About Resolutions Substance Abuse Services – Keokuk Street

Resolutions Substance Abuse Services – Keokuk Street, located in Iowa City, Iowa, specializes in the treatment of substance use disorder and offers services through a person-centered approach to treatment.

Resolutions Substance Abuse Services- Keokuk Street provides outpatient treatment.

Outpatient treatment programming is a more flexible approach to addiction treatment that is a step down from partial hospitalization programs and intensive outpatient programs. This service provides continued support for addiction recovery through individual therapy, group therapy, and educational classes on addiction and recovery. Medications may be managed and for those in need, trauma support may also be offered. The goal is to continue to move toward a life of recovery and a suitable aftercare treatment plan that allows for reintegration back into society.

Individual therapy creates the space to explore the psychological challenges associated with the addiction. With the help of a professional, individuals are given the space and direction to talk about and process their emotions. Often this includes unresolved trauma, anger, depression, anxiety, and the need for more control or autonomy in life.

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient programs are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. Resolutions is strictly an outpatient treatment facility. This type of treatment allows individuals to receive necessary substance abuse treatment while still being able to be involved with their day to day life.

heart-hands iconIntervention Services

Intervention Services helps family or friends of addicts stage an intervention, which is a meeting in which loved ones share their concerns and attempt to get an addict into treatment. Professional intervention specialists can help loved ones organize, gather, and communicate with an addict. If you are concerned about a loved one's substance use, Resolutions will assist you with the addicted person by setting up an intervention in order to help the person struggling with substance use.

aftercare iconAftercare Support

Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Heart icon Treatment

alcohol iconAlcoholism

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

drugs iconDrug Addiction

Drug rehab in Iowa is available in many formats. A variety of inpatient and outpatient options provide programs that are tailored to individual needs, making recovery possible for everyone.

check iconDual Diagnosis

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

substance-abuse iconSubstance Abuse

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

family iconFamily Therapy

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

intervention iconGroup Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

mental-health iconIndividual Therapy

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

I paid for a Substance Abuse Evaluation here and that was 7 months ago. They never sent my completion form into the DOT and now they just hang up on me whenever I call to get this resolved. Incredibly unprofessional! DO NOT GO THERE FOR YOUR OWN SAKE!

This place is a joke. The lady that did the evaluation was completely unprofessional babbling about her kids most of the time. Recommended treatment When she was the one who needed help to get more money Out of me

The worst place is this... they are not just good for charging, they are good... BE CAREFUL, friends, not just because they speak Spanish, attend here because you do your classes and everything and they never send a report to the DOT that you have met there have already been several victims.

Ruuuuuudeeeeee. The lady that works there sits there and judges you the entire time. They called and asked why I haven t been in for treatment, I said I would be going elsewhere for treatment, and she was SO. RUDE. and hung up on me mid-sentence. They just want your money. An older man (I m assuming) also called me trying to almost force me to come in and sign up, I couldn t understand a word he was saying and I got so frustrated I was like sure and ended the conversation. So unprofessional, I felt weird the whole time I was in there. I definitely will never be back! I have friends that have agreed and decided to go elsewhere, and have had much better experiences! They don t care about helping you. They care about recommending you an insane amount of treatment and watching you pay for it.

Worse company I've ever had to deal with, they kicked me out cause I basically wouldn't admit I was an alcoholic for the first step, which aren't they supposed to help you do? My work ethic cause my username has the word "a**" in it!?? Basically this company will judge you for whatever you do and say and they will sit you in a circle and ask "so how do you feel" and then you answer and then they ask "so how do you feel" about your answer. They provide no actual help, I failed my first drug test there and it was game over for them. They don't wanna help, they just want your money. There is a reason the counselors are like 23 years old, cause they can't afford real trained counselors with long term expierence.
