I was admitted here after an attempt on 11/5/2024. I was here for 6 days and at first, it was very scary. It felt like a hopeless place where there are crazy people and therapists who don't understand your problems. After a few days of being here, I was able to open up and connect with the other patients and it gave me a lot of perspective on my life and my diagnosis of depression and BPD. I was able to listen and help other people who were in fact, going through the exact grieving and coping processes that I was. I talked with nurses and the MHTs when I felt alone and they were very helpful and considerate for everyone's needs. Katrina in particular helped me out a lot when I needed someone to talk to. Overall, I would say that this is a life changing experience that I am very thankful for. At a time where everything seemed lost, I was able to find myself here.

I am sorry it has taken me this long to write a review. I wanted to make sure that I had the time to really write in detail how well my son did with the program at Center for Discovery and how much he connected not only with the other kids there but with the staff. It has made a huge impact on him and us. Sometimes, I felt like we were spoiled. :)This has been a long journey and especially for my son since we didn't know till much later. When the decision was made that he needed to go to a residential, I was terrified and nervous. They worked super hard with our insurance to get him in and because CFD is 3.5 hours away from us, I was very reluctant, but we knew we had to do what we had to do for the health and healing journey for our child.It was a struggle trying to find a place that accepted adolescent males. I thank God every day that CFD accepted boys. We were so scared that were not going to be able to find anything for him in the state.Thankfully, we were able with the help of CFD speaking with the insurance back and forth, he was in. At this point he and the family just wanted to get started with this program. We were all so exhausted and I was emotionally drained. When we came for his admission, the whole staff greeted us with kind hearts and smiles. Just the knowing how scared and anxious families are they knew exactly how to read the room.Everyone was so very help for the first few weeks when I would ask a bazillion questions. I was scared about the medications, scared about everything. The whole fear of the unknown. And let me tell you, Marisol, Mallory and so many more were so patient and kind with me and my fears. It is like they know what they are doing or something lol!! But seriously. I don't know what I would have done without them talking me off the ledge sometimes because of my son being far and not being able to see him but once a week, that was tough for me. And everyone has their own battles, that one was mine.My son made some friends along the way and still is in contact with them once in a while and feel that is needed during this time of healing and recovery with teens. They need a good support system. The kids there were so supportive of him like they were family and felt great knowing he had that there and I was able to sleep just a little better at night knowing that.Once he finally broke out of his shell and began to really dive deep into what he needed to do to start this process, he did amazing. CFD was there for him and us every step of the way.He came out like a champ, and I am so proud of him and everyone at CFD for doing the hard work you do. It must be so rewarding and hard at the same time, with your heart strings being pulled every which way. Symetria Recovery saved my life!! I was driving down the highway suffering major withdraw from opioid addiction. I found Symetria Recovery and they had me in the very next day. When I got tested, I was positive for Fentanyl, which had to of come from something off the street. I nearly had a panic attack thinking about my life ending, leaving behind my wife and 3 beautiful children. I've been here for about 18 months clean and sober and have never been happier. So, let me just start off by saying thank you to all involved with Aspire!I was reluctant to say the least because I've been through IOP before. That shadow wasn't casted over me after the first session I sat in my seat.I grew and grew with the help of Aspire and my journey was exactly what I was looking for.I garnered the tools to get a ton of steam off and establish my support system in Aspire and OUTSIDE of Aspire, which they encouraged me to do.The entire team was apart of my experience and went above and beyond to help me get on to the next chapter of my life.I'm eternally grateful to the entire team and program of Aspire and would definitely suggest this be the group to consider for your start and introduction to getting the tools you need to stay sober in early sobriety.I'll be a proud member of their Alumni program, and maybe one day, I'll see who reads this review at the Alumni group as well!

What can you say to someone who has given you back your son? Thanks is not enough not even close! If you are reading these reviews, and you have a loved one dealing with addiction issues, you know it feels like this crazy, terrible, fear-fueled circus ride you are on, and even when you are begging for it to stop, it just keeps going! All the while, you love the person, but you feel helpless to help them.We felt we had lost our son to drugs about 8 years ago, so when we sat down in 2023 to talk to the team at Lighthouse, we were tired, devastated and fearful of our son s future. We did not know what to do, but the destruction of addiction had taken a terrible toll on our family. I had heard about Lighthouse from my son s doctor about 3 years earlier, and I had even called and talked to a friendly, young man at Lighthouse named Grant. He was amazing and helpful. But, my son was not ready to go. Grant gave me options and said to call him if I needed any other help.Fast forward 3 years. We tried to talk to him. We cried. We pleaded to stop the drugs. Finally, we told him he would have to move from our home. We offered rehab and said we were 110% behind recovery but would no longer be able to help him while he chose drugs. I felt my heart breaking! It was interesting to see how over the last eight years, he had lost jobs, friends and so much money over this drug. Now, no one was bailing him out and no friends were opening up their doors for him to come stay with them.History: Our son had graduated at the top of his class. He had taken Calculus and was in National Honor Society. He had been an active youth leader in our church! How could he have chosen to start smoking weed? And what started as a fun past time with friends, quickly spiraled downward into an all encompassing addiction that would take every dime, and every thought from him . It demanded everything from him.In April of 2023, our son hit a bottom, and my dear Uncle was able to talk to him, and he called us and said he would go to rehab. While at rehab, we gingerly started talking about sober living. At first it was a resounding no , but we told him we had looked at the top sober living homes in Dallas, and Lighthouse came out on top for us. We told him that everyone was kind and helpful.Lighthouse is amazing. A young man named Augie told us his story and the part about living in his truck was similar to our son s story. We also met Frankie who helped give us a tour of one of the homes. He answered questions. Grant was right there too! They offered hope! But the best is that our son then talked to Grant while in rehab, and he started considering it. He entered Lighthouse July 1, and he was there 10 months. He did the full program at Lighthouse! It was such a great program!Tears fill my eyes on this next part, he called me today on FaceTime to show me his Christmas tree, and the X-box he had purchased from a pawn shop! He has pawned so many gaming systems for drugs in the past, and now he had purchased one from a pawn store! By the way, while at Lighthouse, he saved and bought a car on his own (men at Lighthouse mentored him on finances). He got a good job while at Lighthouse! He is now living in a nice apartment, has a dog and a girlfriend. He has been at his job 14 months. And he was calling to invite his mom and dad to dinner! Like I said, Thank you is just not enough!The staff is incredible! Bryce and Frankie are so good with our son. They still mentor him. Steve mentored him and taught him how to handle his finances. Dr Keels is wise and insightful in the middle of it all, and we needed that! Mike Jones has assembled an all-star team that gives young men their lives back.We had to get creative with our finances to do this step. I want to be honest about that, but there are so many ways to get creative, and we just felt we had to give our son this shot .. worth every penny!I cannot recommend Lighthouse enough!! I know the pain of losing my son for years, and now getting him back! PRICELESS!! And I pray that for you too!

Honesty I've never done sober living coming out of rehab, but this was a great place. Thank yall for giving me this opportunity to live here, really enjoyed it.
