I came here and was so surprised by what the program entailed. They taught me so many tools to help with my addiction and other things in my life. I honestly feel like I have a whole different mindset about life. It made me excited for the future. The staff there is AMAZING. All the counselors and trainees were super cool and helpful! Katie who teaches the class is very passionate about her work and really cares about your success to be a better person. The free time to bond with the other clients was amazing. You really make friends there! I would recommend this place to anyone.

I wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation and gratitude for such a wonderful program, all the staff our caring and experienced with the problems that come with addiction.The environment at the Canyon in professional clean and very welcoming, because of the Canyon I am sober member of society today, my family is back in my life, all my legal issues have been dealt with, with the Canyon assisting me with great references to take to court. I cannot thank this program enough, especially Antonio, Franchesca ,Jesse, and Lisa. These staff members has went above and beyond to help me become a better person. The work they our doing at the Canyon is the best I have seen in the 25 programs I have been too before coming to the Canyon.I have a long history with drug and alcohol addiction and I have been through so many programs that just didn t care about helping you or giving you the tools you need the deal with your addiction. But thank God for the Canyon at Santa Monica. The Canyon in my opinion is the best program I have ever been treated at for alcohol and drug addiction,God Bless theCanyon

I have to send a shout out to West Valley Detox. I had to bring a friend there and the staff was amazing and the treatment was effective. Having to help friends or family with an addiction issue is never easy or fun but given the circumstances the experience was very postive. I highly reccomend.

What you need to know about Ranch Creek Recovery:They accept health care insurance. Katie was great in helping me find the right healthcare provider and coordinating enrollmentPRIOR TO ARRIVAL:coordinate which house you will be staying at (Bass or Dorrien), what day you'll be arriving, how you'll get to the program, pack a week worth of clothes including a bathing suit, books, booklight (if you plan to read, because all lightbulbs are the dimmest possible), and alarm clock (unless you like counselors walking into your space, waking you up randomly).UPON ARRIVAL:You will need to be dropped off (there is no personal parking or vehicle storage). You'll go through a search (appropriately, light pocket check and bags emptied) all electronics will be confiscated (headphones, phones, chargers, etc) and stored in a locked closet. Full inventory documented for all items. You will have up-to 3 days to DETOX as needed where you can sleep and rest privately. I personally got bored very fast and decided to join the group early rather than just sleep, but the option is available as needed.ONCE SETTLED IN:There is a 7 day blackout period where you are not allowed phone or computer use and can not have visitors or communicate with family/friends (emergency exceptions). There are typically 4 (one hour) group sessions daily, during which either worksheets are used from various therapy resources, or rehabilitation-related YouTube videos are shown. Counselors rotate based on internal scheduling. You'll have 1-2 private therapy sessions scheduled each week for one on one with Leena or Christine both are great to work with and talk to one on one. Meals are scheduled 3 times a day, residents are responsible for cooking their own meals and can "graze" in making snacks/meals as needed.DEPARTING:A close-out assessment will be completed prior to your scheduled last day with an emergency safety plan for sign off. A pick-up time will be scheduled, all itemized inventory reviewed with sign-off. an IOP Intensive Outpatient Program will be offered through RCR Ranch Creek Recovery and/or a plan for after care reviewed.NOTES:Phone use allowed 1 hour a day at night after dinner, following a 7 day blackout period. Group sessions can be "boring" lots of downtime, lots of staff turnover.There are two houses BASS & DORRIEN.Bass is the main property and where groups are held.Sleeps 6 residents. There are 3 private bedrooms each with a queen bed (one has it's own bathroom, the other 2 share a bathroom), and 1 oversized bedroom with 3 queen beds, another full bathroom by the living room. big screen smart tv, L-shaped old sofa [over-due to be replaced], matching captains chair with footrest [also ready to be replaced], eloquent dining room (dedicated as an art space), enormous dream kitchen with separate pantry room, food shopping is done once a week with a list (residents responsible to cook their own meals), Pool Table, Ping Pong,, Pool (ICE COLD), Jacuzzi (turned on Friday night only, no lights), garage with some gym equipment (you can use during free time), and a large sunny well maintained backyard is accessible.Dorrien is the "overflow" smaller secondary house about 10 minutes away. Also sleeps 6 total. 1 large bedroom with 3 beds, 1 bedroom with 2 beds, 1 master with a queen bed which shares a jack-and-jill bathroom. TV, living room, hot tub.DAILY ITENTERARY:This is where it gets a bit "grey space" ....There is a plan on paper (somewhere) and then there is reality.PAPER PLAN*I could be slightly off, as no schedule was providedwake up 7am-7:30ambreakfast 8am-9am9am-12pm & 1pm-5pm grouplunch 12pm-1pm dailydinner 5pm-6pm dailyfree time 6pm-10pmTuesday = Sound Therapy (AMAZING)Wednesday = Yoga (BEGINNER)Thursday = Fitness Training (NOPE)Friday = Educational Rehabilitation Movie & Horse TherapySaturday = "outing activity" (NOPE)Sunday = Family visitation 12pm-4pm (last 2 weeks only)its helpful if youre looking to get clean. The property and people are nice overall.

