i have been to several other treatment centers and also worked for a few as a tech and supervisor... when i came here i expected the same thing but was shocked to learn of things i have never heard of that actually helped me to stay sober. ACTUAL TOOLS I CAN PULL OUT AND USE WHEN TRIGGERED. i have been promised this several times but never have i ever actually been given actual coping skills. the lady who teaches DBT is a god send... her classes are powerful and she gives clients things to practice that for me have actually work. my therapist has pulled things out of me that i never thought i had the strength to share with another human which lead to an ultimate surrender and peace i have never known. the case managers are rock solid and make me feel seen heard and cared for. Banyon was the last house on the block for me.... I had burned everything down and expected to get clean and sober the same way i had tried 20 previous times but the staff and the group of men and women that were there with me literally saved my life. i HIGHLY recommend this treatment center. im writing this review with hopes that someone who has never been to treatment before will see this and let Banyon palm springs be there first and last... i Pray you dont have to do this as many times as i have had to do or burn everything down like i have. please give these people and honest shot cause they care and are the best i have ever seen in this field. If they can help me....a hope to die junkie/drunk... then they can help anybody (if you just follow and trust what they tell you)thank you Banyon.... you have given me the tools to be happy no matter what life throws my way

Hello my name is Pejman and I m a trained interventionist. I help a lot of people with substance abuse problems get into detox and rehabilitation programs regularly. I went to visit Liberty House and tour the entire facility. I was welcomed and treated with love and grace and after touring I was very impressed with my experience. The staff was professional and organized as well as the grounds were well kept both inside and out. The clinical team presented as exceptional professionals and showed me their unique styles of programming tailored to the patients needs. There s a certain culture and feel this facility offers that I have never experienced in other centers. The bedrooms beds and common areas were accommodating and the entire home was clean and pristine. I m confident that Liberty House would be an excellent establishment for me to send my future patients to. - Pejman Alaghamandan

Pros: Caring Staff, Balanced Groups, Decent Food as far as rehabs go. Visits are allowed on weekends after 7 days.Cons: Occasionally some clients that need special mental needs met slip in the cracks and it is difficult to replace them where they need to be.It seems like corporate has the budget in too high of a chokehold, I can't imagine 50+ men at a rehab do not facilitate a higher budget than what is currently allocated. Clients shouldn't be able to feel this.If you are not keen on a lot of men around you, consider other options with smaller populations. If you are heading here without a choice, talk to your counselor about any accommodations. If you are looking to get sober, this is a place that runs a dog through the facility and tries to take measures to better facilitate it to those that want to make a serious change for their lives. If you have derailed your life and hit rock bottom, got felonies, or you just got out of prison and have conditions, this is definitely a good spot to put your life back on track. If you are going to rehab for the right reasons, you will not have an issue with 90% of the staff. Most treatment options felt like just like they were farming us for the money, this was NOT one of those facilities.Even if you don't know where you are, give this a shot. I'm glad I did!

Let me preface this by saying I am a big reviewer. I read reviews and I leave reviews. Having said that, this is probably the most significant review I have ever and will ever leave in my life. That is for one reason. This place did not change my life, it saved my life.I was a resident at The Prado house for 90 days, from the end of May until the end of August 2024.Nothing I could write, no eloquent words could ever do justice to this program and the amazing staff. Each one is so committed to the well-being of each resident. Johnny, my case manager, is without a doubt top three favorite men in my life. His genuine desire to provide empathetic support is second to none. I cannot sing his praises enough. Kim is amazing and Maggie has to be one of my favorite human beings on this planet. ALL the staff is beyond dedicated.I came in with an 8-year heroin addiction, and a 10-year meth addiction. Among other things. I expected to leave this facility with 90 days clean. And I did that. I never would have imagined those 90 days would now be at the bottom of the list of what I gained in my time there. 90 days sober while you're in "a bubble" is not all that hard to accomplish. Being filled with the confidence, the desire, the faith and given not only a toolbox FULL of tools but the tricks to applying those tools the second you walk out the door, now that's what gives you a fighting chance. I received that in the His House / New Creation program. They carefully transition you at the end of your time there to wherever you and your case manager decide is best. There are MANY options. And their alumni! The HHNC Alumni is second to none! The continual support of like-minded people who are committed to their sobriety and working a solid program of recovery is priceless!I HIGHLY recommend this program to anyone suffering from any type of substance abuse disorder. If you are willing to put in the work and pursue recovery as hard as you pursued your addiction, please, call this program. They have mens homes, a womens home as well as co-ed homes. They accept medi-cal. Even OC medi-cal. As well as private pay.I hope this helps anyone on here looking for information and HOPE. There IS hope! ~~~I'm happy to answer any specific questions about the program, the Prado house etc. I know going into a program can be scary and I know I had a LOT of questions I wish I'd had answers to while researching places. So please, don't hesitate to ask.

Review: My Experience at Maple House (Cedar House)I stayed at Maple House, a prenatal program at Cedar House, and had a mixed experience. My case manager, Laura Garcia, was unprofessional and struggled to separate her personal life from her work responsibilities. She went out of her way to contact my social worker with false allegations, which created unnecessary stress.I also experienced racial slurs from other clients and reported these incidents to Laura, but she ignored my complaints and disregarded my concerns. This made the environment feel unwelcoming and hostile at times. However, I want to highlight the exceptional support I received from Eva, a staff member who has worked with Cedar House for over 20 yiears. Eva was incredibly kind, professional, and motivating. She played a significant role in encouraging me to stay and complete the residential treatment program despite the challenges I faced. While I am grateful for the positive impact Eva had on my journey, the unprofessional behavior of certain staff and the lack of action regarding serious complaints left much to be desired.
