outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

aftercare iconAftercare

Clients who are leaving detox or intensive inpatient care often transition into a rehab aftercare program. Outpatient treatment is among the most common rehab aftercare services, but clients often continue to receive support long after being discharged from formal treatment. Clients' long-term care plans are highly individualized and designed to evolve with the clients' changing needs. Case managers and care teams typically work with the client to design their unique care strategy.

12-step icon12-Step

Participants in 12 step programs receive ongoing peer support while cultivating recovery-focused life skills. They engage in frequent, sometimes daily, 12 step meetings, which are anonymous, free, peer-led, and available day and night in most communities. Self-selected sponsors offer one-on-one mentoring throughout the recovery journey. This model invokes spiritual principles to encourage self-awareness, forgiveness, accountability, and acceptance in persons pursuing recovery. Specialized formatting is common, including programs for teens, seniors, and family members.

heart-hands iconIntervention Services

Planning a drug intervention in West Virginia is a challenging process. Often, complex family dynamics and long-term patterns of behavior are contributing to the addiction. Drug intervention programs offer intervention specialists who can help with this process. These professionals educate everyone involved about substance abuse, addiction, enabling, and recovery. They can facilitate the intervention, keeping the discussion on track and productive. They can also provide treatment options and guide the individual to the best program.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

If you have become physically dependent on drugs or alcohol, quitting abruptly can cause withdrawal symptoms like anxiety, headaches, flu-like symptoms, and more. In severe cases, these withdrawal symptoms can even be dangerous. In medically assisted detox, a team of licensed professionals will monitor your vitals, provide medication if needed, and help keep you as safe and comfortable as possible during this process.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. mental-health iconMental Health

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

inpatient-file iconCognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

dialectical iconDialectical Behavior Therapy

The core philosophies of dialectical behavior therapy in West Virginia are that everything is interconnected, change is inevitable, and you can integrate opposites to reach the truth. Treatment focuses on acceptance and change. You'll learn how emotions and behaviors are connected, accept your feelings, and learn how to change patterns of emotion and behavior.

intervention iconGroup Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

mental-health iconIndividual Therapy

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

desert iconMotivational Interviewing

Motivational interviewing in West Virginia is often used when the client's desire to change is low, their confidence is low, or they are struggling with mixed feelings about change. This technique allows them to explore the change process and feel empowered to move forward.

house-medical iconTrauma Therapy

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

couples-therapy iconCouples Therapy

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

family iconFamily Therapy

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

I waited 2-3 hours for a counselor to assist me and they never called me back to find out what I required.

Had a very bad experience with Lab's front desk Vicky. Not very approachable, extremely rude, and not friendly at all. What I can say is the front desk for the care clinic was a different setting, Kimberly and Samantha were the sweetest, super helpful, and patient. They went out of their way to help me and my mother. Kimberly was very helpful with her Spanish, it's always a plus to see bilangual healthcare workers.

Was disconnected twice on the phone after waiting 20 minutes the first time and 18 minutes the second time finally got ahold of Joslin and hey guess what she also disconnected me my call is of urgency for medication I must not miss. Let's see if they call me back because they do have my # because they ask you to verify that when you call....extremely disappointed and feel neglected

Everyone I have ever been in contact with here has been wonderful. They have all gone above and beyond to help me in any way and answer any questions I had. Specifically each and every person at the WIC office in Martinsburg has been phenomenal. Everyone is so kind and willing to help in any way possible. It feels like a family there and the support and friendliness makes all the difference. We need more people in the world like this who love what they do and making a difference no matter how big or small in someone s life. I am always so blown away at the experiences I have with everyone there. Thank you so much for standing out and being great!

I've had 5 doctors in the past 4 years. Seems this is a place where Doctors are doing internships or waiting for better jobs. They can not keep anyone on staff. Its very frustrating because the facility is very nice and its local. I am still a patient but I am running out of patience... no pun intended. Here's a pun, do you know what they call the Doctor who scored lowest in their class? ............... Doctor.

This place is not about helping people my mother is actively dying of lung cancer and congestive heart failure in a different state and they discharged me from the program because I had to do my zoom meeting in another state. Maria one of the employees there must not know what it's like to be in recovery and is a selfish woman

Says open at 7:30am but still haven't switched phones on from answering services! Seems whoever is in charge needs to be on time and do their job! No wonder everything takes forever and they are always rescheduling appointments!!!
