About Holy Redeemer Hospital

Holy Redeemer Hospital is a 239-bed facility that provides many medical services to Meadowbrook, Pennsylvania residents. They offer emergency services as well as inpatient and outpatient care including behavioral health.

Their outpatient program is offered through Philmont Guidance Center. They are staffed with marriage and family therapists, licensed counselors, social workers, psychiatrists and psychologists to work together to get you the care and healing you’re in need of. You’ll get a custom treatment plan that might include age-specific counseling groups and various types of individual or family therapies.

Inpatient care for mental health concerns include treatment for PTSD, substance abuse, anxiety including panic attacks, domestic violence, impact of disability or medical illness and many other concerns.

If you’re not sure if you qualify or need treatment, you can speak to a behavioral health specialist. They will listen with compassion and discuss the treatment options available.

I like that this hospital has an app to give loved ones information about how the hospital care is going. This app is called EASE and will send updates to any mobile device you choose.

Holy Redeemer Hospital is part of Redeemer Health. This is a Catholic health system that focuses on providing care, comfort and healing following the example of Jesus Christ. They offer pastoral care as part of their services.

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient rehabs specialize in providing comprehensive care for clients who choose to remain in their homes and communities during treatment. Their services may include transitional support for clients stepping down from intensive inpatient programming. Ambulatory medical detox may be provided for clients at low risk for withdrawal complications. Many programs include evening, night, and weekend services to accommodate clients who are working professionals or caregivers. Addiction counseling and life skills training are common treatment modalities.

inpatient iconInpatient

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Clients engaged in intensive outpatient programs (IOP) live and work in their home community while receiving frequent, high-level care. These programs offer personalized care designed to evolve with the clients' changing needs. Many intensive outpatient rehabs require a minimum of nine hours of treatment per week, but high-risk clients and those in early recovery may receive up to 20 hours of care weekly. IOP services generally include addiction counseling, recovery education, and holistic therapies, such as massage.

aftercare iconAftercare

Clients receiving services from a rehab aftercare program are usually stable and in the maintenance phase of recovery, having completed detox and/or intensive inpatient treatment. Rehab aftercare services can vary widely based on clients' individual and evolving needs, but often include peer coaching, relapse prevention support, 12 step program induction, and medical, mental health, and social service referrals. Individual care plans are typically developed by the client in partnership with their case manager and care team.

heart-hands iconIntervention Services

Intervention services bring extensive experience to the planning and conducting of drug interventions in Pennsylvania. These experts can facilitate interventions in a sensitive manner that encourages positive outcomes. The goal of the intervention is to educate the individual about addiction and the consequences of their substance use and encourage them to get the treatment they need. Interventions can be effective with all types of drugs and alcohol addiction.

partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program

With a partial hospitalization program (PHP), you can participate in intensive rehabilitation treatment with the ability to return home at the end of the day. For a weekly minimum of 20 hours, a partial hospitalization program can take place up to 5 days a week for an average of 90 days. During PHP treatment, you can receive relapse prevention strategies, medication management, individual and group therapy, and other behavioral therapy interventions.

24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care

Because the severity of withdrawal symptoms can fluctuate, constant monitoring under 24-hour clinical care in Pennsylvania is recommended for early recovery. As you undergo detox, medical staff will supervise your health and ensure severe symptoms do not develop or threaten your life. Professional counselors will also be available to treat mental and emotional health needs.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

A medical detox is the safest way to wean your body off drugs and/or alcohol in an inpatient setting. When detoxing from addictive substances, the physical and psychological side effects of withdrawal can cause mood swings, anxiety, nausea, or flu-like symptoms. In medically assisted detox, a team of medical professionals are on hand 24/7 to help alleviate potential withdrawal symptoms, administer medications to alleviate withdrawal symptoms, and ultimately keep you safe and comfortable throughout this process.

Drug rehab in Pennsylvania is devoted to the treatment of addiction. Levels of care, treatment methods, and settings differ, but the aim of each program is to end drug dependency and empower participants to achieve long-term recovery.

check iconDual Diagnosis

Pennsylvania's specialized dual-diagnosis addiction treatment programs prioritize comprehensive care for individuals with co-occurring substance use disorders and mental health conditions. Providing various levels of care, including outpatient, inpatient, and partial hospitalization, dual-diagnosis experts use evidence-based therapies, recovery support groups, and education to treat both disorders, promote mental health, and improve your quality of life.

