When your 18 yr old child and long time patient is in crisis, they won't return a phone call (or 10) because "HIPPA, we cant even confirm or deny they are a patient... here's an email for the suicide hotline" but go 3 days late on a bill and they call you constantly. I honestly never hated any business as strongly as I hate this place. And rest assured it is a Business.

I chose this location at random back in Aug 23 because I had been dealing with what felt like higher-than-normal levels of anxiety for a couple of years. I noticed increased irritability, and overthinking many daily tasks and common life events that I never worried about in the past. I had never really been an anxious person. After taking care of and watching my mother pass from early-onset Alzheimers, I knew it would be in my best interest to talk to a specialist. Little did I know that my life would change after speaking with someone for just a few months. Troy taught me how to process my grief in a systematic way that made sense to me. Today was my last session with him, and I feel like a huge weight has been lifted. I will forever be an advocate of therapy because of this experience. Thank you Troy!

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Aftercare, which is sometimes referred to as continuing care or relapse prevention, is a type of structured care meant to help you continue with the progress you've made after completing an addiction treatment program. Most of the time, you'll continue receiving support after a treatment program by partnering with their case managers and staff to identify and access the resources you need to remain sober.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Medical detox is the process of ridding the body of addictive substances in a medically supervised setting. If you become chemically dependent on a substance like alcohol, opioids, or benzodiazepines (like Xanax or Ativan), quitting abruptly can cause uncomfortable or even dangerous side effects. Licensed medical professionals ensure the process goes as safely and comfortably as possible while monitoring you 24/7 and administering any required medications,

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

A quality drug rehab in Georgia can help you overcome addiction. This environment is designed to help you address the complex issues contributing to drug dependence. The goal of treatment is to give you the tools you need to make a full recovery.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

Teen Program
Teen programs are designed to address the unique pressures teens face, pressures that can drive them to experiment with dangerous, addictive substances. They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Therapy can help teenagers understand and work through underlying issues so they can reclaim the life ahead of them.
adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
child-program thumbnail image
Child Program
The providers who specialize in the children's rehab space understand the specialized needs that this population faces. School-based and social services such as tutoring and family counseling are often central to treatment. Child programs may also address the needs of youth experiencing substance abuse in the home, including a parent's or sibling's addiction.
seniors-program thumbnail image
Seniors Program
Nearly one million adults age 65 and older live with a substance use disorder. Treatment providers who specialize in senior care understand the social, psychological, and physical effects of aging and how they relate to recovery. They can help clients address particular challenges and risks they may face as they get older such as overdosing and medication interactions and dependencies.
postpartum-program thumbnail image
Postpartum Program
The postpartum period is a sensitive time, especially for women in addiction recovery. Rehabs with specialized programs for new mothers will offer compassionate, personalized care to meet each client's needs as they transition from pregnancy to this season of life. Care teams may include obstetricians, pediatricians, and social workers working collaboratively to give women, children, and families a healthy future.

Clinical Services

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

EMDR is a therapeutic modality originally developed to help process trauma. In an EMDR session, a patient is prompted to undergo eye movements that mimic those of REM sleep. This is accomplished by watching a therapist's finger move back and forth across, or following a bar of light. The goal is repetitive sets of eye movements that help the brain reprocess memory, which can significantly reduce the intensity of remembered traumatic incidents. Associated memories can heal simultaneously, leaving patients significantly calmer, more stable, and more emotionally relaxed.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

Troy Law is the best therapist I ever had, the only one I ever liked, and the only one that ever treated me like a real human being. He didn't baby me or beat around the bush, we had genuine honest conversations. I was a kid at the time I saw him, but he treated me like I was a man. So i'd highly recommend him for males of any age, because I'll always cherish what Summit offered me through that relationship.

Perfect place to go for help dealing with anxieties, stresses and overall difficulties navigating adolescence. Therapists approach helping kids and families from a loving Christian standpoint. We have been through multiple places and have found the therapists here to be the absolute best - they genuinely care for the kids. It isn't about the money or a quick medication. We are seeing results and know we have a long term partner in our court. We work with Mariah - tops in the business!!! :)

We took our 9 year old daughter to Summit to help with anxiety. She was struggling with fears and anxiety that were affecting her sleep. Today she is confident and able to deal with things as they come up. We worked with Mariah, who my daughter loves. Would return to Summit if we ever need these services again.

Ewell Hardman is dishonest and used as a hired gun in custody cases for family court. I know this because he was hired in my case. He told me one thing in person and then presented a report that was the exact opposite based on pure hearsay from the other side. He has negatively affected my life and my child's life through is irresponsible actions.

I went to one of the therapists for 8 or 9 sessions and despite the fact that I have some form of (still) undiagnosed depression, anxiety, or bipolar and frequently experience suicidal or self-harming thoughts or urges, she consistently told me that she didn't want to put "labels" on what I was experiencing by diagnosing it. She also frequently told me that my depression/etc. had to have outlying causes, and that when I felt sad, anxious, wired, etc. something must have caused it outwardly. When I explained that it would strike randomly (aka, I would be having fun with my friends and randomly feel sad for no reason, etc.) she told me that I was just missing the "triggers" and got frustrated when I couldn't identify them. While I definitely have triggers for feeling certain ways, a lot of what I was/am experiencing is uncontrollable/related to the biochemicals in my brain and not outward causes- which, as a licensed mental healthcare provider, she should have at least acknowledged. In addition, I frequently found myself trying to explain feelings to her that should have been self-evident to her/she didn't seem to have any understanding of common feelings/emotions associated with mental illness. As a result of this, I frequently felt stressed in sessions trying to search for or even make up "causes" for the way that I felt throughout the week and trying to define feelings such as "desperately sad." In addition, the front office is very disorganized. Other than the fact that my therapist was only available every 2 weeks (which was already an unhealthy arrangement for me), at one point I called them over the phone to schedule an appointment. The woman on the phone scheduled me not only with the wrong therapist, but on a day when my therapist apparently wasn't even working. As a result, when I received a text reminder and realized the mistake (the two therapists' names had the same first two letters, leading me to believe that the receptionist had just typed in the first two letters and hit the first option without checking it), I called to see what had happened. I was informed that it was a mistake and that the next available appointment with my therapist wasn't for an entire month (I ended up going 6 weeks without seeing her- which, again, is very unhealthy, although at this point I had finally taken steps to see a different therapist at a different establishment). The receptionists told me that they would call me if any other appointments opened up between now and then, and either absolutely nothing ever opened up or they didn't pay attention. When I finally went to my appointment 6 weeks later (my last one with this office), I asked the front office if they would consider giving me a discount on the session since they had made a mistake in the scheduling. They told me that they would contact their manager and call me about it, but they never did; instead, I received a bill in the mail a month later. Evidently, they just wanted to circumvent an argument with me about the billing. They also failed to include a superbill to give to insurance (since my therapist was out of network). Overall, I was deeply disgusted with this place, especially since they consider themselves to be a "Christian" establishment. Doesn't seem very Christian to me, unless you're describing the hypocritical Creationist brand of Christianity. Overall, I do not recommend if you are struggling with anything beyond mild circumstantially-based anxiety or depression.
