outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

aftercare iconAftercare

Clients engaged in a rehab aftercare program have already completed high-level treatment and have begun to develop essential recovery skills. Rehab aftercare services are designed to support clients' sustained sobriety as they reintegrate into their home, workplace, and community. Case managers, care teams, and clients design the customized service portfolio that will best support the client's long-term sobriety. Clients may receive peer coaching, 12 step program induction, vocational training, and relapse prevention services.

12-step icon12-Step

12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).

alcohol iconAlcoholism

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

drugs iconDrug Addiction

Drug rehab in Michigan provides personalized treatment to help individuals break this cycle and regain control of their lives. Treatment methods are used in various levels of care, including inpatient rehab, partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient programs, and standard outpatient treatment.

mental-health iconMental Health and Substance Abuse

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Hand holding medical sign icon Clinical Services

inpatient-file iconCognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

dialectical iconDialectical Behavior Therapy

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

intervention iconGroup Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

mental-health iconIndividual Therapy

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

desert iconMotivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a clinical approach to helping people with substance abuse issues and other conditions shift behavior in positive ways. It is more goal-oriented than traditional psychotherapy, as MI counselors directly attempt to get clients to consider making behavioral change (rather than wait for them to come to conclusions themselves). Its primary purpose is to resolve ambivalence and help clients become able to make healthy choices freely.

house-medical iconTrauma Therapy

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

couples-therapy iconCouples Therapy

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

family iconFamily Therapy

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

life-skills iconLife Skills

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

recreational-therapy iconRecreational Therapy

Recreational therapy (aka therapeutic recreation) uses creative and fun activities to help with addiction recovery. Recreational therapists lead patients in entertaining and engaging activities like sports or games; art (drawing, painting, sculpture); drama, music, and dance; and/or community outings (field trips) to improve patients' physical, social, and emotional well-being.

I just brought my 12m old to the ER and everything from the waiting room, triage, and in the room especially my interaction with the NP that saw us was appalling. I watched someone openly Brag about taking meds they weren t prescribed (adderal) and how he was there to get his sleeping meds filled and he went back before a lady complaining of left sided numbness, or a man with chest pain or even the lady that came in and chopped part of her finger off (she left because of the wait). I m pretty understanding but what I just witnessed they should be ashamed and their care investigated

My daughter has been to this hospital emergency room multiple times due to having hyperemesis gravidarum and is currently getting intravenous fluids. She was admitted once and given banana bags throughout the night, which was the only time in over a month she has felt ok. They let her go the next day giving her more of the prescriptions she already had that didn t work. She has been severely dehydrated and malnourished and was too weak to walk to her appointment today. She throws up violently and most days can t keep food down or liquids. I spoke with a nurse because she said she has told them everything and they refuse to admit her saying that she doesn t meet criteria for admission. Her condition IS criteria for admission. She is not going to make it if she doesn t get help, and the baby is not going to be ok unless she gets help. The only doctor that has shown concern and intelligence is a Dr. Bruss. Thank God for him. I hope she can get his help soon again. I m worried sick.

Wasn't breathing good felt like i would pass out after walking short distances and sitting. I know what is wrong and hoped to get help. At 2:00 am it wasn't better and when I laid down it kicked up. I live by myself and thought I could get help. First thing the ambulance attendant said was bariatric related. Should have took the hint. Minimal everything. I'm medicaid. This easy fix problem has me not able to work. Don't rely on help here. You might get minimal help with everyday injury. But they take it as a joke and something to make fun of. If you need help go somewhere else.

I've read a lot of bad things about this hospital but overall, I had a good experience with them. I was brought in to ER at 11:30pm in horrible pain and immediately had nurses trying to help me. Although I was in ER for a several hours, they ran CT scans and Ultrasounds and managed the pain before admitting me. Within hours of admitting me and running more tests, I was already booked and having surgery. The nurses were great and made the stay a bit more pleasant, especially Lynda, Pat, and Rachel. The doctors could have been a bit more pleasant and informative.

1st time I went there Dr.Ford told me to have a baby and get a job to help my anxiety and panic attacks. 2nd time I was diagnosed with Ascties, given random meds and sent home. I'm in so much pain and I'm new to the area. I'll never set foot in that er again. What garbage Dr's. Dr. Gabriel Vega has the worst bedside manner. Thank goodness for my nurse Amy.

I just delivered a baby here last week and I m beyond happy with my experience. You hear so many stories about women s experience and you get nervous BUT I had a great experience. All of my nurses were so patient and caring. Even when the baby did want to come they were patient tried multiple different things to help the labor process, I didn t feel rushed or uneasy. Every staff member I encountered was so pleasant. My delivery and the process was so smooth. My recovery was great. I m a first time mom, all of my questions and concerns were answered, my worries were cleared when I had any, I got info to help me with the transition. Cori, Autumn, Erin & the rest that took care of me thank you so much !

I was brought to their ER after having a witnessed arrest at my son's home. My son initiated CPR and after about 2 minutes I had ROSC. Important: son is a Nurse Anesthetist and his wife is a CCU RN. Wife is a retired nurse. I am a retired RN- ER and Trauma and Surgery for 43 years. I was vomiting and had horrible vertigo for hours after arrival to the ER. My nameband information was incorrect and because my nurse never double-checked the info even once, the error wasn't caught. The staff was rude, treated us terribly and made comments outside my cubicle to each other, such as, "The doctor thinks it is just a panic attack, we offered him Ativan and he refused it....". The doctor's parting comment was, "If your son was good at CPR, your cardiac enzymes would be elevated..." Thankfully I was allowed to go home and am away from this death trap. I am following up with my cardiologist.EDIT (24AUG24): a few days after this review was written, I was on my way to get an implanted pacemaker/defibrillator for ventricular tachycardia (greater than 17 seconds in duration) and progressive hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy.

If I could give zero stars I could. I ve only been here twice in the last couple years and both times were a nightmare. The first was a work related incident and they sent me to collections because they didn t bill properly to the insurance/worker comp. Finally got that resolved Then the next time was for a simple stitches procedure which I m still battling as they ve billed me MULTIPLE times for an already paid bill. They ran it through three times for the same visit. I d rather bleed out than go here ever again.
