My councilor, Jeff, saved my life.The others are great as well. They all take turns and teach classes for you through out the day.It's 6 hours a day of education, great food, beds are very comfortable and the property doesn't make you feel confined.Jeff, you're the best You can keep your cell and laptop, just not turned on in classes. You are set up with aftercare so you have a sustainable plan moving forward along with the tools to succeed where most don't.With over 40% of our nation addicted to some sort of substance and 60% of our country prescribed an Anxiety or Depression R/X, you don't need to feel bad about getting help.Scientists have proven addiction to alcohol is a destructive disease & there is treatment that can set you up for your new life.If it was Diabetes, or Cancer, you would get help immediately. Addiction is no different and doesn't care how old you are, the color of your skin, nor does it matter if you are a Doctor or Lawyer.I am surrounded by people of all sorts and you won't want to leave after 4 weeks, the path forward is clear by then but this will be something you have to work on for the rest of your life.Best Wishes to the Staff here & for the reader, it's a small investment for your future that you can do for yourself & your family..

I have been going here for about 9 years. I still go for my primary and RA. Drs even after moving 150 miles away near Palestine due to better Drs. I can't get an appt. for a new problem for a month or so but can go to any VA emergency rm. or several urgent/em. care centers in the nearby community. I get labs in Palestine and community care for dental and other procedures at Athens, BCS etc.. I kinda live in the woods. VA pays for travel pay so I feel blessed that though it is a bit of a hassle sometimes, I still have free healthcare and meds that could cost thousands a month.

Great program. The process is tremendous and helped me a lot.

I truly feel comfortable and safe when I walk through those doors! Miss Joyce is a pleasure to work with. They have instilled a judgement free zone. The topics and course curriculum allows for questions, answers, and insight.

Clean and organized facility. Your time here will truly be life changing. I can honestly say this is the best drug rehab in Austin. Everyone is friendly and treats you like family.

Before I came to E.A. I was at the lowest point of my life. I was addicted to multiple drugs, I had been to prison, I had lost my daughter, my marriage was failing, my family wanted nothing to do with me and I was selling drugs out of a hotel room. Great people in a great place

Long story short, 35 years of hard drinking landed me in a ditch in a city I'm not even from. But I thank GOD every day for it! My desperation for change got me to Briarwood detox center. I was so scared but I was unusually willing to do anything, the night before waking up in that ditch I was contemplating suicide, again. For so many years I watched my life fall apart time and time again, over and over. I really never understood why I was unable to control my drinking. Leaving Briarwood and while being transported to Nova recovery center I didn't know what to expect but my anger and anxiety were already building. I still can't get over how amazing Nova looks, it pretty much relaxes you the minute you arrive! I had never been to "rehab" before so I was blown away by the beauty of the amenities and the attentive staff. So with that said, I was sweet and grateful to be there for about 48 hours and then I started being the walking talking character defect stage character I was, telling everyone how they should do their jobs and finding things, if not inventing things to complain about. I still get embarrassed sometimes of my actions and comments I made the first weeks of my stay. But what stands out is how the staff didn't even blink! I never got the reaction I would of deserved! I was loved on! I was given understanding and compassion! They treated me like the sick person who needed help, that I was! They dug in and held me accountable with truth and what I referrer to as grace. The Recovery specialist who work with us, for us and teach us vital solutions to my disease of alcoholism that I will be forever grateful for. From the frequent individual counseling sessions to the daily group counseling classes to the, "hey I need to talk!", I received an understanding of how to maintain my life of sobriety! Nova is a very important and special place to me so I could really go on and on but the main point I want to testify about is this, I'm truly a better person today because of the dedication to helping people by the Nova recovery family!Sincerely,Dustin
