Accepted Insurance

Sea Mar Community Health Centers – Salmon Creek works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).
inpatient iconInpatient
Inpatient rehab enables clients who are exiting detox or who are at an increased risk of relapse to focus on their recovery in a highly structured and supportive environment. Inpatient rehabs provide intensive clinical supervision and high-level treatment. Clients remain at the facility through the length of their program and typically receive multiple addiction counseling and education sessions per day. Holistic therapies, such as yoga, message, and meditation, may be used to relieve stress and ease discomfort.
12-step icon12-Step
12 step programs support participants' psychological, spiritual, and emotional development as integral to sustained recovery. Though 12 step recovery programs are based on the belief in a non-denominational higher power, religious affiliation is not required. Group meetings are paper-led, anonymous, free, and available daily, including on holidays, in most communities. Peer sponsors selected by the participants provide one-on-one coaching and support. Specialized formats are widely available, including programming for youth, seniors, and families.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Effective drug rehab in Washington integrates care for the whole person, offering comprehensive solutions to addiction. Treatment methods address mental, physical, and relational aspects of substance abuse.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

teen-program thumbnail image
Teen Program
Teen programs are designed to address the unique pressures teens face, pressures that can drive them to experiment with dangerous, addictive substances. They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Therapy can help teenagers understand and work through underlying issues so they can reclaim the life ahead of them.
adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
lgbtq-program thumbnail image
LGBTQ Program
Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a clinical approach to helping people with substance abuse issues and other conditions shift behavior in positive ways. It is more goal-oriented than traditional psychotherapy, as MI counselors directly attempt to get clients to consider making behavioral change (rather than wait for them to come to conclusions themselves). Its primary purpose is to resolve ambivalence and help clients become able to make healthy choices freely.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

Life skills training in Washington involves relearning how to manage daily living. It boosts your abilities and confidence so you can overcome challenges both big and small, without returning to substance use.

When your body is properly nourished, healing is much faster. That's why nutrition therapy is an important part of drug rehab in Washington. It helps you learn how to take care of your body so you can heal both mentally and physically from addiction.

I made an appointment for my daughter, explaining what was going on and what I was needing for her, ( she has had this medication before). The receptionist said no problem and put me on the schedule. At the time of the appointment the DR refused to give her medication, sighting that she never gives prescriptions and we would just need to go somewhere else. This was medication that my daughter desperately needed an was refused. The Doctor was dismissive and rude. I will never go here again for my children s needs.

Fatal, a disappointing place, it took up to two months to see a doctor, they asked me to go to the clinic, they would see if he would treat me. After a while, they took me to the office to tell him that they couldn't treat me, lost time, they don't think that many times one has to leave work to try to be attended to so that later they say that they cannot attend and you have to try again to get an appointment so that they can give it to you in two months, what a disgusting service they don't give a damn about your health. I'm going to monitor and talk to the insurance company and if they don't charge you why they also make you sign papers, they seem like unnecessary procedures to me.

Just DONT. They are scamming everyone of their patients for insurance claims. I had cavities, and wanted a cleaning. They wanted to schedule me 3 different appointments just for the cleaning, and wanted to numb my mouth for no reason. Seriously up yours seamar; you shouldn t take advantage of people with state insurance like that.

It was a several month wait for my nibling to get their intake appointment to establish care, but the care they received was compassionate, and they were listened to about every concern. The staff were a bit slow to submit a prior authorization on a medication, but upon hearing that it still hadn't happened at a follow up appointment, the staff fixed the issue immediately. The staff exceeded my expectations in terms of effectiveness of care, listening to patient concerns, and being LGBTQ+ friendly.I would give 5 stars based on the staff alone, but the wait times for appointments knock it down a star - you can try to get in quick if something is urgent, but I would recommend urgent care instead.

Only gave one star so I could leaveA review. Horrible just a horrible place. If you have a choice we're you get Medical Care. Do not go here. As a in home caregiver I deal with Sea Mar so much and it makes me sad to see the horrible care our elderly get. It really dose affect their health and life expectancy. The manager Zackary Forsyth at the Salmon Creek location is rude, unprofessional, argumentative and very unhelpful. The worst place to go for Medical Care. There is a free clinic that gives better care then this place. The wait can be long the day you go but you don't have to wait months to see a dam doctor. Something as minor as a bladder infection can turn deadly if you don't get in to see a doctor in a timely manner. Our seniors deserve better care. After today I'm adding to this review the doctor never sent in the prescription for the antibiotic my client was supposed to start. All so these semars should be shut down. Horrible care. Sadly as a caregiver I see my clients suffer everyday from the lack of care they get. If you have state insurance and have to use these guys I feel for you.

There are numerous issues with this clinic. For one, responses to questions made in the portal are non- existent. 2) VERY slow responding to refill requests. We have currently been waiting over 2 weeks for a refill of a medication my daughter needs daily. The Pharmacy has put in several requests. 3) Appointments are made months in advance, no matter the reason. It has also happened several times that an appointment we have waited months for is cancelled day of appointment because the Doctor can't make it. Then the next appointment is- you guessed it- months away again. My son has been waiting over a year to see his Dr. because of this pattern. 4) Some Doctors are reluctant to give referrals. For example, we were told that a dermatologist would not be able to see my daughter for a year, so no referral was made. It is now a year later and she still has her (now chronic) skin condition, but no appointment. Unfortunately, this is the only clinic in Vancouver that takes our insurance right now. If you have a choice, choose a better place.
