About Rehab After Work

High Focus Treatment Centers used to be called Rehab After Work. They are based in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania. They have outpatient programs for adults, with different tracks for men and women. There’s also an intensive outpatient program for teens ages 14-18.

For adults, outpatient programs can consist of partial hospitalization, which is a day program that meets every weekday for four hours per session. This program can include cognitive behavioral therapy and commitment therapy. These approaches are used to address any underlying health conditions under your addiction. A descaled alternative is intensive outpatient care, which reduces the lengths of sessions.

Women may not feel comfortable in a mixed gender setting. A woman’s only program is designed around women’s issues, such as trauma, abuse, and PTSD. This track can help you develop stronger coping mechanisms so your resilience strengthens.

A teen program is also available for youths who feel anxiety, depression, were bullied, or who have abused drugs to cope with problems. This track encourages you to handle stress in school, home, and first jobs without resorting to drugs. That way, your social and cognitive skills will be stronger and healthier.

I am so grateful for the calming, safe environment that Linnea has created in the PHP program. From the very beginning, it was clear that her focus was on helping clients feel secure while working through trauma. The space felt supportive and nonjudgmental, allowing me to open up at my own pace.In addition to providing a sense of safety, they offered practical skills and tools for coping that I can use in my daily life. I ve grown so much during my time in the program, and I truly credit their guidance and the environment they fostered.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient programs are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare. Rehab After Work & Rehab After School offers various outpatient therapy skills support and therapy groups designed for those that have abused drugs and/or alcohol in the past but are no longer using them. Some of these groups include age-specific groups, gender specific as well as co-ed groups, early recovery skills groups and co-dependency groups.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
These programs are designed for individuals that have been using drugs or alcohol and need frequent sessions to maintain abstinence. Some clients attend this outpatient addiction treatment program to gain control over their substance use problems before further inpatient treatment is required. Other clients attend this program as a step-down outpatient therapy option following an inpatient stay. During the client’s initial appointment or evaluation, they can help to determine which type of program is most appropriate and if an inpatient option is necessary, they can make recommendations at that time. Rehab After Work - Old York Road's focus is on education, community building, and group therapy. Groups are kept to an average of 8 members so all individuals get the focus needed for successful outpatient therapy. Family members, parents, and/or support persons are required to be involved in the individual’s treatment and are counseled as well to help their loved ones succeed.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Pennsylvania is devoted to the treatment of addiction. Levels of care, treatment methods, and settings differ, but the aim of each program is to end drug dependency and empower participants to achieve long-term recovery.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Creativity is inherently healing, and can help those in recovery express thoughts or feelings they might not otherwise be able to. Creative arts therapy can include music, poetry/writing, painting, sculpting, dance, theater, sandplay, and more. Unlike traditional art, the final product matters far less than the experience of creation and expression itself.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation. In addition to Rehab After Work - Old York Road's family outpatient therapy offered as part of the IOP, family therapy sessions are provided as individualized family therapy for the specific client and their family members. These appointments will be made as requested by the client, family, or counselor during the day or evening hours. Family therapy appointments can be made for any type of family members.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Sound therapy (aka sound healing or vibrational medicine) uses sonic vibrations to stimulate healing at the cellular level. Vibrations, either from the human voice or resonant objects like tuning forks, gongs, or Tibetan bowls, affect cellular resonance in the body, which can help heal the impact of anxiety, depression, trauma, and more.

I attended the IOP Program in 2022 and PHP/IOP in 2024.I attended both in person and virtually without issue. Facility was clean, easy to get, and had snacks and tea/coffee. Counselors were knowledgeable, understanding, and good group facilitators. Good mix of processing and skills. I enjoyed the mix of activities in PHP including dance, art, music, and yoga. I was also happy that individual, group, family and psychiatry sessions were available every week. I thrived with the consistency week over week. After attending both times, my mental health improved and I learned more skills to deal with life stressors.Only con was billing information was not immediately available.

Tori was super sweet and understanding. Jayda, berating and condescending. She ll say things like I m on your side and then deliberately to things that say the exact opposite. For example, I m also in the medical cannabis program (which she stated wasn t going to be an issue) and when asked why, I gave her my (valid) reasons in which she agreed. She commented and said I was a bit defensive and that s when she said she was on my side. (For context, I take two different kinds of medicine before I go to bed and they make it almost impossible to get up in the morning; while sharing this concern with both the psychiatrist and Jayda, there was no room for accommodation. Despite being active in group and genuinely benefiting from the therapy. They had said technically 9:30 was the latest (8:30 start). If given the opportunity I would ve made it before 9:30!) Jayda discharged me after a week and a half with a rude and blaming attitude wrapped in professional euphemisms; She added that another reason for discharge was my refusal to quit medical cannabis After explicitly claiming that it doesn t affect my continuing treatment. There was also another girl enrolled who is in the same program and she made it all the way through! It just seemed very insincere. So, I found a new program and they are so kind and accommodating, their program isn t even fully made for me but they ve accommodated and kept me anyways just because it seemed like the right fit. I m telling yall, if you feel anxious and like there is so much pressure to perform after already taking a big step in participating in emotionally exhausting groups.. it s probably not the right place for you. I am now at Hope destiny and they are amazing!! So pleased and grateful. Rejection is Gods protection
