My experience is solely based upon my therapist. She missed more appointments than I did and kicked me out because of "attendance" if you have recurring health issues don't waste your time here because they don't care about you. 3 months were telehealth but she refused to do it when I as the patient asked. ADA Violations for sure. How are they receiving grant money for this?YOU DO MATTER!!! Find a place that makes you feel as such!!!!

I have debilitating adhd and cannot get meds here. It really sucks. I used to get them at University health. They are biased against poor people. Only gave two stars because the walk in clinic and my therapist is cool. But there policies are messed up. Its not med seeking if you have a legitimate diagnosis.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Treatments

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Hard pass here, I ve had some luck with university health, the murry road location in lees summit; made an appointment with me a week into me calling (I work strange hours) the receptionists are so kind and friendly/supportive. I ve noticed the abundance of negative comments but none mentioned other places to check out. The mental health marathon many of us can we long and tough at times. You reaching out for help, love that and I hope you re able to get the much needed help you deserve. Take this as an example to use your mindfulness exercise and don t give up. Proud of you.

Mental Health process is hard enough, the journey for us to get a medication to work and manage with the side effects.. is already asking for a bit too much. But we push through because we want to feel better, we don t want to suffer anymore. We want to feel. Then to encounter people that cannot remain professional and also let us fall through the cracks is disheartening.

I was just discharged from the facility without previous warning via letter because I missed a couple appointments throughout a year. I was only going to Rediscover for medication, so now I just have to HOPE I find a provider in time before I run out of medicine.I already had a bad opinion of Rediscover because of my provider nurse, Nancy, would make inappropriate comments within minutes of greeting me about losing weight, gaining weight, guilt about holiday food and planning on walking it off, etc. She would also frequently comment on how easy it must be to gain weight at my job. Coming from someone who has dealt with disordered eating for a lot of my life, and having actually brought it to my provider s attention during one of my appointments, it was frustrating and inappropriate as a health care provider in a mental health facility.Overall, the only decent thing about this place was April at least helping me find a medication that worked for me. Customer service was hit or miss (mostly miss), the nurse was insufferable, and getting anyone, particularly the office, to call back within a reasonable amount of time was like pulling teeth.

This place that I refuse to call by a name is absolutely terrible.Let s start with Nancy- the nurse of April Garner. She seems unsure about everything she does and says, even her long voicemail message doesn t make sense.April Garner- It was good until it wasn t. I never got a diagnosis just some medication. I m not sure that her credentials are, but they can t be for psychiatry or mental health period.Front Desk- They barely answer the phones and when they do are extremely rude.Billing- They are not at all transparent about billing. I started getting random bills after about 3-4 visits. I was never informed about a co-pay or any charges. I was led to believe that the services were of no cost to the patient.Prescriptions- Apparently you need an appointment to get a refill. Just another reason for them to send you another random bill in the next few months.Therapist- I never seen a therapist through them, I was told that there was a waiting list of over 100 people.I d suggest going somewhere else. Mental health is a very serious concern and this place lacks the capacity to actually help people to reach mental wellness.

Awful place. They waited 120+ days to send me a bill that I didn't know I had. They didn't call me or email me about it, they only sent the bill to an old address and neglected to tell me until the max late fee would be paid. These guys try to take all the money from you that they can.

Helped me when I was deep in my addiction to see the light and life was worth living... They saved my life... Helped me get sober and taught me skills to cope with the stressors of life rather than drinking and drugging... Help me get back on my feet and get my life back thru counseling and meds and a handful of resources... Got me on Medicaid and some meds to help with my craving and with draws... We made a plan to set some goals now I'm working and staying at a sober living house with hopes of being in my own place sooner than later... I could have never done it without rediscover and their team of people and their helping hand in my recovery
