My stay here was really good, the staff helped me a lot. But one thing I would say is that it s always hard to get someone to help but thankfully Mr C was able to help. And they need to work on the food put some good seasoning in there

My mother was transferred to another room, how did they NOT put her 2 blankets here with her every thing packed but her blankets. This place is cold and how you take something that does not belong to you. Whoever this housekeeper that cleaned her room you need to be ashamed of yourself from taking from someone, you are a thief and should be locked up. My mother is elderly and you felt comfortable enough to take from her shame on you, you thief. I wish I could see you.

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

When you choose drug rehab in New York, you'll participate in a variety of treatments that are designed to help you live a drug-free lifestyle. Common methods of treatment include group, individual, and family counseling, medication management, nutrition, exercise, and management of co-occurring mental health disorders.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

It's taken me some time to leave this review because of the heartache this facility caused me and my family. On March 30, 2024, my mother had an incident where she coded, CPR was performed, her lung collapsed and I only came to find out all of this was going on when the hospital called me asking permission to have a procedure done on my mother. I come to learn my mother was alone in the hospital for over 7 hours because the rehab center never notified me. Once the hospital called them to ask why wasn't my mother's family notified, they called me 10 minutes later - which was 7 hours and 10 minutes too late. When I asked one of the supervisors why wasn't I notified, a lady (Ms. Pillar) I believe her name is - told me in a very condescending way that perhaps they were busy. I don't accept that as a valid excuse. I went from being addressed by my first name to being addressed by my last name. My mother was never the same after that incident and my hope is that no other family ever experiences this situation where their loved one undergoes such a critical moment in their life and the family is simply not notified. A 10 second phone call would have sufficed. I hope this facility does better with their communication and compassion. They most certainly failed my mother.

The facility is very nice and clean compared to the hospitals. The staffs was amazing there were some bad apples but overall it was a great experience. The food is horrible they really need to work on that, the ac system could use some work and the rehab should be more fast paced especially with younger resident. I would recommended but they really need to work on thone issue especially with the type of community they're in.

If I were only giving a review of the nurses that take care of the patients I would give 5 stars, the only reason they get two stars is because of the nurses and care team that take care of the patients. My father had surgery on his leg and needed to be transferred to a rehabilitation center. I went with the Brooklyn Rehabilitation Center because Gary sold me on how great the place and staff was. How we would be helped throughout the whole process. That was a lie.The only things nice about the place is the actual facility and the care team. They took excellent care while my dad was there for 2 weeks. When it was time to discharge that s when the nightmares started. We were told by Ms.Ford the social worker that she ensures the patients go home with the proper equipment if needed and care team. My dad has been home a week, no home attendant no physical therapy. If we aren t chasing down people with phone calls we receive no updates. The initial phone calls go well, you express that communication is key and they tell you yes they will let you know what is going on; that doesn t happen. The administration s needs to do better. Do not choose this place unless you know everything that needs to be done. And do not require any assistance.

Food wasn't that great but if you can get past that you will have an amazing stay. Therapy is the best out of all departments and the patient advocate always look out for you even if it's something as little as making sure you're being treated fairly

Just found out that my mother Margarita P who has been housed in Unit #1 for approximatelyTwo years is being released to her home during these two years this facility has not even attempted to rehabilitate her in any shape or form she has medically declined during her stay I personally visited her during the week of May 2024 and I couldn t believe what I witnessed she was bedridden and weighed about 68 pounds and today administration and Doctors are falsifying her medical records by stating that she weighs 75 pounds and is completely rehabilitated this practice is unethical and sending her home will only shorten her lifespan I will continue to look into this matter and monitor my mothers condition I can t believe that this facility would discharge someone home who is at the final stage of her disease Iwill advise anyone who has a love one at this facility to try and find an alternate facility where they will receive proper care.JuanP.
