Pls don't decide not to seek help here because of neg reviews, the ppl who work here want to help you, and will help u get ur life back if that's what u want. I've been to a few mat clinics and this is hands down the best. The directer Wendy is fair and accessible to patients and keeps things moving during busy dosing hours. Nowhere is perfect so a little patience goes a long way but I wouldn't be here without them...

Very disappointed with this clinic.1st things is the groups there are groups for females only & parenting but if you have grown children you can t attend WHY???? There is no Men s only group WHY??? This makes it difficult for people!!!! What does parenting have to do with addiction???? Why isn t there a men s only group the men have things that they would like to talk about without women!!!!! You want men & every one to get groups in but when we have time to do meetings we re stopped due to women only groups or parenting groups. Consider a men s only group. You penalizes people due to this and it s not fair. There are 13 groups that I can t do cause of restrictions on groups that s not right!!!!

Accepted Insurance

Pottstown Comprehensive Treatment Center works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Pennsylvania is devoted to the treatment of addiction. Levels of care, treatment methods, and settings differ, but the aim of each program is to end drug dependency and empower participants to achieve long-term recovery.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Hearing Impaired Program
A sensory disability, such as hearing impairment, can compound the challenges of addiction recovery. Drug rehabs that are specially designed to accommodate the needs of persons with hearing impairments will include special accessibility features and accommodations to make treatment as comfortable and effective as possible. This may include access to American Sign Language interpreters.

Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.

Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

They play favorites. And when an employee who is high up can admit her staff is full of drama that says a lot in itself. There is a patient there that acts like a child and has a problem with me but bc they allow her to control them somehow I m the one that got punished. I had 6 take homes, was threatened and got them all taken. I than was told I could only dose at a certain time and for over a month fought for a better time bc unlike the person with the problem w me I have kids to raise and two jobs 7 days a week. I basically got told I m screwed on being able to come in earlier even if I have to work. So I can t do early groups either. Then get told I could be kicked out bc the other person acted like a child. Even people in line laughed that I walked in, said nothing, put my head down and she literally pointed at me, yelled that I was there and acted like I was causing issues when it wasn t me that was. I get told I can come then by 7am and now I basically get told another time even tho it could effect my job like who cares. I am a single mom trying to get my life together. I than get asked what s wrong when I was obviously upset by the staff than the drama staff started issues. I have also been told if we are there together just ignore her, which is what I did. I feel the state needs to check out how this is running. Even being sent to another clinic could mess up me raising my kids, and I m literally all they have all while the person causing the problem has no job or no kids she actually raises. All around, even in groups it s been told the unfair treatment. Staff has told some of us they left bc of the unfair treatment. If you re heathers patient you get what you want, anyone else nope. And the way I was treated when I was trying to explain my side after being sat down, which I m sure the one that caused the issue wasn t sat down and won t be constantly gets away w it. I was threatened to be killed by this girl. And it s not my fault they didn t update my file stating I had to be there between 7-7:30 for my job. They want us to complete groups yet how do I do that if I can t coke in early. They should look at what happened the other day and tell her to grow up, don t speak or look at me. I ll do the same and we be able to be adults. Not the threats and favorites. I already have a call into my counselor bc he was there and a place that is run also by our place that told me who to call for unfair treatment bc even they said none of that should happen

The people that do the right things there never get the rewards that all the people that are doing the wrong things seem to get..plus a good majority of the staff dont care..i have been dehumanized by people that work there bc they think it's okay to talk down to people and treat us like we're children just because we're addicts. Especially the receptionist!

I am currently a patient at the Mechanicsburg location after transferring from the Pottstown location. I know it s difficult to understand when a review is just spewing hate, but let me just set the stage for you. Imagine waiting over an hour, 6 days a week to receive medication dosing. That is not an exaggeration or a fable, if you are thinking about attending this clinic be prepared to not be able to have a 1st shift/day shift position, because all clients have to work 2nd and 3rd shift due to the clinic and their staffing shortages. Clients literally bring fold up lawn chairs to sit in outside in the parking lot and front lawn due to the lengthy lines through the entire parking lot. Imagine standing in thunderstorms and snow storms for over an hour everyday outdoors due to the volume of clients lined up and the time it takes to make through the line. There are 25-40 people enrolled in over the phone groups where you can not obtain any knowledge due to everyone screaming. You also have to ask for a counselor, your counselor will never call you or will you know who your counselor is until you ask. If you are prescribed any narcotic medication, even if verified through your outside doctor. The physician within this clinic doesn t feel comfortable having someone on say, Adderall or sleeping medications in mixture with methadone. So you can be on those medications, however you will never be allowed to have take homes if you are legally prescribed other medications, it is up the clinic physician and she won t allow it. I understand the staff is trying at this location, however Acadia the parent company needs to stop accepting new patients at this location until they can service their current clients more effectively. It is truly sad that this is the only option for some clients, and this is what they need to attempt to deal with to get sober. I believe this location has caused great a many clients great issues due to their ineffective treatment. So I pray Acadia does something to help fix this location. Who wants to wait 1-2 hours a day to throw back a cup of liquid medication. It s bad enough the laws surrounding methadone are stuck in 1972, let alone waiting that long daily for your medications. Very sad situation.
