About Virginia Beach Methadone Clinic – VBMC

Treatment includes a combination of FDA-approved medications and mental health counseling. Individual counseling helps people identify the root causes of their addiction issues, while equipping them with information and skills that support ongoing recovery. The medications help clients safely detox from addictive substances, while reducing cravings and mitigating withdrawal symptoms.

The medication-assisted treatment program operates on an outpatient basis. Clients return to their home environment upon completing their sessions.

As a person progresses in their treatment, it is common to reduce the frequency of visits and move into an aftercare phase of treatment. Clients have access to ongoing mental health treatment and receive drug testing.

Sellati & Co. – Virginia Beach Methadone Clinic accepts most insurance plans, including Amerigroup, Magellan, ComPsych, Aetna, Cigna, Beacon, and more. Out of network benefits may vary, so it is important to verify coverage prior to starting treatment.

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

When you enroll in drug rehab in Virginia, a treatment plan is designed by professional staff in order to help you overcome drug addiction and modify addictive behaviors. This may include evidence-based treatments, group and individual therapy, and relapse prevention.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

I know, no private insurance sucks but believe me when I tell you this is the price of sobriety. It was highly efficient and with a professional staff without a doubt. If you are ready for a new start... this is the place.

Since new management, they are absolutely apathetic to an addicts needs and challenges. It seems alls they care about is the money and nothing else!

If you pay cash you can literally be high at the clinic dose and do this for decades. Have insurance especially medicade and you better have 100% clean urine and ask to do it in person and dipped in your presents because they said mine was dirty when I know it was clean. Also it's against the law to double charge medicaid patients. If you ever paid cash daily then got medicaid they owe you money. I complained for months and they ignored me till I said loudly " I used to work front desk at a surgions office and know who billing works you owe me 3 months worth of daily dose prices" and an apology." If they were investigated ill bet a hundred patients have been double charged. They always wanted you to go on high doses. Please go on suboxone. It's much better than methadone. Methadone is worse than dope and too many addicts love it. Suboxone is the path to a normal life.

I ve been to several different treatment centers and this is the only one that works for me. If there s a wait at all, it s brief. Staff are mostly friendly.

The administration here is in desperate need of structure. They have failed to provide a service which allows the patient to leave the program successfully. It is in every way designed to keep you in treatment. For those interested, NEVER question thier actions or even speak for yourself in a matter that they do not like. The administration thrives on the "power trip" & and will quickly make an example of you.
