We were camping near this hospital. When my brother in law started having complications from his low sodium and raised white blood cells. Dr.Horne and all the staff including the owner of the hospital were nothing more than fantastic. My recent stay at S2L was life-changing. For years, I have been struggling with depression, anxiety, alcohol, addiction, etc. I saw help and was given methods, steps, ways to cope with the things I was dealing with. But I always knew deep down that this was a Band-Aid approach.I have been a Christian for a long time, but my faith was very weak at best, all but dead. I thought I was going to just have to suck it up and live with my problems, coping the best I could, for the rest of my life. But God had other plans. He led me to S2L where I learned, or was reminded of, my true identity in Christ. They taught me of all the spiritual blessings I had because of what Jesus had done for me on the cross, how I was a son of the King himself, filled with the Holy Spirit, and that all I needed was Him. S2L taught me the four pillars and seven principles from 2 Peter 1 and how to live each day in the Spirit, serving Christ.Nutshell, S2L gave me hope and pointed me to Christ. I must say reading the reviews on here right before going to this rehab had me slightly worried, but my experience at this rehab was awesome the staff are nice the environment was very comfortable and laid back and the director Mr Doug was above and beyond all expectations. But it's the other clients that make this place truly great. It's an amazing brotherhood that is one of a kind and no one judges anyone because they all understand what you are going through. I highly recommend Cumberland Mental Health as your health care provider for your mental health needs or whatever type of services you're seeking help with. I myself have been a patient of Cumberland Mental Health for quite some time.. years.. I started off going to the Hendersonville location yrs bk when I lived out that way,, which I also have nothing but great things to say about that location as well. I've also been to the Gallatin location. Their staff is amazing!! Always SO fiendly, informative, helpful, & there to greet you with a smile as you walk in... There's nothing worse then going into a Dr.s office (where post people would rather go/be anywhere else but the doctors.. lol) & not being greeted at all, or being given the stare down face that gives the look of the ole "Who are you? Why are you here? What do you want..?!" kinda face... lol! Ugh that's the worst! No worries for that when you walk into any of the Cumberland Mental Health offices! I can assure you of that! Front desk staff are always so sweet, helpful, & get you checked in in a timely organized fashion.. No chaos, confusion , or waiting to be seen for hours past your appointment time.. I can say in all honesty I've never had to wait longer then 10 to 15mins at the most to be called back. That's a huge deal for us mommy's, working moms (& dads), or all humans in general.. We all have things to do, & places to be.. So sitting in a doctor's office waiting room is never ideal for anyone. At the same time, things do happen & I always understand when a Dr. or therapist is running behind one day or overflowed with patients/appts.. I get it. They're doing their jobs & they're doing it to the best of their ability to help all of us. So for me personally. So to wrap this up... I personally love Cumberland Mental Health & all their staff. Not just my provider... the secatorial ladies, the nurse, the therapist/case workers who never fail to always take a few minutes to tlk with me, ask me if I'm doing well, or if I need anything! Not only in the office, but they call periodically through the month to check up on me and that's so important and kind in my opinion! They're a solid 5 star doctor's office in my book!
