About The Salvation Army Fresno Adult Rehabilitation Center

The Salvation Army’s Adult Rehabilitation Center- Fresno is for individuals who are willing to participate in a residential work therapy program that provides spiritual, social, and emotional assistance to better their lives. The Fresno, California program is 180 days in length.

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center- Fresno location provides residential, outpatient, and 12 Step focused recovery.

The Salvation Army- Adult Rehab is a 180 day program at no cost for those who meet eligibility requirements. This program requests a six month commitment to assist participants in creating new, healthy patterns in their lives. To qualify, detoxification must have already taken place. No sex offenders will be allowed to participate and those with serious mental health diagnoses are not suitable for this program. The program requires each participant to work eight hours a day and to participate in groups and classes.

The intensive outpatient program offered by The Salvation Army is a step down from residential treatment and it is most suitable for those looking to continue their treatment with less supervision. The program’s approach is a 12 Step, abstinent model that requires a commitment to living a life of recovery. Given this program allows treatment to happen with schedule flexibility, work responsibilities, family responsibilities, and personal responsibilities can still take place around treatment.

The 12 Step program is a common recovery model based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a plan for recovery based in a Higher Power. Middle steps include self-examination and making amends to those who’ve been hurt by the addiction. The later steps include continuing to take personal inventory while living a life of recovery and supporting others in doing the same. Additional 12 Step groups include Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) Gamblers Anonymous (GA), to name a few.

This drug program is a joke. They just make up the rules as they go or change them whenever it is convenient for them. The people who work there are incompetent, idiots who barely graduated their sorry excuse for a program yesterday. All they care about is the money they make off of making people work for free. Just plain greedy people smh

God really blessed my life through this place and healed me. I won't say it's easy because there's work involved in healing but I really had the time of my life living in community with brothers and sisters and serving a greater purpose by working in the warehouse. Excellent food and sparkling clean facility as well. God's Love is present in this place and miracles happen here. God bless the Salvation Army.

Absolutely best thing I ve done in my life, FOR my life! Those that have left negative reviews are not ready to surrender. Including the family ;-) We joked in the program that ARC didn t stand for Adult Rehabilitation Center - it stands for always ready for change . And it s TRUE!! I learned surrender there. Surrender to things I didn t agree with. Guess what, I m not in charge!! Salvation Army s not in charge either, GOD IS. But He works through Salvation Army to teach VALUABLE life lessons. Those that get kicked out or family members that are upset - aren t ready to learn. To submit. The ego is still large & in charge. And that s ok. Everyone s timing is different! I m SO glad God used Salvation Army to get my attention before it was too late. I don t take one day for granted. Grateful to be alive!!
