It was A nice rehabilitation center. I had family around me which made it a little more comfortable. I thought that A month would be enough for me. I missed my kids. I made every excuse why I did not need more time in recovery. Truth is you do. Stay with it. It is a great place.

I'm only giving a one star because there isn't an option to give zero. The "office manager", Danielle Driggs, is extremely unprofessional and rude and lacks the basic knowledge to provide to potential new patients for intake and admission questions. This was enough to understand that this would most definitely not be a suitable fit for our loved one to receive the care they desperately need. If they run their program the same way they run the intake and admission process, what a horrible experience for those in the program. Stay away!

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
12-step icon12-Step
Participants engaged in 12 step programs receive intensive peer coaching (sponsorship) and community support. Spiritual development as a means of achieving psychological and emotional healing and growth is the cornerstone of 12 step recovery, but religious affiliations are not required. Meetings are free, anonymous, and open to the public, though specialized formats are available, including groups for seniors, teens, and family members. Evening, night, and day meetings are conducted year-round in most communities.
sober-living iconSober Living Homes
Sober Living Houses (SLHs), aka sober homes or halfway houses, are safe, substance-free, supportive living facilities for those recovering from substance abuse. Ideal for those who've just been through inpatient or outpatient treatment, SLHs are supervised environments with rules that support sobriety, such as curfews, shared chores, and therapeutic meetings. Residents are also often trained on life skills and coping skills to make it easier to transition into society. SLHs also provide a strong sense of community that can lead to the kind of deep and lasting connections with other sober individuals that supports a new, healthy lifestyle.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in California teaches participants constructive ways to stay clean and sober. Treatment revolves around helping individuals stop using the substance they are addicted to and learn healthy habits to avoid relapse.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

During group therapy, men and women learn to express their emotions openly in a non judgmental setting. This helps you process your feelings and reduces feelings of social isolation that are often associated with addiction.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Family therapy offers a platform for members to have an open dialogue about the challenges that addiction has placed on the family unit. Through guided sessions, therapists can help families develop healthy communication skills and address unresolved issues. By working together toward a common goal, they help to support their loved one's sobriety.

Saved my life in 2000. I was the 2nd set of.women to ever go through. Lynn Skaggs, Lynda...Fred cooked and Rod did the TL and Theresa was a counselor there then. I spent some time above the office as for a short time it was TL. Most of the rules were written because of me haha. Anyway, it was like heaven for me. Some women claimed to see angels in the rooms.

What makes these people unique are the counselors who work here. They are kind, patient, compassionate and understanding. They truly put all of themselves into their work. Somehow, they foster an enduring sense of community and healing, essential but so elusive for people just getting off alcohol and drugs...Do not judge this place by its humble appearance, the grounds are well maintained and the food very good, but those things are not why you should go to rehab. Go for the people who will meet you where you're at, accept you as you are and help you take the first few difficult steps out of the abyss of addiction.Years later I still see seeds sprouting from conversations I had while there, almost three years ago. I am a better man for having been there in ways that were not initially clear to me.Framework/curriculum is largely AA. If that's not your thing, consider going here anyhow, whether or not you end up in a 12 step program later on (I did) the essential material is still absolutely helpful.

I've known a few people who have stayed at River City and if someone relapses less than two months after being discharged and you just welcome them back in, then something is wrong. People who are parents should not be encouraged to take a months long siesta from their life and children. Outpatient treatment should be recommended. Give them the necessary tools and resources to cope while at home. Kids are traumatized and families are broken. Stop encouraging people to take a time out from life and instead try a different treatment plan catered to his or her situation.

The staff is great and know what they re doing!! Neil, Shawn, Eric, Evan, Paul, Victor and Danny are the 97 Bulls!! I may have to relapse some day just to get to stay again!!

I have been sober for 25 years thanks to this place. It was a different location with the transition house a few blocks away. Fred was in charge back then. Im very grateful for the staff and treatment I had during the few months I was there. RCR helped me establish a foundation that I built upon to remain sober to this day.

Moved into the sle after treatment. The house mom was very unwelcoming and often said things that made me feel uncomfortable. They tried to lie about my drug test saying I was positive for everything when the results were negative. I felt bullied there and only stayed 2 months as it was not a good fit for me. The house mom basically told me I should move out since I spent a majority of time out of the house. It felt like the older residents did not want younger people living there. Very hostile environment. I wouldn t recommend this place to anyone
