This organization is involved in fraudulent activity. Without my knowledge, their registration department forged my consent onto a legally binding financial agreement, communications agreement, and a consent to release of information, all without giving me the opportunity to even read or know the content of the agreement. They then proceeded to issue me an unreasonable bill for unnecessary treatment I was directed to receive without first obtaining informed consent. Please be careful dealing with this corrupt and non-transparent healthcare company. They attempt to unethically extract money from you by any means possible.

My personal experiences have left me with serious medical trauma & permanent, lifelong damage to my body, & when I've tried to report these things, I'm ignored. Patient Relations has ignored everything I've sent to them. Because of my health issues, I'm forced to keep going to appts where these kinds of issues continue to recur because the hospital & staff aren't interested in feedback to improve their systems/how the patients are treated. I have tried to report: Lying about information in my medical file; Causing permanent damage to my body through surgical procedures that they were ill-prepared to perform. Communication issues, everything from a provider/staff member being egregiously rude (I really can not emphasize enough how rude most medical professionals are to their patients. The forums online would have you believe that staff are only rude to rude patients, but a lot of the time, patients are rude to rude staff because we are in pain, seriously ill, & being treated contemptuously) to ineffective communication between depts. impacting patient care.Upon doing further research into how hospitals & providers deal with patient complaints, I have found a lot of reports from medical staff talking online about how they typically ignore these things. I have read a lot of discussion threads where they are openly complaining about the patients who complain, disregarding their experiences, & lumping all of them into a category of being a difficult w/ no valid concerns to address. I understand that providers & hospitals do get some unreasonable complaints, but this admittance, on just about every thread you can find online with medical staff discussions, shows that those working in the medical field truly do not care about what their patients think/feel. They admit to throwing away the complaints & ignoring the majority of them.I implore everyone w/ negative experiences w/ their doctors & hospital systems to file complaints. It may feel futile, but the more complaints they receive, the less they will be able to ignore us. Also, do file with these other agencies.-Your insurance directly-Washington State Department of Health-Washington Medical Commission-Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner-Washington State Medical Quality Assurance CommissionPlease write reviews, so other patients can be informed about your experience w/ particular doctors/medical staff & medical facilities.A lot of us turn to reviews to help inform our decisions on what to purchase, who to see for a service, etc. Not enough people report their bad experiences. Please take the 15 minutes to write about your experience & publish it. I have seen a lot of providers that have nearly 5-star reviews online, that have been some of the worst doctors that I have encountered, & I have heard stories of how bad they are by others in the community, but this isn't getting reported online, so their numbers remain deceptively high.I also implore medical staff to remind themselves that the patients are the ones in the position of suffering, & you are in the position of compassion. If you are not interested in compassionately caring for your patients, please do us all a favor & change your career path. If you are so burnt out by the system you are working in, you need to stand up for yourself & your co-workers, & dare I say your patients, & try to implement change. If you are so burnt out that you can't provide compassionate care, then you need to voluntarily excuse yourself from working in a position that requires that as a basic feature of the job function.

Edit: My uncle was rushed here having a heart attack last week, he unfortunately passed.. after he passed away staff here asked my family 3 times within 30 minutes where we planned on taking his body, he hadn't been deceased for an hour and this was totally unexpected. By the third time my family was getting really disturbed by this. When I worked in the medical field we cared about people, I don't know what is going on but it's disgraceful! My husband and I went to the emergency room and there was absolutely no care for the elderly / disabled patients in the waiting room. We drove one patient home as he was sent out on the streets after hours of waiting to be seen, in his wheelchair to try and wheel miles home at 2 AM. Which if you ve been there, there s a huge hill to get back into town which he would ve had to go down. We fed people in the waiting area that had been there for hours and hours and helped disabled/ederly patients to the bathroom and back in their wheelchairs. No one was helping them that worked there. I would absolutely NEVER recommend this facility. Our medical system is broken. If you would like to see a facility that makes a profit off of people suffering this is the place for you. They mishandle claims and you will receive surprise medical bills after the claims have been paid in full. And if you have any questions, no one will speak to you about it. This facility is one of the worst of its kind and keeps hitting new lows. Not only do they mishandle billing, their care is subpar. I had a mishandled claim with this facility and they send their extremely aggressive collection agency after you, and they will sue you. Then go to their facility and find a new block and building purchased off of your misfortunes, it's disgusting! This medical system really needs to change. It is really bad it s not to make you better it is to Keep you dependent upon it. So much better off eating with the Earth has provided if you grow it yourself and taking the natural way out.. I would never go to a doctors office here again. The other issue I had was when making an appointment for my husband to see his endocrine, As he had run out of his insulin and was trying to refill. Then calling his doctors office, they told him they cannot see him for six months, knowing that he has type one and has no insulin, I ask if there were any cancellations if they could please give us a call of course they didn t. Nor did they care that my husband was completely out of his medication. We had to find multiple other pathways to try and get insulin so he wouldn t die before his appointment, then when we made it in there. this system is failing us and not to mention that it s prey on people that are easily victimized - older people, I feel would be intimidated into paying things that are not valid. Watch out.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care
24-hour clinical care in Washington includes a team of medical professionals who are on-site 24/7 to provide the care you need. Medical staff can provide medications and other physical treatment to help you safely navigate withdrawal. Counselors offer mental and emotional support. Other specialists who offer additional resources may include nutritionists, family therapists, and case managers.

