outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

inpatient iconInpatient

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

aftercare iconAftercare

Rehab aftercare programs offer clients in addiction recovery a robust continuum of care after clients have completed active treatment. These services address recovery as a life-long process and are designed to evolve with clients' changing needs. Clients may partner with their case managers and/or addiction recovery team to identify the rehab aftercare services that are right for them. They may receive career counseling, housing assistance, peer coaching, 12 step program induction, among many other services.

12-step icon12-Step

12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).

sober-living iconSober Living Homes

Sober Living Houses (SLHs), aka sober homes or halfway houses, are safe, substance-free, supportive living facilities for those recovering from substance abuse. Ideal for those who've just been through inpatient or outpatient treatment, SLHs are supervised environments with rules that support sobriety, such as curfews, shared chores, and therapeutic meetings. Residents are also often trained on life skills and coping skills to make it easier to transition into society. SLHs also provide a strong sense of community that can lead to the kind of deep and lasting connections with other sober individuals that supports a new, healthy lifestyle.

heart-hands iconIntervention Services

Intervention services helps family or friends of addicts stage an intervention, which is a meeting in which loved ones share their concerns and attempt to get an addict into treatment. Professional intervention specialists can help loved ones organize, gather, and communicate with an addict. They can guide intervention participants in describing the damage the addict's behavior is causing and that outside help is necessary to address the addiction. The ideal outcome of an intervention is for the addict to go to rehab and get the help they need

partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program

A partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a short-term form of intensive rehab, usually for those with acute symptoms that are hard to manage but don’t require 24-hour care. PHPs have structured programming (i.e. individual and/or group therapy), and usually meet 3-5 days a week for around 6 hours (i.e. 9am-3m). Some PHPs are residential (patients sleep on site) and some are not, so patients sleep at home. PHPs can last from 1-6 months, and some offer transportation and meals.

24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care

During the first phase of recovery – detox – it is crucial to have 24-hour clinical care in California. This care provides constant monitoring in order to ensure your safely and comfort as you progress through the withdrawal process for drug or alcohol addiction. Licensed professionals prescribe medications to treat withdrawal symptoms and provide frequent monitoring to ensure your safely as addictive toxins leave your system.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal. The length of stay at the detoxification program is determined according to the specific needs of the patient.

alcohol iconAlcoholism

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

check iconDual Diagnosis

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

substance-abuse iconSubstance Abuse

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

inpatient-file iconCognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

dialectical iconDialectical Behavior Therapy

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

intervention iconGroup Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

mental-health iconIndividual Therapy

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

desert iconMotivational Interviewing

For clients who are struggling with ambivalence toward change, motivational interviewing in California can help strengthen their commitment to change. Using a conversational method, the therapist helps you explore your motivations and empowers you to make the changes you desire.

house-medical iconTrauma Therapy

family iconFamily Therapy

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

life-skills iconLife Skills

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Restore is one of the best programs in Los Angeles. I loved the small setting of a maximum of 12 people during the detox and residential treatment. The staff at Restore are amazing and truly care for their clients. From he techs, Omid, Theresa, Vanessa, Elmer, and Senna are all amazing people. The administrator s, group leaders and counselors, Nicole, Sarah, Heather, William, Ron, Art, and Hailee are extremely gifted at their jobs. This treatment center and the staff listed above have changed my life completely. This program has given me every tool available and set me up for a successful recovery. They have impacted my life for the better and i will never forget the experience and knowledge i gained here. In this program i was able to lay a solid foundation in my recovery and form a solid sober support system with my peers and from fellow alcoholics at meetings as well. Thank you Restore and stay awesome!

I had a great experience at Restore. I recently completed the program and am so grateful for the techs, group facilitators, counselors and peers that I met while at the detox, residential and PHP facilities. If you are truly ready to get sober, then this is a great program to start your new life in sobriety. The staff members are almost entirely in recovery themselves, and make an effort to listen to the client s needs and take action accordingly. There is a healthy mix of peer interaction, group and individual therapy, and the partial hospitalization program (PHP) does a lot to provide useful tools for the clients in areas such as relationship management, relapse prevention, self-awareness, dealing with triggers and understanding the effects that drugs have on the brain and body. The disease of addiction/alcoholism is cunning, baffling, and powerful. At restore, the team truly gives a great effort and does their absolute best to help the clients arrest the disease and make recovery truly possible. I wouldn t be equipped to deal with the pressures of the real world without drugs if it wasn t for the excellent help I received while at Restore.

