Recovered And Free is the perfect name for this place.I am personally a recovered addict/alcoholic who has been relieved of the obsession to use for 18 years. I often help men through the same 12 step process that allowed me to experience freedom. Over the past 4 or so years, I ve worked with a few men in this facility as a sponsor. I ve been so impressed with RAF s immersion in the 12 steps and the literature, that I have sent men there who were struggling to hear the solution, from me or others, by simply going to meetings, etc. The changes I ve witnessed in men completing RAF s program are simply miraculous. When I recently had a family member at the point of desperation from the disease of alcoholism & addiction who was willing to make some changes; I knew where to send him.He has been diligent in his 12 step work according to weekly reports from staff.Today, my family and I visited him for the first time at RAF. He held his head high with a confidence we haven t seen in him in years. His eyes and skin are clear, his defeated body language diminished. Above the obvious physical changes; he sounds, smiles, laughs like the loving cousins I grew up with. His understanding of what it takes to become more free, to continue the 12 step process as a way of living, and most importantly to help others with the solution, is undeniably changing his life.My family is forever grateful.Thank you Recovered And Free!!

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Per session payment lets you pay for each treatment at the time of service. You may also pay for a certain number of sessions up front and then pay for more if needed. This format allows you to tailor the financial investment to your specific needs and avoid having a large lump sum payment due at the end of the treatment program.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Rehab aftercare programs are based on a model of continuing care and the premise that recovery is a life-long process requiring ongoing client support. Many rehab aftercare services include outpatient care, but clients often continue to receive support after being discharged from formal treatment. Case managers and care teams typically collaborate with clients to design their long-term care plan, which may include peer coaching, career counseling, and 12 step program induction, among other services.
12-step icon12-Step
12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

During rehab in Texas, you'll deal with underlying issues that contribute to addiction. By addressing these challenges and learning healthy ways to cope with them, you'll develop strategies that help you live a drug-free lifestyle.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
military-program thumbnail image
Military Program
Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

Individual therapy offers you a confidential space to address the complexities of your drug or alcohol addiction. Your therapist guides these personalized sessions to help develop self awareness and manage stress. This promotes sustained sobriety and overall well being.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

R&F's 4.9 rating speaks for itself, but personal testimony spelling out specific details has always been my go-to measuring stick, so here is mine. I was impressed by the rural, distraction-free setting that fosters healthy meditation and contemplation. The facility is quiet, aesthetically warm, and clean. There is a genuine team spirit among the administration, staff, and clients. All of the them share similar, though not identical, recovery journeys. Admins and staff TRULY empathize with their clients, because. they. have. been. there! Readily available by phone. Always gracious to give progress updates. Respectful, supportive and firm with clients and helpful to their families. I've had one-on-one discussions with individual staff members and with the director, and they greatly impressed me with their (hard-learned) wisdom and compassionate hearts for the men in their care. I heartily recommend R & F! I will be ever grateful to them and to God for their investment in my son's life!

Rob, we are honored by your kind words. We have been through the furnace that s for sure but that was so we could connect with your son. It is our great hope that he too will take what he has experienced here to wherever the path leads heads him to help others find freedom. It was a pleasure to meet you. And we look forward to the journey ahead for you all.

I came to Recovered and Free 2 years ago: broken, suicidal and unable to keep a needle out of my arm. The staff is knowledgeable and it's clear they have recovered from their addiction with the help of God. With their guisance I developed a close and personal relationship with the God of my understanding and have been free from my addiction for 2 years.

For years I struggled with addiction and never really knew what I was up against. At Recovered and Free I learned that I suffered from a disease of the mind and body that was bigger and more powerful than me. I saw men who thought and felt like me, suffered from the same thing I did but yet they were living life and seemed happy. There I was able to start and form a relationship with a Power greater than myself which I call God, by which I could live. Forever grateful for Don Radon and the men at Recovered and Free for helping save my life so that I could be used to help others.