mental-health iconMental Health and Substance Abuse

In Pennsylvania, dual-diagnosis rehabs specialize in providing comprehensive care for individuals facing both mental health and substance abuse challenges. These facilities offer personalized treatment plans, integrating evidence-based therapies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and experiential therapy. Other recovery services, like 12-Step meetings, skills training, educational groups, and an aftercare plan will enhance your odds of long-term recovery.

inpatient-file iconCognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

dialectical iconDialectical Behavior Therapy

Dialectical behavior therapy in Pennsylvania is an evidence based technique that involves group therapy, individual therapy, and phone coaching. Group sessions focus on learning behavioral skills. Individual therapy gives you the opportunity to apply what you're learning to your personal situations. Phone coaching allows you to call your therapist during the week for help with challenging situations.

intervention iconGroup Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

mental-health iconIndividual Therapy

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

desert iconMotivational Interviewing

Motivational interviewing in Pennsylvania gives you the opportunity to share your perspective and explore your ideas and motivation for change. Your therapist will walk you through the four steps of engaging, focusing, evoking, and planning to empower you to make any desired changes in your life.

house-medical iconTrauma Therapy

It is important to process the impact that traumatic experiences have had on your life. During trauma therapy, you and an experienced therapist confront these experiences and the emotional impact it is had. This helps to reduce your symptoms of stress and anxiety and improve your overall mental health and well being.

couples-therapy iconCouples Therapy

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

family iconFamily Therapy

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

medical-detox iconExperiential Therapy

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

I brought my girlfriend to Jefferson Methodist hospital because she had COVID and was starting to get symptoms of pneumonia. We were there from 11:00A.M-5:00P.M. They did NOTHING for her. She told MULTIPLE staff members that her symptoms were escalating and they told her to sit down and wait to be called . These people can care less and it showed. Took her to Holy Redeemer and she was seen and taken in LESS THAN ten minutes. Staff were nice and caring people. Never had a bad experience from the multiple times we have came to Holy Redeemer, WORTH THE DRIVE.

I am really satisfied with my delivery experience on Sept. 4th at Holy Redeemer. I was scheduled for an induction and the nurses(Yuval Weiss, Heather and Shannon) ,doctors were amazing and supportive throughout the whole process. I felt super calm and safe during my visit. The team was really communicative and committed to me being informed about all steps that they were going to take during my delivery. Thank you for making such an experience excellent and memorable for me and my family.I had the same amazing experience during my post-partum phase. All of staff from doctors; nurses(Stephanie), techs(Ornela) and even janitors(Parashqevi) were amazing in all they did for me and my newborn throughout my stay.

The assigned nurse Jason in the cardiac unit chose not to inform me that my discharge order was signed at 12:09PM, rather chose to lie when asked why I was not being prepared for discharge at 1:00PM. He instead decided to argue with me until my sister-in-law phoned at approximately 2:00PM, at which point he printed out my discharge paperwork.Of course as a person who suffered a heart attack late last week and received 4 stents from Sunday to Tuesday, I was not taken to the patient pick-up via wheel chair, rather allowed to walk from the cardiac unit on the third floor to the pickup area, hoping my ride was there. This was an unfortunate experience, given the cardiologists, and other cardiac nurses provided excellent care. However, I would not take the risk of every utilizing Holy Redeemer again.

I had a knee replacement August 14, 2014. I have never had care before like Holy Redeemer. Unbelievable care. Erd floor, surgery team is like no other. My whole experience from start to finish was perfect. They treated me like family! I will go back when I'm able and personally thank everyone who cared for me. I'm sold. They are where I'm going to change all my docs to their practices!

I was very impressed with the service and care my mother-in-law received at Holy Redeemer Hospital. She was there for some pre-surgery test. Everyone that took care of her was very friendly. Special shout out to Susan in Nuclear Medicine and Patty, who was able to get my MIL an appointment for her echocardiogram while we were already there. I didn't use valet parking but one of the attendants was nice enough to help Mom get in the car.

I decided to change my OBGYN when I was in my seventh month of pregnancy, I was tired of the bad experience I was having in Jefferson Einstein OBGYN I really tried to be patient with them over months having to suffer racism because I m a foreigner, their lack of courtesy, unkindness and more but it came a point when it was just too much when the nurse practitioner who used to see me lied about some facts like my health insurance wasn t going to cover my ultrasound when IT WASN T TRUE!! I called my insurance next day and they said I had full coverage and that it was ok with them!!!I wasn t really happy so I came to the conclusions that despite of that I really deserved to enjoy this unique experience in my life (it s my first pregnancy) so then thanks to my health insurance I got to find Holy Reedemer Hospital.. It s been the BEST experience I could ever ask for!! I feel very happy I took that decision, I wouldn t hesitate to recommend them to anyone!!
