Poor experience. Sabrina was excellent my therapist she left. They gave me someone who was straight out of kindergarten next. That didn't work. Next someone who pretended to know what therapy is. That didn't work. Get Julia who is phenomenal. Love her. And I send a text message as I've done and told Kristina that I'm very sick and will not be able to make it at my appointment, 8 hours from now. Did not get any text message back nor an email. I anticipated getting something from her. Very unprofessional. The last time that I had to call out it was a half hour before my appointment because I was stuck at CVS trying to get a prescription in line and they charged me. I thought this was very unfair they could have Let It Go for one time. Yes they are all about money! So now I'm left without a very good therapist finally I had. I do not recommend this company at all. They are all about the dollar. And a lot of reviews prove this. There are things that they can Overlook but they don't. I did get a response back from this receptionist and she said simply, like she didn't understand what happened? Simple I sent you a text message you never responded. Very poor communication

The counseling itself was not the issue. I enjoyed my time here. The issue was that life happened and I could not line my schedule up with my counselors. After a few weeks of not being able to coordinate, I was called and told they would have to drop me as a client if I did not schedule an appointment! How off putting. I never when back after this. They really just threw me out the door like all the work we had done didn t matter.

They re con artist, please research another provider before making an appointment. I ve already started the process to reverse payments with my insurance company!

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Treatments

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.

Clinical Services

Group therapy offers insight into behavioral patterns and triggers. This can lead to a better understanding of your addictive behaviors, which in turn promotes sobriety and sustainable recovery. You can share your experiences and strategies you use to overcome triggers and learn new strategies from your peers.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Trauma therapy offers you a safe space to process a traumatic experience as therapists use trauma informed care. Your therapist works to support your understanding of your emotional and physical responses to the trauma while developing healthier coping skills. This helps to foster a sense of empowerment that leads to recovery.

During couples therapy in Connecticut, you will learn skills such as problem solving, conflict resolution, and anger management. The goal is to develop techniques that will help you successfully navigate relationship challenges.

Family therapy sessions work to strengthen the family unit by addressing addiction related conflicts and fostering support between family members. Your therapist guides family members in developing effective communication strategies and creating an environment that aids in your loved one's recovery.

Since opening my small business, Reflections Counseling and the owner, Kari Ann, have been huge community supporters. They have been wonderful to collaborate with - very respectful and easy to communicate with. And always so professional. I love working with them!

My second review, after leaving an upset, unflattering review within half on hour on a Sunday, I receive a text from the founder on my person cell phone asking me why, and she thought I was ok, and that I said thanks for her help. I said you must misunderstand, it is your job to help, I was tired of going back and forth with you, because you have to have the last word, who needs therapy? I should not need to ask for a bill, it should be sent to clients. I was covered by insurance with TeleHealth and forced to come into the office, and started being charged, and received no notice from the office that they were going to start charging my card, they forced me to keep on file to even see a therapist in their office. I understand that insurance blah blah, when you make a change to a clients billing and you are going to be charging money to a card on file it is only nice to send a bill, forewarn, say something. NOTHING! For months.Fast forward a few days I ask for all my records, billing, diagnostic, I am by law allowed access to it all, and now no one in the office will say BOO to me. I have to message the therapist and say I will get a lawyer involved. I get a threatening, "This is my last e-mail to you, you said don't contact you anymore" umm yeah, on my personal cell phone, but I would think if a client is asking for their records you would respond. Not worth it, therapy for therapy is needed.

It is so heartwarming to see a local business practice what they preach. Over the last year, I've seen Reflections pop up at various Wethersfield events - either as sponsors or participants. Their scarecrow display on Main Street in OW was one of my favorites (loved the little Starbucks detail!) and the work they do to acknowledge and thank our local elementary schools goes above and beyond. Well done to the owner and team for supporting their clients' communities.

Unfortunately their billing office is very unprofessional and will not return phone calls when a client has questions concerning billing policies. They will text you, but will refuse to take our return your call.

It took me a long time to leave a review for this place, but here it goes. I brought daughter in about 4 times. When I scheduled her 1st visit I mentioned we had private insurance & medicaid as a secondary to cover copayments. The lady said " it wasn't a problem" after about our 3rd visit the counselor asked me to come in also. I do & she looks concerned. She tells me I need to get in touch w their billing office bc they haven't been receiving copayments. The very next day I call medicaid & they inform me the 1st copayment had been paid & the 2nd visit was pending. I call the billing office& tell her who I am & my daughter (the issue with copayments) she replied with "we're all aware with the situation" strange..Since I couldn't afford the copayments the billing office said they would call me when the chks were received so I could schedule additional visits. I'm not sure what the issue was maybe they weren't being paid quick enough. I felt we were being discriminated bc our insurance. The billing office never called me & we had one more visit that was already scheduled. After that visit I asked my daughter how was it. She said the counselor told her "I don't know what else to tell you" about some issues my daughter was having at the time. We decided not to go back. (They never call me either) Here I am again looking for help & stumbled on this place. I was disappointed to say the least.

Hello, I m sorry this experience happened to you and unsure if this was with our practice? We are not legally able to charge due to Medicaid guidelines and our contract with them and never would stop sessions due to the inability to pay. We have several options to help clients and I am not aware of any recent situations that you are describing? Can you please call me directly at 860.837.0401 or email me at info@reflectionsccs.com.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend this practice. This is what I've experienced and I think it's important to know. My therapist several times had to cancel or reschedule appointments on the same day due to medical conditions, which is understandable; however one time I had to reschedule my appointment on the same day due to a medical condition as well (being sick)and I got charged $105 for no show/cancelation fee. I called to talk to them and try to fix it; but apperently K. Greaves won't approve the refund. It sounds very UNFAIR to me. To me it sounds that it's ok for the therapist be sick and cancel at anytime, but if the patient is really sick and has proof that went to a doctors appointment on the same day it's not ok. So BE CAREFUL !!! Don't get sick on the same day of your appointment because they don't care and you will be charged!! Also the lack of communication in the office is bad. Got a call from the office that my therapist won't be returning after a medical procedure (totally understandable) that I needed to switch therapist. I had no problem with that. However I reached out to my therapist to wish her well and to make sure she was ok. SURPRISED!!! She had no clue what I was talking about. Very disappointed with this practice and unfortunately I can't and won't be recommending it to anyone.
