The nurses and their aides were attentive and caring. The food was tasty and well seasoned, and my therapists wanted me to get better, and were very patient with me. They made therapy fun. I highly recommend the Arlington Texas Rehabilitation Hospital.

They did nothing to make sure my home was safe to return to. I thought there is supposed to be a supervised trial run. Home health was not arranged. Home health is not coming until today, two days after discharge. I can't get to my bathroom with my walker among other problems. I've been going to the bathroom without my walker because the doors needed to be taken off the hinges. I told them in advance my home is not safe to return to.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
After completing some form of inpatient care, many clients transition or step down to an outpatient rehab, while some choose to transition from detox directly into outpatient care. High-intensity outpatient programming, including partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) is widely available for clients in early recovery, those leaving detox, and those at an elevated relapse risk. Clients in outpatient care generally engage in robust addiction counseling and recovery education, and some also receive medication assisted treatment (MAT).
inpatient iconInpatient
Inpatient rehab programs are geared toward clients in early recovery. They also provide intensive support for clients in crisis and those at an increased relapse risk. Clients receive housing and meals while in inpatient care, allowing them to focus solely on their recovery. Most programs prioritize addiction counseling but may draw on various psychotherapeutic modalities, including CBT, DBT, RBT, trauma therapy, and motivational interviewing. Life skills training and holistic therapies are also common in inpatient care.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive outpatient programs offer high-level care for clients as an increased risk of relapse, including those in early recovery, those with a strong history of relapse, and those experiencing a crisis. Intensive outpatient treatment typically requires clients to engage in nine to 20 hours of care weekly, with treatment modalities that combine psychotherapy and recovery education, and holistic therapies, such as acupuncture and animal therapy. Medication assisted treatment (MAT) is also common in alcohol and/or opioid recovery.
sober-living iconSober Living Homes
Residents of a sober living home in Texas reside at the halfway house with others who have agreed to abstain from substances and practice sober-living skills. The relationships and accountability formed here can help individuals strengthen their mental health and achieve long-term recovery. Residents share common spaces such as kitchens and back yards, share meals together, and share household responsibilities such as cooking and cleaning.
24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care
24-hour clinical care in Texas provides a safe environment for medical detox. This setting is crucial to provide medical care during withdrawal. Certain withdrawal symptoms can cause life-threatening conditions, but patients in a supervised clinical setting have treatment readily available to address any symptoms before they become severe. Treatment can also be provided for co-occurring physical and mental health issues.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Ridding the body of harmful, addictive substances, also known as detoxification, is usually the first phase of recovery. Those going through medically assisted detox can be administered medications by a team of medical professionals who are on-site 24/7 to provide different types of therapies that help mitigate withdrawal symptoms.

I would have rated five stars easily except for one issue, that is the food. I know hospital food in general does not have good reputation, but so many problems with the food can be prevented or easily corrected. Let me start with the positive, though, the OTs and the PTs Are outstanding.I came in the last week of June for Le knee total replacement and spent 10 days here. Upon going home I had a few weeks of outpatient rehab, And because the first surgery had gone so well with its rehab, I was able to come on August 20 for the right kneereplacement. I m being discharged on the eighth day following surgery as independent. I am walking without assistance of a walker or cane, and I am able to do everything independently because of the skills of Jasmeen T., and the other PTs and OTs, including especially Bailey and Maddie. they worked with me individually and Exceeded allmy expectations. (I need to also mention the PRN PT (Macy?) on the weekend was also exceptional in her skills.) Jasmeen s knowledge and skills will make her an exceptional employee when she is hired following getting her graduate degree.I worked over 35 years as a vocational rehabilitation counselor, and I experienced observation and placement of clients in rehabilitation facilities, so I have some background to Reinforce my opinions here, in addition to just being the patient.I have to also thank the administration, the physicians and nurses that everyone here was very professional and helpful. So the only thing keeping me from giving a five star review is the food. I provided some specifics to the staff so that they could know what is important about the food just the bread quality and the basics in overcooking vegetables, under cooking the bacon, for two examples.

I am giving this place 2 stars because of the therapy staff, not for anything else! The food was not very good, but I was allowed to bring in food for my wife. It is a for profit operation so the owners don't maintain the patient furniture. The tray table in my wife's room had no wheels and was difficult to move about and raise and lower. The chair in the room, when I tried to raise the foot rest it popped out so hard and fast it nearly bruised the backs of my legs. The therapy staff was very good and patient with both of us in teaching us what we needed to do once we got out of there. The nurses were overworked and under paid and under appreciated. My wife required additional medical care while in the facility, the nurses could have done the work but let it slide til someone else did it. On one occasion I questioned the nurse on the procedure to provide an infusion. She got defensive and raised her voice which led me to raise my voice. She eventually called the police on me. I was looking out for wife's safety because I knew what the proper procedure is in preparing for a blood transfusion. The doctor over seeing my wife's medical needs, i.e. blood and platelets missed her blood count numbers 2 weeks in a row. They don't have a lab in house so they send the samples to an outside lab, then they have to request blood from Carter Blood Bank. The process to get blood and or platlets takes a minimum of close to 24 hours from start to transfusion completion. The nurses can do it but it is not a priority for them. The facility says their priority is rehab but the nurses don't do the rehab, the therapist do. I definitely would not recommend this facility if someone needs anything more than rehab!
