Dropping my daughter off on a ranch, across the country, in the middle of Texas was the hardest thing I've ever had to do. Had it not been for the encouraging words of other parents who had been in my shoes, I don't know if I would have done it. In an effort to learn as much as I could about Fulshear, I read these reviews, and, of course, the negative reviews terrified me. A year later, my daughter has graduated. Fulshear saved her life and I can say with one hundred percent honesty, that NONE of these awful things people have written are true. I have never met such loving and kind people--people who loved my daughter when she was at her worst and they certainly didn't have to. And they are what saved her. It wasn't enough for my husband and me to love her. She needed to know she could be loved by people who didn't have to. The staff and therapists are kind and caring but of course they challenge the girls---otherwise how would they grow? The other clients can be difficult---if they weren't, they wouldn't be at Fulshear. But these things taught my daughter to be strong, to learn to set boundaries, to have healthy relationships. My daughter was 19 when she entered Fulshear, but probably had the emotional maturity of a 16 year old. She left at 20 with the emotional maturity of a 30 year old. Fulshear saved her life and gave me my daughter back. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone whose child needs their services.

The general manager Court has always been there to listen to, address and advocate for me. Audrey the floor manager runs a very loving group of staff techs. Two weeks ago I had to take my kid to the ER after an accident. Any time your child is sick or hurt it is a scary experience but thanks to Dr. Woo we were thoroughly and compassionately taken care of! He was so thoughtful and AMAZING. I really appreciated how he took his time talking with us and he even did a physical exam (unlike other doctors). We were in and out quickly and Dr. Woo made sure I knew what to look out for in case I needed to return. I can t thank him enough for the care and peace of mind he gave us. I took my child there for about 3yrs. It was a huge help! They provided my child with tools to help her deal and process different situations in life. At first it was a bit slow because my child was apprehensive but once she started opening up, then there started to be progress. Understand that this is a two way street. You get as much as you put into it. Also, as a parent you have to be open and willing to take responsibility for your part, as well as patient and understanding of the process. The change and progress is gradual. I beg you from one parent to another, don t be the one to stump your child s emotional and mental health. I recommend therapy to any and everyone who is willing to listen. There is a better way, for a better tomorrow.

I was a patient here and was treated fairly good, there really isn t much communication with the psychiatrist to the therapist to you about discharge dates, or more information about your treatment plan but the therapist make up for it. I was blessed to have Mr. Z and Ms. Samurah as my therapists and can not emphasize enough!! To give them full credit of my mental health improvement. With them I have truly progressed so much and got the right therapy for me. Being able to talk to them and getting the right support from them has made me able to be more adaptable, find the right coping mechanisms for me, and accept my struggle and truly learn from this and grow as a person. Thank you to them! There are no complaints in that department. I hope they see this and continue to help other people and empower them just like they did for me. Thank you thank you thank you. Although one complaint is the lack of communication given to you about your schooling. I got super behind and just wish that my assignments could have been either1. Sent directly to me or 2. Once I returned to school, given extra time to complete everything that I missed out on. I really had to vouch for myself when I got back to school to be given time to turn in everything without late points. In general not too bad of a place coming from a patient that had my stay.

I wish there were more than 5 stars to give. The experience I had here in PHP and IOP with Alexia and Simrah as my therapists was truly such a blessing for me. During group therapy, Alexia and Simrah were extremely skilled at being able to read and react on even the smallest subtleties in the room. The always knew the right things to say, questions to ask, or encouragement to give at my most crucial moments in therapy. They have an uncanny way of being able to connect with all of their patients. They made me feel like a part of a team in group therapy and we all cared and looked out for each other. This was the best decision I could have made for my mental wellness. Everyone has life issues and experiences. Sometimes you don t know you need professional help until you re in the middle of it. Well I was. I am blessed to have a support system who was on board for my self care.I researched various IOPs/PHPs that my psychiatrist suggested. The Heights Treatment sounded like the best fit for me. Based on reviews and researching the area, solidified my choice to start treatment there. So I did.From the intake for IOP5, to individual therapy sessions, to group sessions including equine therapy, to individual sessions with Dr. R, was well thought out to get this group of professionals to help people. The one who held it together with scheduling to communicating to even listening for a couple of minutes in passing, was truly a blessing. Their client care services, Adam, is kind and professional. They all make you feel welcome.Bre - my therapist, help tremendously. Various group sessions, helped me realize so much. They gave me the tools to help me reach my goals. They helped me choose to do the work.
