outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

inpatient iconInpatient

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

sober-living iconSober Living Homes

Sober Living Houses (SLHs), aka sober homes or halfway houses, are safe, substance-free, supportive living facilities for those recovering from substance abuse. Ideal for those who've just been through inpatient or outpatient treatment, SLHs are supervised environments with rules that support sobriety, such as curfews, shared chores, and therapeutic meetings. Residents are also often trained on life skills and coping skills to make it easier to transition into society. SLHs also provide a strong sense of community that can lead to the kind of deep and lasting connections with other sober individuals that supports a new, healthy lifestyle.

Heart icon Treatment

alcohol iconAlcoholism

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

drugs iconDrug Addiction

Once a person has become addicted to a substance, drug rehab in Maryland is often necessary to overcome that addiction. These programs provide the tools individuals need to manage the physical, mental, and emotional issues involved and begin a successful recovery journey.

check iconDual Diagnosis

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

substance-abuse iconSubstance Abuse

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

EDIT: Michel Morgan. I never have had any contact from you or your agency or the courts. I have gotten no offer to defend any of my allegations with the evidence I still have today. If you really have gone to through the courts I will look and for any sign, because I could use some entitlements that were taken from me while I was recovering in shock trauma.Thank you for your concern. After leaving your facility the trauma seemed to helped me become serious, because I have stayed sober, gotten my license, finished my AA become employed and still remain in recovery. To be fair the houses I stayed in were clean. After a drunk resident attacked me at 2am while I was sleeping and put a knife to me, Mark (the director) moved me to another house. There I was with a roommate who drank his Natty Ice every morning after his methadone maintenance and smoked crack in the room. I alerted Mark who did nothing. Couple days go by when I get attacked by said roommate. Police were called while roommate fled, made a police report then had to go to hospital due to severe head injuries. While I was in the hospital all my valuables were taken by the director himself. I have police reports, hospital papers, and audio recordings of all this and more. Most people openly use. While I was there a counselor was fired due to sexual harassment of the females where he was having sex in the basement he was allowed to stay in while working. Then when I went to apply for some state perks like gift cards and such they were already given to Standing Strong who fraudulently used my name to continue to charge the state. I would love if anyone wanted to doubt any of this because I made sure to have proof of it all!

This is Michelle Morgan - CEO of Standing Strong Inc. I would like to respond to the negative comment about our agency. We pride ourselves on providing quality services to adults seeking substance abuse treatment and do provide Recovery Residences to assist the homeless population. It is unfortunate that this particular client did not take his treatment seriously and was discharged for non-compliance to the rules and regulations of the program. The incident in questions was over one year ago and it is well documented at the court house and well as the case being thrown out. We hope and pray that this client receives the assistance that he needs to achieve his goals.
