Negative Vibes, ManI will most definatly start by saying that I have met some of the most amazing people i have ever known there and I treasure each and every one of the wonderful things they all give me daily. Now, star worthy, let alone review worthy stuff like this is not my style. I wish with this to advise anyone to consider this place home. In recovery we are often in a bind and need somewhere safe to land. We also are trusting, hoping that the things advertised are as promised. The ownership at serenity house are the polar opposite of the name. Desperation for profit and the knowledge of our vulnerability feeds the intent of this home which was most likely a wonderful idea to start with. i highly advise you to consider all other options before you put your recovery at risk. Besides my truly wonderful new life long friends (sorry guys if you're mad at me for this), i only recieved constant stress, drama and worry from serenity house. And yes, BED BUGS.

***BED BUG INFESTED*** The community, accountability and fellowship at Serenity were great, but the ownership of Jocelyn & Robert was terribly disheartening when I came to discover the true nature of their dishonest character. Myself and several other residents discovered bed bugs infested in our rooms and mattresses. When we requested a professional exterminator be brought into the home, the owners refused and told us to be quiet about the issue and keep it hush hush. My roommate and I were then kicked out of Serenity house with nowhere to go and only 3 months into our recovery. Jocelyn and Robert had zero empathy or compassion knowing this and kicked us out anyways. We were also promised reimbursement of that months rent and its been 2 months and I still haven't recieved my check or contact from either of them. Any advice I could give, is to use caution going here. After leaving Serenity, I was blessed to get into an Oxford home. There are Oxford homes world wide and all over Colorado that are a much safer, cheaper, cleaner way to go. Where you will be surrounded by people who care and will help you grow in your recovery and not cause unnecessary triggers to us trying to get healthy. If you're in need of a sober home, check out Oxford homes online and it will show you the ones in your area. Blessings to you all and may God lead you to the place best suited for you and your needs! :)

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
sober-living iconSober Living Homes
Sober Living Houses (SLHs), aka sober homes or halfway houses, are safe, substance-free, supportive living facilities for those recovering from substance abuse. Ideal for those who've just been through inpatient or outpatient treatment, SLHs are supervised environments with rules that support sobriety, such as curfews, shared chores, and therapeutic meetings. Residents are also often trained on life skills and coping skills to make it easier to transition into society. SLHs also provide a strong sense of community that can lead to the kind of deep and lasting connections with other sober individuals that supports a new, healthy lifestyle.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Professional services are often necessary to recover from addiction. Drug rehab in Colorado provides the expert services needed to address the complex issues of addiction and help individuals start their recovery journey.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Very disappointing. All the surrounding rehab facilities and detoxes know to not send their clients to the serenity house and even warn against it.Jocelyn and Robert (the owners) are dishonest with one goal; make money.I'd left a review 2 years ago when I moved back in, full of hope for my life and recovery. They made up a complete lie to kick me out after collecting rent, which isn't an uncommon experience for most who live here.I felt it was important to change the review to an honest warning. This is not a healthy environment that's conducive to staying clean and sane. The are many other better places to go.

There are establishments that will take advantage of your situation. Serenity House is one of them. My daughter returned to Colorado with no place to live. She had left a treatment center in California. She had no money. Prior to checking in to SH she had been drinking. I was advised of this by someone who saw her just prior to her checking in but learned about this fact several weeks later. SH admitted her knowing that I intended to pay as my daughter had no money. I live in another state. My daughter signed the contract which advised that there are no refunds if you are using. She had been using that morning prior to signing the contract in the early afternoon. She was also tested for BAC that evening and spent one night there. When I connected with Jocelyn Sharpes the proprietor on the following day, she said that she would accept a Zelle payment which is immediate so I paid her immediately. On the 2nd night my daughter was tested again and tested positive and was immediately asked to leave.I have no problem with my daughter being asked to leave. I do have a problem with the management knowing full well that she had been using, but waiting until they got their payment of $800 before asking her to leave.I asked Jocelyn Sharpes, Proprietor for a partial refund. She strung me along for more than 3 weeks saying that she would do that. Then, when I finally lost patience she informed me that there were no refunds. She got her money and was able to rent the bed out again.Christian? No indeed. Fair? Nope. Honest? Nope. If you go there, know these things before signing up. These people will take full advantage of you anyway that they can. At least one of the positive reviews appears to have been written by one of Jocelyn s family members. Stick with Oxford House.Note: Positive reviews are mostly from people who have only reviewed this one establishment. Makes me doubt that they are truly reviews from former tenants.

Serenity House is set at a key location in Loveland, CO. It's a great place to begin to rebuild with the balance of enough structure to keep centered and enough freedom to still experience a relatively normal life. I've been very comfortable since my arrival. The surrounding 12 step communities have arms wide open and are very close for those without transportation...very much recommended.

Set me with the foundation I needed for my new life. The Serenity house is a safe place for those looking to build a new life in recovery. Sobriety and recovery is so much more than leaving the substance behind. Community, building healthy relationships, and learning basic life skills are critical to sustained recovery. Serenity house is a home where you can begin to build these keys to a new life, one worth living. Sober living can be an intimidating choice, it was for me, but from the moment of arrival Serenity House felt like home. Give yourself a chance and consider the Serenity House for your transitional living needs.

I first arrived at Serenity House in 2010 and had 4 previous Sober Living House experiences with which to compare it to, and Serenity House won. I ended up staying there for 6 months when I decided that I was fit for reentering normal society, but I relapsed quickly and hightailed it back to a sober room there. It s easy to blame everyone and everything for a relapse except yourself, and I started to blame Serenity House for drinking again, but as my mind cleared I realized that the blame lies exclusively with the disease and me.During the numerous times I ve enthusiastically moved back to the Serenity House after making my life an alcoholic mess, I ve always found it to be a safe, clean, and very tolerable place to begin or continue my recovery. The rules and responsibilities are sensible and reasonable. Presiding over a couple dozen addicts and/or alcoholics is like herding cats it s not always easy. Yes, it is a for-profit business, and yes, kudos to the owners for having a safe and comfortable place for us to get our act together.

Serenity House took me in at a time in my life when my options were few and my health was tenuous, at best. I was welcomed with open arms and given a safe, supportive place to begin my healing process. I am so grateful that this program was available to help me on my way to getting better. I enjoy a healthy, productive life today and I couldn't have accomplished that without Serenity House.

I lived at the Serenity House 6 years ago. I just found out that yet another friend from the house has passed away. This has compelled me to write a review. My experience was horrible!!! I have lived through the death of a 23 month old daughter and have gained much wisdom and a very close relationship with the Lord given my experience. Sobriety Houses are a scheme. AA is also very dangerous. True love, what is God, is what aids the human race to continue and only love works. This is something that is highly discouraged by these houses and AA. I know that they really think they are helping and will always justify it...but unfortunately that is a cult mentality. When I met my fiancee, he was able to get me away from this awful brainwashing....and by showering me with true, unconditional love was I able to live and continue to live a healthy, wholesome, productive life, filled with meaning and substance free. I am speaking to anyone who is in a bad place and using alcohol and drugs. Let it go!!! God gave us will power. Turn to good , positive things. Sitting around in a house or room filled with negativity feeds negativity. Just let it go...and don't let the money hungry ego maniacs tell you differently!!! Keep the faith, love much and be happy. I'm speaking from experience and it really is that simple!!

The houses are in a great location with the snow covered mountains in the back drop of loveland. The houses are clean, welcoming, and it just feels like a home. If you are looking to start a new life in recovery - Do not try doing it alone. It is about 12 step meetings - keep it simple - no huge fees like most places in the area. You will love Serenity Houses!
