Medical briefcase icon Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

inpatient iconInpatient

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

aftercare iconAftercare Support

Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Heart icon Treatment

alcohol iconAlcoholism

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

drugs iconDrug Addiction

When you enroll in drug rehab in Virginia, a treatment plan is designed by professional staff in order to help you overcome drug addiction and modify addictive behaviors. This may include evidence-based treatments, group and individual therapy, and relapse prevention.

mental-health iconMental Health and Substance Abuse

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

couples-therapy iconCouples Therapy

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

family iconFamily Therapy

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

intervention iconGroup Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

mental-health iconIndividual Therapy

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Something that I loved about William Medical Center was that they showed me everything I needed to learn step by step to make sure I understood completely what I needed to change. The program was also great and covered everything I needed it to cover.

Broke my arm and came here for help. The lady at the front just smirked at me. Later someone asked me if I like living in America? My nurse was mean. This hospital has no empathy. Go to another hospital even if it s farther away.

Nurses are very kind. However, Dr. Penna, anesthesiologist, is awful and rude. She has awful manners and isn t kind. I dont know why she does what she does if she is rude to people who are in a vulnerable situation. This is my second experience with her and it seems like this is just her awful personality

had my first delivery at this hospital, and it was a truly horrible experience. The postpartum ward nurses were unhelpful, not even assisting with diaper changes. As a first-time mother, I was struggling to feed my baby, and the nurses would just walk away, ignoring us. Teela, one of the techs, told me I couldn't have more underwear and suggested I keep wearing the same one, even after using the restroom. My mother-in-law, who was visiting the country for the first time, also needed help with diaper changes and feeding the baby, but the nurses refused to assist, saying we should already know how to do it. One nurse even walked away when we asked for help. I requested to speak with the manager, but she never came. Only a supervisor (daine) eventually came to speak with me.They are extremely stingy with supplies like baby diapers, wipes, and underwear. They literally count every item they give out.I wouldn t recommend anyone to have their delivery there. Be careful your paying so much and they treat you like hell there.

BEWARE, get your records. THEIR INPATIENT UNIT IS OPERATING AN INSURANCE FRAUD SCHEME.Terse wording & grammar due to 4096 character limit.Started with Dr. Peresechenski at NHPA. Hospital was also NH. Dr. P. s position in NH was ambiguous, included inpatient doctor.Convinced me Lurasidone, antipsychotic, was an antidepressant. Falsified records to make look legit, and as if had done diligence not done. Not knowing she d lied, I asked about DMV paperwork in front of her coworkers. So she perpetuated the fraud into that - but vaguely.I went to ask why. Spoke openly with her coworkers. Oh no! She used rapid-fire interrupting with You ve no insight into your condition to keep me from speaking + herself having to answer anything. Yelled STOP! to get in What condition? She d discussed none.Tricked me into a process I didn t know was internment in inpatient unit. Falsified hospital s records to ensure it.Claims like: license suspended for reckless driving . She knew it false: it was her paperwork, never been accused of reckless driving. And Not sleeping when I d been sleeping fine, with my girlfriend thus witness.Next:Dr. Troncone saw me on 11-minute call received from work supervisor. Claimed obsessed with phone, afraid of being cut off from world. But cut off from world is/was my norm.Process not what agreed to, but twice threatened to send cops if I tried to leave.Next person: LPC Annis (now in Wisconsin). Couldn t keep up adding Dr. P. s claims; recorded almost everything wholly opposite. Claims for imprisonment so weak & vague could never justify it; said couldn t contact Dr. P. so inpatient by default , but records contacting Dr. P.When paperwork came, wasn t comfortable signing. Person threatened to have someone from the county force you to sign . They abused signature to claim all was voluntary.I signed formal demand for release ASAP: next morning. They acknowledged it, made as if to counter it, decided not to because seemed compliant under threat, ignored it. Rights breach.Dr. Maria Moreno: claimed 20-minute interaction was 70. When interactions failed to justify imprisonment, omitted them, mined Dr. P. s false records to fabricate superficially plausible story of why I was there. Copied and pasted lists of discussion and diligence done, including impossible things like family education ; none contacted any family. Went on vacation. Tried to change claims for why imprisoned to more egregious ones, chose things I'd been cleared of by all prior.Dr. Partam Manalai repeated prior false claims.I asked why not released. Avoided large claims, picked small claims. I debunked rapidly. I demanded, per work supervisor s advice, to speak to patients advocate . Oh no! Instead, let me get girlfriend s #, records learning from her basis for diagnosis and inpatient were false, immediately released me.Falsified records to cover for priors. E.g.: that I d satisfied conditions of release I neither did nor knew; listed 7 things resolved , including: several never pretensed, & several impossible. E.g. EtOH Withdrawal when all recorded I don t drink, & blood tests before and during show zero alcohol use; homicidal thoughts despite none recording any, didn t exist yet.All avoided telling false claims, leaving no sense why did it all. Failed to gaslight into diagnosis that fit nothing. Exuberant personality? With no basis for sense of safety + other nuances e.g. antipsychotics make extinction learning signals impossible, PTSD I developed was incapacitating, caused also exacerbation of ADHD to extremity, micro strokes, extreme anxiety, & more.Medical & psych fraud has long-reaching implications. E.g. I m unlikely to ever have any income again:1. No longer lead scientist in renewable energy startup, about to get PhD. PTSD made homeless brain-damaged nomad incapable of most simple tasks.2. Falsified records make getting CDL back implausible.3. SSA denied disability based on false records of treatment of things that didn t exist yet, but were caused with/by the PTSD.

