I am appalled at how unprofessional and bad this place is, I have never heard of a medical facility just cutting patients off of heart medication and saying too bad until we can see you and by the way, we can t get you in for the next three months, so if you have a heart attack too bad. Every doctor I have ever heard of usually atleast accommodates until the patient can get into their appointment or be seen. But not Seamar here, they don t care too bad just deal with it. Don t go here, they prioritize money and being able to bill you over patient health and safety.

I was EXTREMELY disappointed when I took my boyfriend to the "walk in clinic" they say there is on the website only to be told they don't take walk ins and it would be months to get an appointment. He has severe health issues and walking around isn't easy so making the trip there for nothing was very disheartening and upsetting. They shouldn't advertise services they don't provide, yet when I brought this up in the office they didn't seem to care and there was no apology. Very disappointing and uncompassionate care from the people you would expect it from the most.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
inpatient iconInpatient Rehab
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.
aftercare iconAftercare
12-step icon12-Step
12 step programs support participants' psychological, spiritual, and emotional development as integral to sustained recovery. Though 12 step recovery programs are based on the belief in a non-denominational higher power, religious affiliation is not required. Group meetings are paper-led, anonymous, free, and available daily, including on holidays, in most communities. Peer sponsors selected by the participants provide one-on-one coaching and support. Specialized formats are widely available, including programming for youth, seniors, and families.
aftercare iconAftercare
heart-hands iconIntervention Services
It can be difficult for family and friends to carry out a successful drug intervention in Washington on their own. Intervention services can help. These services typically include education about addiction and enabling behaviors, expert facilitation for interventions, and recommendations for appropriate treatment. Often, the involvement of intervention services can create a smooth transition into rehab.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Effective drug rehab in Washington integrates care for the whole person, offering comprehensive solutions to addiction. Treatment methods address mental, physical, and relational aspects of substance abuse.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a clinical approach to helping people with substance abuse issues and other conditions shift behavior in positive ways. It is more goal-oriented than traditional psychotherapy, as MI counselors directly attempt to get clients to consider making behavioral change (rather than wait for them to come to conclusions themselves). Its primary purpose is to resolve ambivalence and help clients become able to make healthy choices freely.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

Couples therapy can help a couple navigate their differences. By learning powerful interpersonal skills in therapy, the couple can work together to overcome challenges and change the direction of their relationship.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

I am almost positive that the vast majority of positive or 5 star reviews were planted or false and made up by SeaMar with fake names, etc. No person in their right mind who has been there is going to give a good review because they're completely incompetent and they don't provide anything except frustration and extra stress. When you call you're automatically placed on hold, sometimes for an ungodly length of time. If you need a prescription refill, you better request it well in advance as you will be required to call and call for days to get them to actually send the request to your pharmacy as they won't respond to the refill request the pharmacy sends them. And if you need any diagnostic imaging or specialized tests you can expect them to either fill the required forms out wrong or not at all unless you badger them daily for weeks, even when your condition is serious and requires urgent attention. This is the biggest joke of a clinic I've ever been to. Absolutely the WORST

My Dr. Brenda Grant is exceptional. She quickly got me referred to figure out my symptoms I've been dealing with. She has gotten issues I've been dealing with for quite awhile sorted out. She's done what other doctors didn't do and has went above and beyond for me. I can't express my gratitude for her care and would recommend anyone to her! She has a very caring bedside manner as well. She's top notch.

I am completely disappointed, Dr. Grant, because she couldn't find anyone in the state of Washington that could take care of my chronic pain medication. Has taken it upon herself to take my Meds. Away. My last appointment, which I restrained from going to the hospital here, as my shoulder is so painful, I waited to see her. Not only her only objective was to take my Meds away, I am a chronic pain patient. With RSD CRPS, did not address my shoulder. Still waking all through the night with pain. This is mal practice. Slammed the door and walked away. Now I am not sure if I am going to be able to live with this. I have proven that I do not play games with my Meds, it doesn't matter. So I don't matter. No justice for me. Calling all resources for the help I need. The damage to my body, is horrible, if she could walk a mile in my shoes, I would be impressed. But, I don't think she can. I have been a very good patient. I,have never done anything wrong. No one sees my Meds except for the pharmacist. Who I am, can be seen at the grays harbor sheriff department. I don't play games, or ever will. She was always good to me, don't know what I did wrong. Except for being disabled and a chronic disease that causes my life to be destroyed. Now I have no hope left. Really don't think I can hold on much longer. Now, I know that I won't. So, I fell through the cracks.

Honestly they are not in the health care industry they are in it for the profit. They could care less how much your in pain or what you need. Your just a dollar sign that they schedule months out for an appointment just cause the Dr you were seeing quit, and now somehow you're a new patient and have to wait 4 months for an appointment.. called after having a teladoc appt and needed referral for an x-ray, got told go to ER we don't have the time for you.

I have dealt with sea mar and the communication between front and back office is horrible treatment is worse. Patient confidentiality is a joke by front desk. Opening letters meant for the doctor. So many violations. Lies to cover up things. If you become your own advocate you will pay the raft. I am a shame of my profession.
