About Resilient Health

Resilient Health - 23rd Avenue Youth & Family is a mental health and substance abuse rehabilitation center in Phoenix, Arizona. Their programs are designed to help clients achieve sustainable recovery by helping them develop resilience. They serve clients of all ages.

Resilient Health utilizes a wide array of evidence-based methods and services to help clients identify the underlying causes of their symptoms. Programs emphasize clients’ choosing the treatment services they want to participate in, creating a personal care experience. Services include outpatient treatment, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), and supportive housing.

The outpatient program is designed for clients with mild symptoms that don’t require around-the-clock supervision. Clients visit the center on a fixed schedule to participate in treatment. Outpatient services are available both in person and through telehealth.

Clients help design their treatment plans with Resilience Health’s available services. These include evaluations, counseling in individual, group, and family settings, peer support groups, medication monitoring, and primary care services. Clients with severe symptoms may be referred to other treatment centers.

MAT is the use of prescription medication to assist in the treatment process. MAT is only used if an evaluation determines it is safe to do so. All medication use in MAT is closely monitored.

Resilience Health also offers supportive housing programs for clients who have recently completed treatment and those in unstable living situations.

Before applying for a treatment program, clients should confirm coverage with their insurance plan, as in network and out of network benefits may vary.

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Intensive inpatient programs (IOP) offer high-level support for clients in early recovery, those exiting detox or inpatient rehabs, and those at an elevated risk of relapse. Intensive outpatient treatment typically includes rigorous individual, group, and family counseling. Evidence-based complementary therapies, such as acupuncture and massage, are widely available. Medication assisted treatment (MAT) may be provided. Clients in IOP receive a minimum of nine hours of treatment per week but may engage in up to 20 treatment hours weekly.

Known as medically assisted detox, this level of care is typically in an inpatient setting with a team of medical experts that may include doctors, nurses, and mental health clinicians. Medications like Suboxone, methadone, or Vivitrol may be administered to help alleviate withdrawal symptoms.
