About QAM West Milwaukee

QAM - Quality Addiction Management in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is a comprehensive treatment center for alcohol and drug rehab, offering levels of care including medically assisted detox, outpatient treatment and medication assisted treatment. Treatment is available for young adults aged 18+ and adults of all ethnicities and walks of life.

QAM offers medically assisted drug detox, including pre detox assessments. They also provide ongoing symptom management to assist individuals in the early stages of their recovery journey.

QAM also offers outpatient treatment, including support for those with concurrent mental health issues. Outpatient treatment at QAM begins with an admissions process and intake appointment to address any previous treatments clients may have received, as well as basic assessments. Following this, clients will be issued a personalized treatment plan that will feature individual and group therapy. Modalities include cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy.

A key component of QAM’s outpatient services is its medication assisted treatment program for treating opioid addiction. While many clinics only offer one or two medication options as part of medication assisted treatment, QAM offers four, including methadone, naltrexone, buprenorphine and Suboxone. The QAM team will help determine whether medication assisted treatment is suitable as part of a client’s personalized treatment plan, and if so, which medication would be the best choice for their needs.

QAM accepts self pay, Medicaid, Medicare and Military insurance, alongside many commercial insurance options. Clients are advised to check coverage with individual providers regarding out of network benefits.

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

12-step icon12-Step

12 step programs take a holistic approach to addiction recovery, combining peer support with personal spiritual growth. These programs prioritize regular attendance at 12 step meetings, which are free, anonymous, peer-led, and available day and night in most communities. Spiritual principles are invoked to help participants address the root causes of addiction, accept responsibility, and relinquish control over that which cannot be changed. Dedicated programs for specialized groups, such as youth and seniors, are common.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.
