This was my first time in rehab butIt saved my life. I really liked the fact that it was located in such a serene area with the ability to walk the lake, go fishing or just sit outside and journal. I wish sick with an upper respiratory infection almost the entire time I was there so I wasn t able to make as many classes as I would have l, however, what I did worked for me. There are several employees there that genuinely care about their health and well-being. I have no intention in returning as a patient but will gladly return to speak. I ve made lasting connections there even though it what a couple hours from where I live. We meetup and take trips together. I ve found a new circle of friends, a support system that understand exactly where I ve been. If you re needing help, this is a place I would recommend.

I was here twice in 2013 - 2014.It was not until I was IVC'd into what I thought was a similar place in Raleigh, NC, that I realize how fantastic this Aurora Pavilion was. I was temporarily living in Aiken and in major alcohol withdrawal (I get the horror show of symptoms) and I was deeply depressed. This place first detoxed me and they did it right. The meds I was given greatly alleviated my symptoms and I was able to get plenty of rest and fluids before joining the rest of the patients. There were activities throughout the day and we were kept occupied and our minds were kept busy and stimulated, with activities that were both therapeutic and interesting. The staff consisted of actual nurses and doctors. During down time, I was able to speak with other patients and feel some sort of connection with what we were all going through. Although I am not Catholic, a nun even came around to check my progress a few times.I invite people to click on my other reviews and read the one for Holly Hill and see what a difference!

I've been going here for over twelve years altogether. I've found every person working there to be thoughtful, attentive, understanding, and wholly involved and committed to the successful recovery and/or development of their patients to be able to live a more self-sufficient and self-satisfying life, as free from the horrors and pain of mental illnesses. In order to get the very best care along with the very best results and treatment, it's important to become your own best advocate. You must speak up and out and let people know what kind of issues you're dealing with, and what kind of path you'd like to take through the journey to healing and recovery. The staff at the Hartzog Center have always encouraged me to be the primary person in charge of my care and treatment. They've always listened to my needs, been incredibly supportive of everything I am trying to achieve, and have always been terribly easy to talk to, and to get help from when designing my own personal treatment plan.If you want good care, you've got to be a great patient. Nobody can read your mind. The staff at the Hartzog Center in North Augusta definitely care, and always support and encourage every patient to be involved and be proactive with the choices they make towards furthering their treatment goals.
