About Sober Partners Network

Sober Partners Network, with a location in Newport Beach, California, offers medical detox and dual-diagnosis residential alcohol and drug rehab for adults. Sober Partners is pet-friendly, and they offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT), gender-specific programs, services for the justice-involved, and aftercare support.

During medical detox, patients are monitored and medical staff are available to provide treatment for withdrawal symptoms. Once detox is complete, some patients benefit from MAT, which allows those struggling with opioid or alcohol use to use FDA-approved medication longer-term. This can help manage cravings and lower the risk of relapse.

Residential treatment services at Sober Partners Network include individual and group therapy, 12 Step meetings, addiction education, medication management, MAT, and relapse prevention. When not in treatment, residents can participate in a variety of activities such as yoga, kickball, softball, bowling, weekly hikes, and beach days.

When treatment ends, Sober Partners helps residents connect to appropriate outpatient programs and sober living arrangements and offers follow-up and fun activities for those in the area.

Sober Partners Network accepts a variety of insurance plans, such as Beacon, Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, UMR, and United Healthcare. Insurance plans vary, so be sure to verify coverage details and out-of-network benefits directly with your insurer.

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

heart-hands iconIntervention Services

Intervention services helps family or friends of addicts stage an intervention, which is a meeting in which loved ones share their concerns and attempt to get an addict into treatment. Professional intervention specialists can help loved ones organize, gather, and communicate with an addict. They can guide intervention participants in describing the damage the addict's behavior is causing and that outside help is necessary to address the addiction. The ideal outcome of an intervention is for the addict to go to rehab and get the help they need.

sober-living iconSober Living Homes

Sober Living Houses (SLHs), aka sober homes or halfway houses, are safe, substance-free, supportive living facilities for those recovering from substance abuse. Ideal for those who've just been through inpatient or outpatient treatment, SLHs are supervised environments with rules that support sobriety, such as curfews, shared chores, and therapeutic meetings. Residents are also often trained on life skills and coping skills to make it easier to transition into society. SLHs also provide a strong sense of community that can lead to the kind of deep and lasting connections with other sober individuals that supports a new, healthy lifestyle.

aftercare iconAftercare Support

Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

inpatient iconInpatient

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Heart icon Treatment

alcohol iconAlcoholism

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

drugs iconDrug Addiction

Drug rehab in California teaches participants constructive ways to stay clean and sober. Treatment revolves around helping individuals stop using the substance they are addicted to and learn healthy habits to avoid relapse.

check iconDual Diagnosis

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

substance-abuse iconSubstance Abuse

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Hand holding medical sign icon Clinical Services

medical-detox iconExperiential Therapy

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

family iconFamily Therapy

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Fitness Therapy

Fitness therapy blends exercise with psychotherapy for a fun, inspiring, and effective way of treating addiction and other issues. By incorporating movement into counseling sessions, clients become more empowered, motivated, and goal-oriented, all while strengthening their bodies and becoming more flexible. Fitness Therapy is usually used to complement a course of treatment (inpatient or outpatient) to make it even more successful. Increasing the connection between a patient’s mind and body helps both with healing as well as in creating new, healthy habits.

intervention iconGroup Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

mental-health iconIndividual Therapy

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

recreational-therapy iconRecreational Therapy

Recreational therapy (aka therapeutic recreation) uses creative and fun activities to help with addiction recovery. Recreational therapists lead patients in entertaining and engaging activities like sports or games; art (drawing, painting, sculpture); drama, music, and dance; and/or community outings (field trips) to improve patients' physical, social, and emotional well-being.

I came into recovery not expecting much of a change. My routines and life were set. This was life and I would survive until I didn't. The houses and the staff are great and quick to connect and share their experience. I can't express how much this process has completely reshaped my view on life and people. Truly, not just recovery but life and a way to connect with people from all different backgrounds and life experiences. I wish that all people got thrown together and had to go through the process of building relationships accepting differences and open doors to vulnerability with other humans that start as strangers and become family. It's a real gift. The magic starts and Residential and moves into the sober houses which create more bonding on a group level as well as individual growth and goals. This is something that I will always refer to as one of the best experiences of my life. Something I "Got" to do and not something I "Had" to do. Thank you to my family at SPN. If you're looking for a spot in our family, come on home. When you're done say hi to me on the Alumni thread.

Sober Partners saved my life. I ve struggled with addiction for 9 years. I always tried to get clean on my own but failed repeatedly. This is my first experience in treatment and it is something I will be forever grateful for.I did 30 days in the residential program and then went to their IOP program. I had only planned on staying for 60 days but I was making so much progress and I had grown so close to all the people, staff and other clients. This place makes you feel like family.Truly an extraordinary experience.I have now been clean for 7.5 months and I m happier and more more confident and comfortable in life than I ve ever been.

Forever grateful for Sober Partners staff and housing, I truly love everyone here and it's absolutely beautiful. I appreciated the cleanliness of the environment. I was at my very lowest coming to them thinking I would never be able to get off drugs and they spent a tremendous amount of time and effort with me getting me to where I am today! September 2024 I will have 2 years clean and sober leaving their program! Everyone is so amazing here and treated me like family, such great encouragement when I didn't have anyone. I especially want to thank my case manager Robert for pushing me through things I told myself I couldn't get past and never giving up on me. I was hopeless and he was my hope until I could start thinking clearly for myself. Robert is such an amazing soul and to this day I think to myself how grateful I am that there are people like him and the Sober Partners staff in this world to help us addicts and alcoholics get out of the dark hole and recover! The therapist Carly is the best therapist I've ever had in my 24 years of going to therapy and the nurse Hailee was so encouraging when i was ready to give up and knew all the right things to say to me as well as providing great detox methods that kept me comfortable. I received more effective treatment from this program in 6 months than I have anywhere else in my years and years of trying to get sober! They definitely care about their clients and it's forever appreciated! Thank you Sober Partners!!!!

I just left yesterday and I can't express the freedom and peace I have. The staff and accommodations are exceptional. Every staff member has been instrumental in giving me another chance at building a life not worth throwing away. They all loved me unconditionally while teaching me to love myself again. They take all your worries away so you can really focus on fixing yourself. They give you the knowledge and resources to really create healthy thoughts, feelings, and behavior to enhance every aspect of my life. They gave me life long friends and love. I would stay away from this treatment center. The house is really nice and close to the beach but they don't give you good care. You feel like they are just taking money from the downtrodden addicts. Don't give real support that's needed, and they are garbage about helping you with the legalities of going to rehab when you have a real job. I've been denied my Disability payments because of their medical staff's refusal to send in my claim. They just won't send it in, and now its been 6 months, and I'm still waiting. My advice...look elsewhere for a treatment facility. If you have insurance that would cover this place, you can find a much better rehab than this dump.

The program is very well worth your time. You can't put a price on treatment, and even if it is out of state it is worth it. The team helped me each step of the way. I am from Minneapolis mn. I would have never thought I would be doing rehab in Cali. My sober partners made that happen and I would highly recommend this facility to any one anywhere.
