I came here yesterday early morning as a walk-in patient yesterday. As a healthcare worker, I know that they have every right rejected me to see doctor because I don t have an appointment or urgent health situation. The front desk tried her best and helped me efficiently. As an initial visit, they did a thorough questionnaires showed that they care their patients. The nurse practitioner is great. (Forgot her name) I ve met lots of awesome nurse practitioners. She s definitely one of them. When she realized that my problem is too complicated for her to handle (like larger size tumor issue). She will make sure that I got somebody to take care of it. I can tell that she loves her job, cares for her patients. She can be trusted. Good work ethic. The environment is clean. Those people are working under professional management. I will keep my PCP here.

This place is horrible!!!! If you want real medical advice steer clear from here! They are more concerned with controlling you than helping you. You would think if you are concerned with something and you know your body best that they would want to help you, but no the rather assert their dominance then actually assist you and do their job. GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE FOR HELP!!!!!!

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Treatments

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

I wish you could negatively rate a place! Every single experience here has been terrible! Every single one! This most recent one the doctor SYLVA GARAGULAKIAN walked out of the room as we were talking to her. Just walked out mid sentence! Didn t say anything. We had to go out and ask for the discharge papers we brought in from the hospital. So we could leave as she never came back!I have an autoimmune disease that went misdiagnosed for over 20 years! My daughter is presently presenting with a lot of the same issues. I asked if they could check her blood specifically for one thing as that is what I have and my daughter has a 30% increase in having the same thing. She said we will check her blood for auto immune issues. I told her I got my blood checked twice a month for over a year and they never found what I had because they didn t specifically look for it until last year when I had a specific flair up in one part of my body. She then replied with I m the provider you aren t going to tell me what to do I m sorry no one is telling you what to do or challenging your authority. I m simply asking why you wouldn t check for a specific thing when she has a 30% more chance of having that over any other disease!?!?She also never once touched my child or looked at the area of her body that was hurting her.She said there is no way you tore anything I m just going to send you to physical therapy when we let her know the ER suggested we follow up with an orthopedist and rheumatologist to ensure she doesn t have a tear or an autoimmune issue. She isn t even a doctor. She is a nurse practitioner or something, she has no idea what she is doing, has zero bedside manner, or professionalism.Maybe if she had any confidence in her skills she wouldn t be so triggered when someone asks for a procedure to be done and instead would put the clients health as first priority.Go here if you want to die earlier than you should

I switched to Reseda Blvd location and, wow, what a difference. Total bummer that Dr Lawrence retired but Dr Albert Askiranam is Great! Listens, great sense of humor, even makes me feel like I'm his only patient. Support staff is great, top notch in my opinion. Sad to leave Oxnard St (NPs Nadia and Arnen are exceptional). The vibe in the long line outside and in the waiting room is just not my thing. Sorry.

If I could vote for zero stars, I would. I was working on my Master's Degree at CSU Northridge when a covid infection hit me, lasting for almost two months. The student clinic could no longer treat me so I was referred here. The doctors here are QUACKS ! ! I clearly showed symptoms of a long term Cov 19 survivor including blurred vision, shortness of breath and memory issues. WHen I requested a letter of reference to apply for disability, I was given a letter woefully inadequate. I feel as though I was ignored and severely neglected. Dr. Martha Bil is the WORST HEALTHCARE PROVIDeR I HAVE EVER HAD TREAT ME. The center is known for treating addicts and they treated me like one. They are the most demeaning of healthcare providers I have used in 61 years. These people are USELESS BUMS ! !

Absolutely love Dr. Lawrence however his staff is so inefficient and clueless I don't know where to start. They can't give me referrals as promised and can't seem to get my prescriptions ordered to the right pharmacy. Dr. Lawrence please make sure your staff is better qualified or go find new people.