The treatment programs are comprehensive and they are an excellent center for teen recovery.

This Rehab facility was absolutely life-changing for me. There are so many great things I could list about this place. The staff were knowledgeable, compassionate, friendly and MOST of all: EXTREMELY accommodating and understanding with requests. The house was located in a quiet and peaceful residential neighborhood with absolute stunning views overlooking the ocean. The fun activities and experiences/outings were extremely helpful coping skills for my mental health and cravings.At Laguna View Detox it is evident that the staff care about you from the time you walk in the front door.I would like to point out that while this experience was amazing, there are a couple of things I would like to point out as areas for growth and improvement.1. Food - the food was sub-par in my humble opinion. While they do cater to dietary restrictions and allergies, there were many occasions that felt like the same food was repetitive, less-healthy, and lacked the right amount to serve everyone to their satisfaction.It would have been nice to maybe have the option for meal prep or an activity cooking course to teach people the skill and value in cooking together as well as considering a part-time chef position to develop those skills in staff and clients alike.2. Staff/clients - While 90% of the staff/clients were absolutely amazing, there were a couple that maybe could ve brought more value to the table or fulfilled their duties so others wouldn t have to suffer the consequences. It s not fair nor realistic to expect perfection from everyone but it is possible to differentiate those that are there to just collect a paycheck or take advantage of the care the system provides.These problems will undoubtedly always arise in every work environment and company alike thus should be expected time to time. The higher management can hopefully take more proactive measures to prevent the house becoming a toxic environment as well as addressing the problems at the core of the individuals.Once again I would highly recommend this place to anyone seriously committed to attaining a peaceful and healthy life of sobriety. I am forever indebted and grateful to LVD for my experience. I am also proud of myself for making the best of this opportunity and utilizing all the tools, skills and knowledge taught from the wise and relatable staff.I have made life-long friends, relationships, coping skills and knowledge that I will carry throughput my lifetime toward sobriety. When I look back at my time at LJR all I have is smiles and good vibes. The staff is real, committed, and actually cares. They genuinely look out for each other and even when I had an issue during my stay, they fixed it, resulting in me not only feeling heard but valued. Passionate people who work here with good hearts. My experience at CPR was more satisfying than I expected. The group leaders actually cared and helped clients work thru the difficulties that we all face while getting sober and guiding us in the path we chose to go after completion of program. The outings throughout the week keep it fun and not as stressful. The sober houses are very nice. Leah who has helped me thru the aftercare has been extremely helpful to me as I start my new life. My bf and I just graduated and couldn't be in a better mind set. We had the best house managers Chad and Devonna who were very caring, engaging, and really made the house feel like a family environment. Jose, Jesus, Lenny, and Lauren all go above and beyond to make sure your getting the most out of your treatment. Meetings, church, outtings, group, therapy sessions, and a clean living environment were always made sure to be included. Life is what you make it, treatment is what you make it and i couldn't of asked for a better treatment center to get my mind right and become drug free! Thanks Muse for making that possible!

If you need help with your addiction then I strongly encourage you to contact Muse. The staff are understanding, the program is focused on the issues that keep addicts relapsing and teaches them things to combat urgent and mindsets that keep an addict in addiction. Recovery is possible. I was a patient here and didn t put in the work and it showed when I got home and chose to relapse. I came back to Muse for a second time and it s really amazing at the difference it can make when you actually apply what they teach you. Hands down best experience I could ever recommend.

This place changed and saved my life. I owe the staff and owners everything. They took a dead man walking and gave me hope through God and the 12 steps of Narcotics Anonymous.