Took my daughter with high fever body aches, there was also a baby very sick crying and a lady severe pain we all sat there over 2 hours this blonde headed girl and her mom came in they were not there 10 minutes and the woman talked to the nurse and her and the girl were walking fine didn t seem to to be in pain walking around with their cups let them go back to a room while people in pain an obviously sick had been waiting over 2 hours so i went to counter to inquire a few minutes later they moved us to the hallway along with the others that seemed really sick and the blond headed girl and her mother not in the hallway like the rest of the people soWeather the nurse on staff was racist i do not know but someone needs to look into but it does not quite seem fair and we have good insurance which should not be a factor.

My girlfriend was nauseous, losing coherence, and vomiting nonstop, not to mention not eating for 3 days. We called 911, the hospital picked her up at noon, and by 3am she was released with a "take nausea medicine, you'll be OK" and that was it. We end up calling 911 again the next morning due to her continued vomiting and lack of eating. The hospital released her again by 5pm. We took her to INOVA hospital in Fairfax. She had a swollen liver, possible crohn's disease, colon complications, and a number of problems that should have been acknowledged. Had we taken the advice of this hospital and just taken her home, it scares me to imagine how bad her contition could have gotten due to this hospitals ignorance.

My wife was provided subpar care here when we came for the ER. They left her empty IV bag hanging on the ground for hours in the ER waiting area. Never came to check to see how she was doing. The feedback on her scans was not helpful, which led to us having to go elsewhere to have them redone. We will not plan on coming back here.

I had my surgery here today overall not a horrible experience until I went into to the PRE OP room. I was very overwhelmed having to do a surgery and being alone with no family company around so I started crying, RITA GONZALES anesthesia doctor has poor bed side manner telling me I shouldn t be crying and proceeded to laugh. I hope you Rita Gonzales are not ever placed in a situation where you have to trust someone to put you to sleep and then telling you that you shouldn t cry. as a first responder myself, having that sympathy for people goes along way. DO BETTER

Worst experience ever ! My cousin just had her baby here and she was in so much pain and it took about 40 -50 mins for a nurse to come in and check on her and give her a pain reliever !! While in very bad pain . Nurses did not care I went out twice to call and called through phone I do not recommend this Hospital at all. If I could give 0 starts I would please go somewhere else .
