Please, when considering this facility. Take into account their may be a few disgruntled patients that gave low stars purely based on being held for their own good. I started my journey at this facility with that mindset. However, the staff and fellow patients quickly turned my experience around for the better. They're kind, caring, compassionate and genuinely have our best interest at heart. Of course, some staff were frazzled but..can you imagine what their job would be like? I was honestly surprised more of them weren't. If you have a loved one struggling with mental illness or just life in general. I'd HIGHLY suggest this facility. Or if you're simply reading this and have the means to donate anything. Please do, this place changed my life and they deserve to be around for a great while longer!

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Levels of Care

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Treatments

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Programs

Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
seniors-program thumbnail image
Seniors Program
Nearly one million adults age 65 and older live with a substance use disorder. Treatment providers who specialize in senior care understand the social, psychological, and physical effects of aging and how they relate to recovery. They can help clients address particular challenges and risks they may face as they get older such as overdosing and medication interactions and dependencies.
hearing-impaired-program thumbnail image
Hearing Impaired Program
A sensory disability, such as hearing impairment, can compound the challenges of addiction recovery. Drug rehabs that are specially designed to accommodate the needs of persons with hearing impairments will include special accessibility features and accommodations to make treatment as comfortable and effective as possible. This may include access to American Sign Language interpreters.
hiv-aids-program thumbnail image
HIV/AIDS Program
HIV/AIDS programs support disease prevention and management in high-risk individuals in recovery. Individuals who engage in intravenous drug use and other addictive behaviors are at a higher risk of becoming infected with HIV. Rehab centers that specialize in treating this population typically have a high number of nurses, physicians, and psychiatrists on staff who can make sure both their medical and mental health needs are met.
lgbtq-program thumbnail image
LGBTQ Program
Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.
military-program thumbnail image
Military Program
Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

Men and women in Idaho may choose a customized drug and alcohol treatment approach using individual therapy. This focuses your attention on the unique challenges in your life and helps you understand the triggers and stressors that increase your risk of drug use. You develop healthier coping strategies to promote sustainable sobriety.

Recreational therapy is typically included in a holistic approach to drug and alcohol addiction treatment. It integrates activities like hiking, team sports, and art to improve physical fitness, provide an emotional outlet, and improve your social connections with others. These are skills you need to rebuild your life and maintain your sobriety.

I have been a patient here off and on for 2 decades and would really appreciate more compassionate psychiatric technicians, nurses that checked in on you to have continuity of care, and social services that provided the same and set you up with outpatient services that are wrap-around after inpatient treatment. They lack speciality in addictions, and substance uses, and their classes are uneducational for the majority of them and therefore repetitive. It certainly shows, along with other psychiatric hospitals why Idaho ranks among the last in mental health care.

This place diagnosed me with three different mental health issues(GAD,Bipolar,Schizoaffective-bipolar type) in less then a year.I m right now seeing mental health professionals in tri cities,Wa and tell them everything.I contacted all the hospitals I have been at to give copies of my medical records.I have been seeing the same mental health professionals for almost a year and they diagnosed me with Bipolar with unspecified psychosis. The people I see to get help me with mental health issues have a hard time diagnosing me with schizoaffective-bipolar type, because I don t hallucinate(I never see or hear things.)I m currently taking ability with Wellbutrin.I also found out that I have audio processing disorder and the hearing doctor said I might have ADHD.So I invested to see a Psychologist and he told me I have a learning disability or neurological deficit. He also told me I have ADHD.I was homeless and hospitalized in three different states.Through out my life I had more than 10 diagnoses.Just took a picture of my current diagnosis,I just got my results from a Psychologist a couple of days ago-so updating my review.I honestly don t care what people think of me,because a mental health is just a label and doctors go back and fourth on my diagnosis.

Mocked for whistleblowing poor, and illegal medical services. Unfortunately they DO offer shock therapy for any and all. WILL lie to hide it. Better off just living whatever illness instead

This review is about the pediatric unit here. I am so thankful for them. They create a safe place for the kids to talk, they play with them, their interactions with them seem to be so sweet. And their endless patience with all my phone calls and questions, and always having answers, and showing that they were truly invested in getting to know the kids in ways that were appropriate to help them in any way they can was so reassuring. Even after my child was discharged, we had a tough moment and I called and spoke to both Andy and Trevor and they were so calm and gentle and gave the support they could to the best of their ability. Terri was the first one I spoke to there when filling out the initial paperwork and she handled my tears and general trainwreck-self like a champ. She was filled with so much compassion and gentleness and it really made me feel like my son was in a safe place. Trent, the social worker is AMAZING. I am so thankful for his insight and his work at finding different local services that could help us, but also just taking time to get to know my kid and really investing in helping my child and helping my husband and I coming up with some game plans, and making some suggestions. The whole team is really committed to helping these kids and I am forever grateful for them. The decision to have your child stay in a place like this is the hardest decision a parent can make. I am so thankful that it worked out well. And I am so thankful for the team there and their hard work and their care for the kiddos, that turned this situation into a good, growing experience.*edited to add* and I can't forget Dylan! She was quick to act when I had a potential medical concern, and thoroughly checked and took care of my concern! I had a question to ask after my child was discharged and when my child heard that I was talking to Dylan, said child wanted to just chat with her, and she willing engaged in conversation.**edit** sadly, i just called because my son had left some books there after his stay. I spoke to dylan, and despite the pleasant experience with her previously, when I called today she was quite cold and uncaring. Very disappointed in her demeanor after the experience I had while my son was inpatient and I was visiting. hopefully she isn't one to only pretend to care when parents are watching. I had to take a star off because of her attitude.
