intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

South Bay’s Intensive Outpatient Program offers short-term programming for those who do not require the intensity of a full day Partial Hospitalization program. IOP consists of intensive treatment within a stable therapeutic setting. Like a full day Partial Program, IOP provides daily management and active treatment in an outpatient setting and consumers have continuous contact with their psychiatrists on a regular basis. Some psychiatric illness is more manageable with access to the correct help and support, and consumers may use this program to avoid the more intense option. Through IOP, their staff provides a hands-on, comprehensive level of support that consumers access each day in order to maintain a healthy and productive lifestyle.

outpatient iconOutpatient

South Bay’s Structured Outpatient Addiction Program provides short-term, clinically intensive, structured addiction treatment services. This program is designed to enhance continuity for consumers being discharged from acute treatment services (Level III) or medically managed (Level IV) detoxification programs as they return to their homes and communities. SOAP is also appropriate for consumers whose symptoms indicate a need for more intensive addiction treatment than can be provided in a regular outpatient program. Clinical programming is primarily group-oriented, with additional individual and family counseling services available.

aftercare iconAftercare Support

Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Heart icon Treatment

alcohol iconAlcoholism

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

drugs iconDrug Addiction

Addiction is a highly complex problem, and drug rehab in Massachusetts is often necessary to address it. These programs treat physical, mental, and relational issues that are involved. Treatment empowers individuals to manage these issues without the use of drugs.

check iconDual Diagnosis

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

mental-health iconMental Health and Substance Abuse

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

couples-therapy iconCouples Therapy

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

family iconFamily Therapy

Their team of CBHI (Children's Behavioral Health Initiative Services) clinicians focuses on strengthening the family and making it possible for a child to remain in the home. Their interventions are highly structured, tailored to the family’s strengths, and designed in collaboration with all stakeholders. They offer a variety of specialized services, programs, and highly trained professionals to properly assist the child with their exact behavioral health concerns.

intervention iconGroup Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

mental-health iconIndividual Therapy

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

house-medical iconTrauma Therapy

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

I was going here a couple years ago and it was OK for an experience for group therapy but I did not like the setting too much but the staff was wonderful. This is a day program for mental health. I would recommend this place if you were looking for a group therapy setting, but the setting is kind of like a classroom type setting I am and I didn t really care for the setting of the environment but overall it was a somewhat good experience. I went there on and off for about six years.

It's really sad that this place has gone downhill !The receptionist clearly has no idea about professional conversation. And to put a little effort into caring for the patient who is looking for some sort of information. They should just seriously close this whole place down because! This is not going to help mental health at all If anything it's going to put a person with mental health and more of mental health !! So not worth it!

Mentor is an awful company that does not care about their therapists or their patients. Do not do business with them. I was never told that my therapist was let go until I got in contact with them myself on the day of my appointment. You CANNOT do this to mental health patients. I've never heard anything good about Mentor and now I see why.

This is very sad news. I thought South Bay went out of business. Between sanctions from Attorney General and Covid, I thought they would never recover. The inappropriate supervision and insurance fraud left them with a worse reputation than they already had. Their day program was worthless and they do not even have one psychotherapist on staff. I feel sorry for anyone who thinks that going there will offer you any help. They are always understaffed and have to combine classes. The staff turnover is ridiculous. Poor Kate got laid off and had to take an entry level position at her age at ACCS/Fellowship. What a way go go out! She obviously never listened to or had any kind of financial planner. Most people just call it quits at her age.

"Excellent day treatment options and fully confidential" Is that what employees here say to themselves while drumming up hippa, 5th, 8th, 25th and 4th violations with the state turning your private medical records over to probation to fabricate an invalid, non-applicable probation violation? Yeah I should def keep going here right! lmfao
