send a loved one in. Now they are doing amazing, and it was the best decision I have ever made. Thank you. No words will ever be enough to say how grateful I am. Please keep doing what you're doing and take time to fill your own cup too.
