The R4R treatment program is not evidence based & you will be reading from TC books as "treatment". Even the PHP & IOP topics were all from his books....homework assignments include reading from his book. From my experience, it appears the owner has an insatiable thirst to be admired, & has an grandiose sense of self importance. Most , if not all staff , are connected to TC either as FAMILY , or are past clients with NO EDUCATION on trauma, grief & loss, etc.Bottom line, R4R is just 1 option in a sea of thousands to assist with recovery. I like the idea of R4R, but the facts are his staff are not licensed professionals, the program is straight up from his books, & if you question the program , you will be removed.

We have always been who we are and will continue to do so. Would you care to elaborate on this? Was compliance an issue and therefore the opportunity to utilize us was lost? Go elsewhere? Nobody else does what we effectively do. Do you see all the positive reviews here? Those are from people who are doing very well because they simply utilized our program the way it was intended and is intended to be utilized.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Rehab aftercare programs are designed to ensure clients receive continuing care while in the maintenance phase of recovery. Some clients may be in outpatient treatment, which is generally considered to be an element of drug rehab aftercare. The specific services provided in these programs are often determined by the client's case manager and care team in consultation with the client. Common services include peer coaching, career counseling, and 12 step program induction.
heart-hands iconIntervention Services
Intervention services help family members prepare for a drug intervention in Ohio. During an intervention, family members typically read letters they have prepared that explain how the individual's substance abuse has affected their lives and relationships. Each family member also explains what they will do if the individual does not agree to get treatment. An intervention specialist offers support to guide this discussion and makes appropriate treatment recommendations.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Ohio provides comprehensive treatment to address the physical and psychological needs of those struggling with substance use disorders. This may involve inpatient and/or outpatient care.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Experiential therapy in Ohio is a hands on intervention method that focuses on doing and feeling. The method is client centered and tailored to the individual's interests. It may include drama therapy, animal assisted therapy, martial arts, or wilderness therapy.

This place is not helping people! They barely have licensed staff that deal in recovery! They don t care about people they are racist! They are clearly just trying to make money off people that actually need help! Truly sad! Prayers for all who are there! They do not have any type real recovery classes or curriculum. DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE WHO NEEDS HELP GO HERE!!! I unfortunately spent a few days at this place which didn t get me a therapist immediately didn t offer assistance to get to any outside meetings the groups are not educating on any specific issues that would help someone! This program is based off Todd and his books only! I do not refer anyone to this and left immediately do to lack of everything that someone trying to better themselves would need!

It comes down to whether u r ready to be sober or not!!!! Their approach is definitely different and not for everyone. Todd is a good guy but he is human. No one is perfect. They have a heart to help ppl and that is a under statement. The only thing that I can pick apart is the fact the support outside of the program lacks. The only after care for meetings is the Thursday live meeting. When I went thru I was not ready to stay clean. I made a choice and suffered the consequences. Todd's views are different from traditional 12 step programs. He doesn't believe it is a disease and that's fine but why is insurance billed for substance abuse? To each is it's own and I won't knock anyone who stays clean no matter how u do it!!

Truly unprecedented and revolutionary. Your recovery, your choice! Unless you want to work the 12 steps. Or attend sober support group meetings outside of this bubble. Or if you believe addiction is a disease. Or if you are not on a plant based diet. Or if you disagree with taking advantage of vulnerable clients, particularly women. Or associate with anyone else in the community not affiliated with this prestigious program. Or if you have any sort of backbone and stand on your own moral authority. Or if you speak up and disagree with any unethical practice you may witness. Or if you choose to step out and explore other avenues of recovery. Other than that, the choice is yours!

My father attended this program and maintained sobriety. He continued on to get his college degree and works here now. When he first walked into R4R, I was with him. I had nothing but good things to say about this place, their staff and their methods. This was five years ago. And now it's improved even more. I just started my career with them, and I couldn't be happier. It's an incredible place to work, and an even better place to start your sober journey.

I should be allowed to use Medical Marijuana to treat my inflammatory bowel disease. Otherwise I get uncontrollable diarrhea and nausea. Them telling me I can't participate in recovery because I'm not "100% clean" is very, very discouraging. It was extremely hard to get off of my drug of choice (benzos). It took me over a year. I don't understand how they are not able to recognize this as an accomplishment just because I have a medical marijuana card. The majority of these people drink caffeine and smoke nicotine cigarettes.

I couldn't not share a little of my experience with this establishment. It has been nothing but beneficial for my life. I've struggled with addiction and have been through other programs in the past which also has pushed me in the right direction but only to a degree. Racing for Recovery helps me to focus more on the fact that being an addict was a thing of my past. I don't have to be that today. Todd has really helped me focus on the individual I am and the great possibilities there are for my future. With the personal level I'm on with my case manager (Jeff),it's easy to get comfortable with opening up and helping me to find solutions for the issues at hand that I'm facing. I recommend this place to anyone that wants to get themselves back and better. Thank you