This place has saved my live! All of the staff have been extremely supportive and caring. The treatment process has provided me a new life. I am very grateful for everyone apart of my process as it has truly changed me for the better. The community and facilities are awesome. If you are thinking of seeking treatment I would 100% recommend Restore. I can't wait to come back and visit everyone once I leave and show everyone how far I have come.

This place is an absolute LIE!!! First, they lie on the phone saying you can stay 30 days, they tell you you'll be in a really nice house but don't tell you that the detox facility is like jail. They tell you detox is 3-5 days, but it is actually 15-25. It all depends on how much your insurance will pay. So, if your perfectly able to leave detox and go to PHP, they won't let you if your insurance will pay for you to stay longer. Complete money grab. Even my case worker admitted it. The staff is actually really nice, and they know that their bosses only care about the money. I saw people climb the fence to get out, only to be on the street homeless because Restore held their stuff hostage. One guy called 911 to have the cops come because he wanted to leave because of all the lies. i ended up staying 22 days in detox because i had good insurance, when i could have left in 3 days. it's only when you threaten them with legal action that they acquiesce. Don't sign ANYTHING!! Also, even the "big house" is tatally run down and nothing like the pictures or how they describe it. They'll pick you up from the airport in a Cadillac, making your think you're going to a 5 star place, but you end up in a flop house and when you leave, they dump you at the nearest shuttle stop to the airport.

Was lied to constantly....went to a NA meeting in the park.... they loaded up and left me, when I finally got to the office, they forgot and Mr again and I didn't get lunch... thought It was an isolated event... but I was wrong....the very next day they forgot me again and still no lunch....I was told to eat cold 3 day old chicken...my insurance pays 3100 a day for my stay, I do not recommend this place.... they are body brokers, they don't care about people just the money insurance pays...I refuse to let my insurance to continue to pay them! The worst part, they said it was my fault they left me... like seriously? What is wrong with people?

This place does have a few good things to offer, however it receives one star from me because they lied about the level of care my loved one would receive. We were led to believe this was the best dual-diagnosis facility we would find and then flew across the county based on promises that were not true. If your loved one need mental health care as well as treatment for substance abuse, this is not the place. My loved one s medication regimen seems to be worse than when they went to this place and now that they are home we are still looking for help. I think we have found a place that will deliver on treatment in the Florida recovery center at University of Florida thanks to information from medical professionals at our local hospitals.Do more research and don t allow these people to prey on your vulnerability.Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere.

I think this place COULD have been good. BUT the guy who set it up for me lied about almost 100%. If you want leave because you are there by will DO NOT sign the the 24 hour hold on your own stuff. I had to freeze and almost not make it for no food out the facility oh the streets of LA for 24 hours. The staff is not professional all former addicts not medically license professionals. There is some staff who thing there tough and gangster but really not about it. I had a better experience in state prison than I did at this facility.

In retrospect I really enjoyed this facility. The education is really really good. I reference it daily and I ve been sober 8 months now! The housing though somewhat unusual is really transformative and sets this facility apart from others. You get to be with your recovery community 24/7 which is surprisingly wonderful. You have everything you need in that house including large rooms, a gym, a pool and sauna, laundry, 24 hr support and like Hulu and Netflix. The staff is beyond amazing. They are very personable and really will handle situations that arise(because they do).The schedule though grueling at times is great too(I miss it). Oh gosh the CHEFS! The meals are controversial but I enjoyed them and if that s what you re complaining about in life then you re doing pretty well. My case manager was beyond amazing he felt like a friend. They all kind of felt like friends not just like they work there. One thing that sets this apart from other places is that they listen to you and genuinely care(I took that for granted there) and it doesn t matter the color of your skin, sex or sexuality. I wish I could do it again but with a positive attitude.I d highly recommend to people especially minorities.