This place is nothing like what I expected, but it was necessary . I wanted to do something different, and this place is different . RAF has helped me to live a different way of life . If your beat down and want to try a new way of living this is the place to come to that offers a solution to your problem . This place has shown me what true love and tolerance means . Off the bat coming into this place the dudes here loved me where I was at . Continue to do so and have been able to experience some genuine freedom from coming through the program here at RAF . Not the experience that I wanted here, but it was the experience that was needed for me . Nothing else has worked for me, but RAF is the place that facilitated the experience needed to get me sober . This place has helped turn me from a scared little boy into learning that I can walk through life successfully with what is offered here . This place got me plugged in and has saved my life .

Bryce, all your past struggles are an asset. They are the ladder that will help another brother out of the hole he finds himself in... and he will discover freedom just as you have. Keep shining your light on to your family, co-workers, and friends. You're a great man and are called to dl great things. Keep it up, God's got you!

If you or your loved one have tried everything else and the freedom is not sustained or happening much at all, go here. Or send your loved one here. This is about as a unique special situation and extremely undervalued as I have ever seen in the recovery industry. No cliche statements or adding to what is not. Straight up, Recovered and Free will add value that is unexpected. This center is a diamond in the rough and I do not say that lightly. Lives are on the line here. Worth it worth it worth it. Don helped me see clearly in a way I have not before and it helped give me the handles to begin to forgive myself and see selfishness I was blind to. Without those key moments I don't know where I would be! God's grace imo partners with RAF to help those that many have given up on.

Kyle, no two paths are ever the same but I'm so glad that ou s crossed. You have walked a difficult path and nothing is ever a straight line. It has been a joy to see you navigate this path; a challenging and rewarding reunion with your children, business, and the people around you. You continue to shine light into those dark places and it shows.

I cannot express enough how grateful I am for Recovered and Free. Even though I didn't personally attend their program, the impact they had on my life is immeasurable. When I reached out to them for help with my boyfriend's addiction, Don not only got him into the program but also provided me with extremely valuable resources.Curiosity led me to attend one of their meetings called Mixed Nuts, and in that short time, I learned so much and instantly felt like I had found the right place. It was there that I decided to start working the steps for both alcoholism and codependency. Currently, I am on step 10 and plan to continue working the steps for the rest of my life.I cannot express how happy I am with where I am today, and I owe it all to Recovered and Free. Their support and guidance have been instrumental in my journey towards recovery. I am also confident that my boyfriend will leave the program equipped with the necessary tools to maintain his own recovery and freedom.Thank you, Recovered and Free, for changing my life and giving me hope for a brighter future.

At 53, I was on a chronic relapse cycle for the last 6-7 years and I have struggled with addiction since I was 15 . I had been to 5 treatment centers to try to get sober. I was beaten by addiction again. This time I was loosing everything. I knew of the solution offered at RAF. I m so glad I called Don and that I was accepted at RAF as a client. The staff and program are unique and second to none. They care about you and want you to be successful.I was desperate for a new experience and a new relationship with God. RAF guided me through the 12 steps in a beautiful and intense way that facilitated a new experience that is life changing. One of the many things I am grateful to RAF for is the opportunity to witness the staff and alumni living out what they were taught at RAF. The community driven program offered us the opportunity practice, on a daily basis, walking out the principles we were learning. If a man is struggling and is desperate for freedom, RAF is the place that offers it. If someone you care about is struggling with alcoholism or addiction, call RAF today! They are waiting for your call.John H

John, thank you for the kind words. As it is for you it was for us also. Seeing was believing. We all found our way out of the darkness by watching someone who was carrying a torch. They, too, had been intimately familiar with the darkness when someone came to them the torch. The very same torch that led us to freedom. We were here to pass it on to you John so you, in turn, could pass it on to others. And for those of you who want to escape the darkness, we re here for you too.
