It's horrible. The male staff (Drew) likes to give his contact information to female clients. It's a bed and 2 meals for 10 days. You will receive NO help, be scolded like a child, and treated like a nuisance. They have no bedside manner and some lack basic kindness. NOT A PLACE FOR VULNERABLE ADULTS.

This place is a joke. Brought my daughter here for help and they made her sit on the curb outside. Told her she couldn't step a foot inside the door because she was a minor. Very unprofessional staff.

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient rehabs typically provide a full continuum of care both for clients in early recovery and for those who are well advanced in their recovery journey. Their levels of care typically include partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), sober living/halfway housing, and standard outpatient programming. Many outpatient facilities offer evening, night, and weekend services, including addiction counseling and recovery-focused life skills training, to accommodate clients' work and family schedules.
inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Wife ended up there for some stuff and they treated her like garbage. This place is a joke. Snotty disrespectful people that judge people in their time of need. I don't know how people like that are allowed to run a crisis center!!!

My vulnerable adult child went there seeking a place to get stable during a suicidal episode. They convinced them that they needed their entire ssi check and that they were able to live on theor own without actually securing services and refusing to hear what their past is that is still a pattern they have and are legally unable to be on theor own. Drive my kid into a psychotic episode and I believe this isn't the 1st person they've done this to. Staff isn't mebtalnhealth educated and acts smug and unprofessional.

I regret having to give this place a star even.I've never felt so alone and isolated. I have been contemplating Suicide for the past 2 days. Doing research even. I'm depressed beyond measure.I get there "caring staff" to do the interview.Ithe lady Doing my over the phone,HA!! I could of got more concern and understanding from a A.I ROBOT.This is scary, they have people like her dealing with people like me, because at the end of the day, to me they were my last hope. Why? Why would be my question for her.Why so cold

Staff does not seem trauma informed. Both times I've stayed at this crisis center I have been humiliated. I have a PTSD diagnosis and struggle with mental health, seem to get along with peers but the staff does not seem healthy or positive.

Loved how they help me get all the resources I needed.did not like the fact that they "feel" like 4 business days is good enough for them to say your good to go! (10 Daysmax) next thing I know i am in the same crisis I was a week ago but worse! just because they thought I wasn't doing my part! What your going through dont matter to them they want you out that door as soon as you get your resources . P.S talk to patient on one to one about things that are "Doing Wrong" or when they "feel like" we are not doing are part. I know we stand in agreement in the beginning but who reads all that when you're in a crisis ! I personally wouldn't go back .

I am a RN in the Mankato community. I contacted the crisis center looking for weekend resources for those struggling with their mental health. I spoke with a very informative and helpful staff member who immediately assisted me. Together we were able to help a community member get immediate support. I was impressed with the ease of the process. It is important to note the address listed on pfau is incorrect as they have a new facility.
