Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

check iconDual Diagnosis

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

mental-health iconMental Health

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

inpatient-file iconCognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

couples-therapy iconCouples Therapy

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

medical-detox iconExperiential Therapy

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

family iconFamily Therapy

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

intervention iconGroup Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

mental-health iconIndividual Therapy

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Nutrition Therapy

Nutrition therapy, aka medical nutrition therapy (MNT), is a way of treating physical, emotional, and medical conditions through diet. Specific dietary plans are designed by professional nutritionists or registered dietitians, and patients follow them in order to positively affect their physical and mental health.

house-medical iconTrauma Therapy

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

I went in under a false threat of suicide with extremely high blood pressure from a really intense panic attack. Was there nearly 4 days, and received exceptional nursing care, and participated in many group and recreational therapy activities. My meds were updated and was a ... Read More

I went in for what I thought was heart related issues. They quickly ruled out heart and started looking further into possible causes of my body numbness on one side. The care team while in was great, BUT I was discharged with paper prescriptions. I was in Terre Haute on work, so I went here. This is 3+hours away from my home. I went to get my meds filled and was told one needed called in. I called Dr. Cao and FINALLY got in contact with him after hours of hold time and runaround. He said he would call it in because I am located 3 hours away. 3 days later, it is still not called in. THEN I took my discharge information in to a local doctor to get followup care as suggested since my symptoms have persisted. I was told that there is no "real information" on this discharge paperwork, nor do any of the listed phone numbers on it actually work. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO KEEP UP WITH MY "STROKE LIKE SYMPTOMS" as they put it, when I can not even call and ask questions for aftercare. I have called the hospital directly and am awaiting on a call back, but until they get back with me with some answers, I can not only not go back to work, but I also can not give aftercare doctors the information asked for from my hospital visit to get back on track. I highly for immediate care given. I strongly do not recommend if you need answers, and/or need any information after your visit. They will give you a 48 page packet with basic information, printed off the internet.

Go somewhere else if you have the option, reception can't take your insurance info correctly , out sourced billing department. No calls, no bills in the mail, tell you you're all cought up on what you owe and then recive collections notices in the mail years later. Outsource just about everything and when there is a problem and you call all you get is a shoulder shrug and forwarded onto the next person that is no help at all

I went to the 4 west mental heath wing by my own free will just to get help with my medication. The stay was okay but after I was discharged and got home, I went to go pick up my prescriptions and the pharmacy told me that the doctor that rote them was not covered on my insurance and that I would have to pay out of pocket $15,$15, and $80 a piece for my meds. I called them to let them know what's happening and they told me they would have it fixed 4 days ago and give me a call back. Guess what no call back yet still!!!!!

My husband wheeled me in a wheelchair into the ER and went to park the car. When he came back in, he was told he had to wait about 15 minutes before he could come back to my room because they were doing an EKG. I was having a panic attack and stated I really needed him back there because he had information that I couldn t convey to them because of my condition. They finally let him back And from there it got worse. I explained to the doctor that came in what I was feeling and he was very demeaning even at one point saying well you re not gonna die from that. It was the absolute most terrible experience I ve ever had not just at a hospital, but anywhere.

The food is a complete joke. I used to work in that kitchen and it's gone totally down hill. David the GM doesn't know anything about food but holds people accountable for standards even he cannot uphold. I suggest take a look in the coolers and freezers and see the mold growing, it's dirty, unorganized, etc.Nasty, will never eat there again.