Treatments

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
seniors-program thumbnail image
Seniors Program
Nearly one million adults age 65 and older live with a substance use disorder. Treatment providers who specialize in senior care understand the social, psychological, and physical effects of aging and how they relate to recovery. They can help clients address particular challenges and risks they may face as they get older such as overdosing and medication interactions and dependencies.
hearing-impaired-program thumbnail image
Hearing Impaired Program
A sensory disability, such as hearing impairment, can compound the challenges of addiction recovery. Drug rehabs that are specially designed to accommodate the needs of persons with hearing impairments will include special accessibility features and accommodations to make treatment as comfortable and effective as possible. This may include access to American Sign Language interpreters.
military-program thumbnail image
Military Program
Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

The goal of trauma therapy is to help you heal from the aftereffects of a traumatic experience. Your therapist will provide you with a safe and supportive space to process these trauma memories and develop better coping strategies that enhance your emotional resilience.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Nutrition therapy, aka medical nutrition therapy (MNT), is a way of treating physical, emotional, and medical conditions through diet. Specific dietary plans are designed by professional nutritionists or registered dietitians, and patients follow them in order to positively affect their physical and mental health.

Recreational therapy is a dynamic approach to drug and alcohol addiction treatments that integrates activities like gardening, music therapy, and sports. These activities give you a therapeutic outlet for your emotions and help you to reduce your stress levels. This protects your physical and mental health and helps you develop new skills that foster a sober lifestyle.

Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) is a way of getting nicotine into the bloodstream without smoking. It uses products that supply low doses of nicotine to help people stop smoking. The goal of therapy is to cut down on cravings for nicotine and ease the symptoms of nicotine withdrawal.

I saw the occupational health doctor in September of last year to reopen 2 L&I claims. . Fast forward to July 2024 and a denial letter from Board of appeals due to confusion about 2 claims because the paperwork was not filled out correctly by the Dr and or office. I reached out to occupational medicine, was on the phone with a receptionist from urgent care who bless her effort but didn t seem to understand what she was doing and I can t see the Dr for over a month. Time is of the essence as it has been 10 months I have been waiting and I have a hearing at the end of the month. This mix up will only make things more confusing and not from anything I have done but I will bear the brunt of the consequences both finically and physically. They do not have a wait list, so I m just stuck. This is a paperwork issue and no help to be found. What a 3 ring circus but make no mistake you will be charged for any detail they can charge you for- and leave you crying on the phone because you are out of options.

I was seen by my doctor Jared Lampert for my three month check up. We talked about my blood workup and different things with the blood draw. I really like Dr. Lampert. He listens very well and we have very good conversations about my health. I had Dr. Lucianna, then he retired, that's how Dr.Lampert became my doctor. I am so glad we hit it off from the beginning. I am a lucky man.

I must say that my experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I entered, I was greeted by a warm and friendly receptionists who made me feel welcome and comfortable. The waiting area was clean and well-maintained, creating a calming atmosphere. The doctors and medical staff were highly professional, knowledgeable, and attentive to my needs. They took the time to listen to concerns and answered all of my questions with patience and clarity. I felt valued as a patient and confident in the care I was receiving. The efficiency and organization of the office were commendable, as I never had to wait long for my appointment and the scheduling process was seamless.Overall, I would highly recommend skagit regional clinics and Dr. Trista Pendergrast s office to anyone in need of medical care. Their friendly staff and comfortable environment make for an outstanding experience. Thank you for providing such excellent healthcare services.

I was very impressed with Dr. Chew. He spent all the time I needed in our pre-surgery meeting. I immediately had confidence and trust in him. My surgery and recovery went great as well. Then, he followed up with a phone appointment to check on my progress. Very professional and personable.
